I have just bought a Wansview NC541W IP Camera to monitor my home while I am at work (my home was burgled recently) and I have no idea how to connect it to my broadband router wirelessly. I went onto the network settings of the Camera and set up the wireless setting to connect to my router network (typed in the SSID and wireless pass key etc) but nothings happening?!? I can connect the two devices with an Ethernet cable and have the camera working perfectly, but can't do it wirelessly!
I am using my neighbor's WiFi connection in my WiFi enabled motherboard PC with good signal strength. Now i want to connect a router to my PC so that i can easily use WiFi for my mobiles.
Well i am currently using a BSNL DNA A211-1 wifi modem-cum-router with a wireline inbetween my PC (win7 ultm) & the router, so as to connect to the internet. i use the wifi feature of my router to connect my samsung gts5570 wifi enabled phone as well as a few other wifi enabled devices, to use internet on them. now i was thinking whether i can connect my desktop pc to my mobile phone using this wifi router somehow? how can that be done since there is already 2 different network that exist between my pc & router thru wireline & my mobile & the router thru wifi, all i need is a way to sync these to networks into one, so that my pc & my mobile use internet & at the same time they connect to each other as well.
I cannot get the camera to connect to our wifi via WPA2-PSK:AES, which is what it runs. The network /SSID is visible in the setup, but it won't connect and get an ip. I see no error messages or any kind of information at all in the admin web page.I've upgraded to firmware 1.05
I have both the WRT54G and a E1000 wireless routers and this problem is occurring for both of them.I use AT&T DSL and the speeds are fine when it is :
1. Not plugged into router
2. Wireless Network Mode is disabled through the router configuration page, having all devices wired.
However when wireless network mode is enabled, speeds drop significantly, 15~17 ms ping goes to 250~800 ping, and download speeds are way lower also. When the router is reset, the regular speeds will return for maybe 30 seconds to 1 minute, then it'll drop back down. I'm positive there's no outsiders connected to my network and this problem still occurs, only when the router is giving out wireless signals. Sometimes the problem randomly goes away for a while but it will always come back. I've tried many things, firmware upgrades, factory restore, none of them seem to work, the only solution so far has been to disabling it, but I need it to be on as there are other devices in other rooms of the house that need WiFi to connect to the internet.
I seem to be struggling to connect more than 4 cameras to my (ISP-supplied) modem/router by Netgear CGD24N via WPS. I'm on my 5th camera now (already have 3x 930L and 1x 942L) but the newest 942L just won't connect to the network at the moment and there's definitely no faults here as I swapped cameras today at the local retailer (and got an A3 942L!).I've even tried connecting the camera to my wireless extender (Netgear WN3000RP) but no luck there.
So far it has only worked twice for short periods of time (enough for me to configure the cameras) but since then I can't actually get it working. I've got a couple of spare wireless routers lying around too and should be receiving a DIR-600 soon (from the Netgear promotion in Australia) which could be useful?
I recently puchased a new E4200v2 router and one of the devices that I have on my network is a Level1 WCS-2040 wireless network camera. My old router was a Netgear WPN-824. I was able to (and I'm still able to) connect the camera to the Netgear router with WPA-PSK but not to the new E4200v2. The only way for me to connect it to the new router is with WEP, which I obviously do not want.
I'm at a loss for what the problem is because the setup is easily done. I'm thinking it's an issue with the E4200v2 but I'm not sure what... hoping that the issue could be resolved in the next revision of the firmware. I've tried WPA2/WPA Mixed Mode, WPA Personal (which I understand is the same thing as WPA-PSK) and WEP. The camera supports WEP and WPA-PSK. When I have the camera configured with WPA-PSK it simply isn't connecting to the E4200v2, only the old netgear.
