i have a wrt320n router and it used to work before but my internet provider said that its a router issue might need to change the wep setting or channel or connect ps3 up through the routers list of accessible .. So basically its not registering the IP address given and the wep key isn't wrong but its not approving it . Not sure what to do. I tried unplugging the router and I also did the same for the modem no luck. Signals 100% and my lap top and wii connect fine.
I have a E2000 router/access point. I am able to connect 3 laptops, 1 smartphone and 1 printer wirelessly to the access point. All computers and smartphone can access the Internet. The problem is that none of the devices can connect with each other and thus cannot print. I can ping the router, no problem. Get "request timed out" message when trying to ping from one device to the other. Router firmware is 1.04
Can your wireless router do a ping test to 22.214.171.124 [URL] or any other [URL] for that matter?Mine can't, either with my wireless PB G4 running OS X 10.4 or wired Dell running Windows XP. I tried it with a wrt54g v5 & wrt54g v6 both tests got a 'request timed out' with 100% packet loss. v5 had the latest firmware, v6 is still at 1.00.9
I was wondering if the AE1000 is the best option for the the E4200 wireless router? Ultimately I want an adapter that can take advantage of the full potential of the router (as in the 450 Mbps wireless speed).
Just fired up an e4200 router and was realy easy and everything working great HOWEVER I can a Canon MP490 printer that I have connected to the router via USB and Cisco Connect is only showing Wireless Printers as a connection option!!
I am on a MAC using OS X 10.7, have Cisco Connect Version 1.4 (12005.2) and the firmware updated today.
When accessing the E3200 router using then ERROR 501.Not Implemented. That method is not implemented. The error occured after enabling the "Local Management Access, Access via: HTTPS" option on the Administration > Management tab.I tried different browsers FireFox (version 10), Internet Explorer (version 8,9), the same error was displayed and no acces granted to the E3200 router. I reseted the router and tried the latest firmware 1.0.03 build 9 Feb 1, 2012, but after enablib the option the issue occured again and it is not possible to connect to the router.

WRT54GL has an option to restrict or share the bandwidth equally to each ethernet port or wireless? I need this option in a low bandwith area because the first computer connected to the router who makes some traffic (e.g. youtube) takes all the bandwith allocated by the ISP. url...
I'm trying to configure my Cisco Router 2811 which is also acting as the DHCP server for my branch office for DHCP option 60 and 43 so Aruba AP's at my branch can discover it's master Controller? What is the command I need to enter in the Cisco router?
I recently got a Motorola NVG510 (from AT&T, they changed our internet plan and sent a new router) and since then I've had problems with Skype. I think I've narrowed the problem down to there being no upnp on this router to enable, and Skype doesn't like that. So, is there any way I can make this option available, or some other way to 'simulate' upnp so Skype will play nice? I read somewhere else that "IP Passthrough" may be an option, but I'm unsure about that.
I was using my little PC laptop and it fell, and suddenly the internet doesn't work.It doesn't show me any wireless option at all (in bottom right corner. or in control panel)and in "Network Connections"there isn't the wireless option as there used to be.Now it only has 'LAN or high speed internet"I've tried looking at old threads but haven't found anything suited. Is there a way to reactivate? I've tried everything I can think of! (laptop has no CD drive)
Basically my friend has a game server with a particular IP. But lately I don't seem to be able to even 'see' that server. Pinging the IP gets a timeout. I did a tracert on the IP and from the first hop onwards it gives me 3 stars followed by a 'Request Timed Out' until the 30'th hop.
Trying to create a wi fi zone in my apartment from my Virgin cable installation. Following their instructions on how to do this I can't succeed as the "view available Wireless networks" option does not appear on Windows XP
I first noticed it in games, and decided to ping my router in CMD. I see the occasional "request timed out", and not sure how to fix it.My other computers connected to the network are working fine, and I've tried USB Wireless adapters in my laptop which work fine, which implies the problem lies with the inbuilt adapter itself.I've tried reformatting, and updating drivers, but to no avail.I thought maybe the adapter might just be faulty, but then I decided to test it on Linux. I pinged the router in the terminal and... it seemed to work fine. I thought maybe some background process in Windows might be doing something to cause the problem, so I started in safe mode (with networking)... still the problem remained.
I recently bought dell n5110. It is not giving me wireless option. I go to Network and sharing center -> set up a new connection -> connect to the internet.. and it shows me only dial up and broadband option.
I can't access the following a specific website from any computer in my house. I am able to access all other sites. I have tried Firefox, IE, Chrome. All i get is the following error: "The connection has timed out" I called my ISP this morning, and they asked me to try adding a proxy server in IE. That is, Internet Options > Connections > LAN settings > Proxy server > proxy.tpg.com.au:3128, After doing this i was able to access the site! What could this mean?
I have a problem connecting to VPS with Windows XP Remote Desktop Connection. The error I'm getting is:"Remote Desktop Disconnected - The remote connection has timed out. Please try connecting to the remote computer again."I am not behind any network, firewall, router...I tried to turn off firewall and antivirus programs to see if they are blocking it. It didn't work.I could find from Microsoft support site refer to the server side configuration. But I know problem isn't with server, because I am able to connect from another PC (notebook running windows 7 with wireless connection). It is working straightforward with default settings. Are there any settings that need to be changed in Windows XP for RDC to work?
I am able to connect to firefox internet but when I try to log in to my Yahoo Messenger or iTunes store it tells me that my internet connection timed out. I try to connect to Internet Explorer and it will not connect to the web there. I have went into the tools box in Internet Explorer and clicked on internet option and than connection and I was going to try to change the proxy server LAN and when I would go into it to change that I would be able to find the address to put in but can not figure out what the port section is. I am using a wireless connection and it shows that i have connection even when I try the troubleshooting section that checks the connection and it tells me that there is no problem with it. I also tried restarting my wireless router and than restarting my computer which did not work.
Than I tried disconnecting and reconnecting to internet and still nothing. When I would login to my Yahoo Messenger and pushed the troubleshooter bottom it says, "We are not able to make a connection to the Internet. One of the following may be true: You're not connection to the Internet. Check cables, modems, routers, etc; Your Windows Internet options including the Windows Firewall settings are incorrect.; There is a problem with your Windows network settings, for example, the DNS settings in your Internet Protocol (IP) settings are incorrect or the DNS server is specified incorrectly or is not responding.; For more information, check the Windows online help and search for terms like "DNS" or "Firewall."
