I did copy startup-config from my existing Pix515E (8.0.4) to this PIX535, I did NOT pay attention if I had the same "failed to enable checksum capability" before image upgrade or startup-config change?how I can get over with it?
I've installed version 4.8.02.0010 of the VPN client onto a Dell Latitude D820 laptop. When I attempt to connect, I get this message. There are no firewalls running (I disabled the Windows XP firewall) and I'm running under Service Pack 2 with all of the latest security patches from Microsoft.
I even tried un-installing the client and using an older version (4.8.00.0440) and it reports a similar error in the Log file.
I'd prefer to NOT have to wipe the laptop and reinstall the O/S if I don't have to. This is the only laptop that I've experienced this problem with but it's also the first Dell Latitude D820 that I've attempted to install the client on.
Is there a problem with the Dell Latitudes and the VPN Client? Is there another way around this other than a wipe and re-install?
I am working on a friends HP laptop that suddenly lost it's ability to see any networks at all. When I try to enable it in network and sharing it stays disabled. Just to be sure it wasn't hardware related I ran a ubuntu live cd and was able to connect with no problems. I tried updating the drivers, installing and reinstalling the network card with no luck. I also tried letting windows repair it but it says there may be driver problems.

I just bought TP-LINK Wireless USB Adapter (Model: TL-WN321G) and had followed all necessary procedures (both manual and automatic) to install the driver specifically in my Windows 7 (32-Bit) desktop computer but every time I installed the driver it shows that in my Network Connection there is the "Wireless Network Connection 2" - Disabled. However, when I right click into it and try to Enable, it shows that it is now Enabling.... then Enabled but after that my "Wireless Network Connection 2" still Disabled.I had already uninstalled my AVG Internet Security 2012 and disabled Windows Firewall and Run in Safe-Mode in installing the driver but still no luck it keeps showing that my "Wireless Network Connection 2" still Disabled after trying to Enable it.

Currently I have Verizon DSL and which supplied me with a Westell 7500 modem/wireless router. I am also connecting a Linksys WRT54GS (firmware Version: 7.2.08) to the Westell 7500.
When I connect via cable or wireless to Linksys WRT54GS I am not able to establish VPN connection. I get the error “Error 619: A connection to the remote computer could not be established. So the port used for this connection was closed”.
However, when I connect via cable or wireless to Westell 7500 I am able to connect to VPN.
I tried resetting the Linksys WRT54GS to factory settings and reconfigured but no success to VPN.
At work we have a Windows 2003 setup with VPN Role on it and on my laptop I am using the built in VPN connection within Windows 7.
How do I enable the wireless capability on my hp G7286US Notebook? It was working fine until last night. My LAN connection works for my desktop; however, I cannot enable the wireless connection on my laptop. My OS is Windows 7?
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo the other afternoon we had a freak power outage, my PC was on and connected to a surge protector. So once the power came back on, literally like 5 minutes later, I rebooted my PC and have had Wireless issues ever since. My PC is custom built with a Netgear WG311V3 PCI Wireless card in it. When I boot up, it tells me I am connectied to our wireless network, but no websites will load. I check for wireless networks but my PC tells me none are in range. I have had this issue before so I goto Network Connections and Disable Wireless Network Connection 2, my wireless card, and then when I goto Enable it I get this error: Connection Failed.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have two laptops which connect to the router via wireless. This router is wired to the modem. I can connect each laptop to the router then make an internet connection. This works fine. But if one laptop is connected to the internet, then the other cannot. I have to disconnect the first laptop then reconnect with the second.
I have had this scenario working in the past and can't remember what I have to do to enable both laptops to use the internet connection at the same time.
I have an Inspiron 1012 mini. A week ago, it worked fine and I was able to connect to the internet. Now I can't get it to enable a wireless connection. Using device manager, I can see that Radio is enabled. However, when I use the WLAN utility, the check box for enable/disable is unchecked and grayed out so that I cannot change it. Per suggestions from other forums, I have tried fn/F2, but nothing happens. Is this a hardware problem with my wireless card, or is there something I am missing?
View 22 Replies View RelatedI cannot enable the wireless network connection. Here's what I have: In Network Connections I have two network connections, the Local Area Connection (wired ethernet), and this works fine without a problem, and I have the Wireless Netwok Connection. The Wireless Network Connection is greyed out and says that it is "Disabled". When I right click on it and click on Enable a small window pops up and say "Enabling", then is says "Enabled", but the Wireless Network Connection is still greyed out and says "Disabled".
1. When I click on the Dell Wireless WLAN Card Utility I get the message: "There are currently no wireless adapters available and enabled. Please enable any available wireless adapters before accessing this configuration utility".
2. In the Device Manager the Dell Wireless 1701 802.11b/g/n can be found under Network adapters. There is neither a red or yellow icon next to it. When I click on properties for this I am told that this device is working properly.
My OS is windows 7 32 bit and my laptop is dell inspiron N4110.
The update "failed," due to an "unexpected error." Wireless connection is disabled, although, as you have probably noticed, I can still connect to the internet (using an ethernet cable from my router to my laptop OSX 10.6.8). Error Code 3018 is unknown to Cisco's website. Or should I just start over with the installation disk for my E4200 router?