See screenshots below: Netgear router wireless config: Netgear router connected devices (shows laptop and wirelss camera): IP Camera config while connected to old router: IP Camera working on old network: E4200v2 wireless status: IP Camera config while connected to E4200v2 router (via wired connection, not wireless):
When the wired connection is removed from the camera and powercycled, the E4200v2 does not list the camera as a connected device. I've power cycled everything, multiple times and tried everything I know of. What could be the problem? Note that the MAC address for the camera is the same for both wired and wireless adapters. And no, Password1 is not my default password... just what I was testing with for the purpose of screenshots.
have purchased Belkin wifi usb adapter dualband N450 and downloaded the driver from included CD, my OS is windows7 starterfter I plug in the adapter, the power ON is litting and wait for a while if will flashing but not. I opened the "NETWORK AND SHARING CENTER" and click the "CHANGE ADAPTER SETTINGS", the Belkin wireless adapter is disabled and had tried enabling it but still it is disable. I uninstalled the driver and the program, I checked in the internet and downloaded the file F9L1101v1_N600.exe and installed. Checked again but still the same problem before, Disabled and tried enabling but to no success.
I'm having trouble with one of my DCS-930L cameras. I have successfully installed it and it's connected wirelessly to a Dovado router. However, after some 2 weeks the wireless connection drops and I can't connect to the camera anymore. As the camera is 350 km away I can't restart it. This happens everytime and the last time I was around the camera and indeed the camera LED was green. I restarted it by pulling the powercord and after that the camera worked for som 2-3 weeks and then the same problem again.I have 4 cameras, and it's always the same one that drops the connection and the router is only some 5 meters away from the camera. No walls between the router and the camera. I have the ability to restart the router with an sms, but that doesn't make the camera reconnect.
I have been trying to connect a camera to the wifi router at my mother's assisted living facility. The password has a special character, "!".
After hours waiting on the phone with tech support, they confirmed that only letters and numbers are supported. Guess i have to take it back.
Incidentally, the software is changing "!" to "%21", which is the escape sequence used in URL's. The camera software isn't mapping it back. Should be fixable in firmware.
I asked a question recently about accessing camera via a smartphone but I realize that's not really the correct question. The smartphone works fine locally with wifi and has a browser available.
The real question I have is what is the easiest way to access any camera via a browser from a remote location. Years ago tech friend assisted me access my DCS-910 using dyndns.org. It was free and worked great. I guess it went away when they started charging for a basic account.
Is there an easy way to access a camera without using dyndns even if it involves putting in an IP address instead of a convenient domain name? I would just like to see at least one of my cameras in a browser off-site. If I have to pay $20/year for dyndns I can but I would prefer not to if possible.
ive recently bought a tcl internet enabled tv. I have tried connecting it to the wireless network and it keeps giving me an error that the "connection failed due to timeout".
At home, I have 2 laptops and 1 smartphones, I set up a wi-fi network with WEP (WPA2) key. Since then the Windows Wireless manger is not able to connect.
If I remove the WEP key, I am able to connect.
The Internet connection is good. I am able to connect a HP, a Lenevo laptop, an iPhone with the same WEP key - but Dell does not connect.
I am running Windows XP on Latitude E6410 with Intel i5 Core.
I want to setup my IP Camera, and of course I need to do it via ethernet cable. So, when I put the IP e.g. "192.168.1.102", my Laptop doesn't even load or kept loading. This case happens when I'm using Win 7 Home Basic, but with a Win XP laptop works great.
I am unable to connect vivotek ip7137 camera with d link or netgear router I tried all my best made the connection with eithrnet cable , reset both machine set static ip of pc but nothing is happening?
My internet connection was lost and after calling Verizon, they talked me through adding a different isp address. Now my internet works, but when I went to my D-view cam (this is where the daily footage is stored for security camera DCS-930L), I can't make the connection. It says COM1 is not working. I know the camera works through the wireless router, but somehow the connection between the camera and the D-view cam doesn't.
I am in kuwait and I have a CCTV camera in Philippines. It is setup with IP 112.200.216.88:3130. I can ping it but I am unable to connect through browser. I am working behind a router. Anything I need to do on my network in Kuwait to be able to connect to it?