View 2 Replies View RelatedFor quite some time now, we have been experiencing an issue with the Cisco VPN client that will make the client completely unusable. I have noticed that when a specific feature of Symantec Endpoint Protection is enabled, it will (about 25% of the time) cause the following errors to appear when attempting to connect anywhere with the Cisco VPN client. Once this error happens once, the VPN client then becomes useless.
Error #1
Reason 414: Failed to establish a TCP connection
Error #2
Reason 440: Driver Failure
Error #3
Reason 442: Failed to enable virtual adapter
It seems that fixing one error will cause the other error to come up.I have tried reinstalling the client with the same version and older versions and the issue still comes up. All users in the company are using Windows 7 64-bit with SP1 installed. The oddest thing about this is that all employees in the company have the same antivirus with the same features enabled, however, it only happens to a small percentage of employees.
Problems connecting to different services and an online game. Examples:
1.) "Connection timed out" in Teamspeak 2. (debug log not really yielding much useful information).
2.) Torchlight 2 reported "Connection failed - Firewall errors detected."
- almost all other online applications work just fine (including voice over ip and games) What I've tried (without any success):
1.) I could connect in either case using my old laptop! Thus it works on a different computer, from the same network, at the same/similar time. Thus I concluded it must be somehow related to this laptop (its a new laptop).
2.) The TS2 server & entered information is 100% working, same applies to torchlight2 - also latest updates installed and of course the game is totally legal.
3.) Windows firewall: all the mentioned programs are on the allowed list. Also check whether its correctly set to "home network". Futhermore I also tried disabling the windows firewall entirely.
4.) No other firewall program in use.
5.) Check all programs I know of which might be related to network traffic (e.g. Qualcomm Atheros Killer Network Manager - disabled it).
6.) Tried both, wireless and ethernet cable connection.
7.) I even tried running the game, torchlight 2, via Tunngle (explained in a layman's words: a program that simulates Lan over the internet).
Some Information about my system:Its a new laptop. Network card is labled as "Killer e2200 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller.Runs Windows 7 and did start out empty: i.e. I installed every single program running on the machine and as far as I know none of them should have anything to do with network. Virus scanner is the lastest version of AVG free (no firewall included).

View 4 Replies View RelatedI, like OP, use my PC to sign into Xbox LiveI've never had problems with it before, not ones that I couldn't solve, and have set it up a number of times after reformats or new installations of Windows, so I usually am able to figure out the problem on my own without necroing old threads. But this time my luck seems to have run out. All of a sudden a few days ago, my Xbox refused to sign into Xbox Live. There seems to be a problem with my Xbox recognizing my PC's internet connection, because when I do tests they never get beyond the 'Xbox 360 to Network' stage. I did the usual steps that are given in the troubleshooting section but to no avail.
I looked at my network connections in the control panel, and it seemed my Xbox connection was set up for ICS, rather than my computer. It dawned on me when I figured out that the reason the 'Sharing' tab wasn't showing up for my PC's connection (in the Properties tab) was perhaps because the other connection had it enabled. Sure enough when I disabled it for the Xbox, the Sharing tab showed up in the Properties for my PC's connection. Only, when I go to click it to enable it and press OK, it gives me a message: "An error occured while ICS was being enabled. The dependency service or group failed to start." I thought perhaps it meant my Xbox connection but that doesn't seem to be the case, as the message appears whether its turned on or off.
At this time I'm also awaiting a new video card, as my current one died on me yesterday, which was a day or two after this Xbox connection problem arose...great timing, right? I'm currently operating in safe mode with networking, and I know that certain windows operations don't work in safe mode. Perhaps this error message I'm receiving is due to me being in safe mode? I have no other options until the new card arrives, as starting Windows up normally went from being a really fubar screen to being a completely black screen upon start up. So I guess my question is...am I unable to enable ICS while in safe mode? And if so, why was I able to disable it while in safe mode for my Xbox's connection? That's really annoying.
Some of the things I've seen while looking foXbox ethernet can go bad, i.e. through static shock frying it. I've had some problems with my surge protector that are quite strange. Sometimes it will start to beep continuously really loudly until I disconnect it. And then I have to unplug everything from it, plug the protector back in, and reconnect everything, in that order otherwise it beeps at me in disgust. But there's no pattern to this. It once did it twice within a week, then the next time it did it there was about 3 weeks in between. Perhaps this is partially to blame for the video card crapping out...perhaps it did something to xbox? But one would think it would cause something like a RROD, rather than something so specific as the ethernet port.

Internet connection worked fine since then. Yesterday and from then on, Windows and modum will not recognize network adapters so not internet availability although device manager shows them working. Modum does work with my laptop so I can access internet through that.
Network and sharing shows unidentified network and limited connectivity IPv4 and 6, on IPv4 no default gateway or DNS server identified, no IPv6 gateway. Tried reinstalling modum but shows no network adapters identified.