My Dlink DCS-930 camera won't work over 3G. It works fine on my home WiFi network. When on 3G it shows the camera, click it, tries to connect but just keep saying connection timeout.
It used to work over 3G fine, nothing has changed to my network. I've rebooted the camera and router numerous times, it has the latest firmware, but still won't work. I'm logged into my dlink account fine. I have an Apple Time Capsule.
I have a Flex 7500 with 200 1142AP's working fine in remote office and local setup. We have since purchased 3 OEAP 602's and looking to distribute to teleworkers.
I have configured the OEAP to point to the NAT'd IP of the WLC, the OEAP does connect and is listed briefly in the WLC wireless listing but I am not able to make any configuration changes, it will then dissassociate and try the join process all over again. I have attached below the OEAP 600 event log. I see that the WLC does not support data DTLS encryption and looking to make this work.
I have tried to install the DTLS license file from the Cisco website, but says license failed to install, with no other errors.

I've configured my rounter but am having a firewall issue, I think.I'm trying to connect remotely to an IP Camera.I've set the port forwarding on my router for port 8081 to forward to the IP of my camera.I've set the firewall aswell to allow traffic from the WAN to the IP of my camera.
Any way to connect a wifi usb to a wireless router for better wifi connect?? i have wifi but it only gets in the room of the house im in and want it to work though out the house not just one room
BEFSR81 v3.0.I selecting Enabled UPnP and now I cannot access the router. When I enter the default admin for the password in the Authentication Required screen. I get the following screen: 401 Authorization RequiredThis server could not verify that you are authorized to access. Either you supplied the wrong credentials(e.g., bad password), or your browser doesn't understand how to supply the credentials required.I didn't enter anything new into the username or password fields.
I have a power conncet 6224 with routing enabled with several VLANs setup.VLAN Database: 6,8,10,90-254VLAN 6 is our management vlan10 is for our core network services (DNS, Domain, Exchange etc)90-254 are isolated vlans. What I need to accomplish is to prevent vlans 90-254 from communicating with each other and only allow communication to VLAN 10 and the internet. All internet firewall work will be handled by our Sonicwall. [code]
I need to configure two voice-enabled cisco routers, each one has an analog FAX machine. The routers are connected with a serial connection. In the end, the faxes should be able to fax to each other. The fax uses RJ-11 and I've established that I will be configuring FSX ports. (These ports are used for analog devices such as telephones, modems, and fax machines). I am unable to find a single site that gives information about specifically configuring fax machines.
I have a cisco2811 router and i want to convert or make it to be a voice enabled router? it has a current image/ios of (C2800nm-adventerprisek9-m), version 12.4(5a).
I was trying to port fwd my RDP and then I ended up getting side tracted and changed my routers password [URL] it would cause my router to stop working. I know my adapter is fine, because I can connect to the internet via wired connection. My wifi DHCP is not enabled however and I have no clue on how to enable it.
Here is the settings from ipconfig/all

Ever since I bought the E4200 months ago I had no wireless network between my laptops. pc's devices. I discovered now that I do have network (everything cool) when I disable NAT. That is all nice, but I don't have internet then.
I cant get my router to "see" my ip camera. I suspect its something to do with port forwarding or fire walls, when connect directly to the router its fine but I cant get the router to pick up the wireless signal
the camera is about 30 feet from the router. Is it too far for the camera to be detected? After I mounted the camera at the front door, after connecting the camera to the electric power, I saw clearly the picture. But after I finished mounting, I could not see the picture anymore. On the computer, it was stated that the camera was offline.
Part of my house doesn't get the Wifi signal from my router. I want to setup a second WiFi router in another part of my house. I was thinking of running an ethernet cable out of the existing WiFi router through the walls to the other location and plugging it into the input on a second Wifi router. Would this work?
I have tried the signal repeater route and the signal just doesn't repeat strong enough.
