D-Link DCS-942L :: How To Setup Receiving Email Snapshots And Video Clips
Aug 19, 2012the 942L is up and running but I ain't getting no email snapshots nor video clips.I think the menu for setting up the "Video Clip" and "Snapshot" is severely lacking info for users like myself; what to type in the smtp field, the sender or recipient email fields, and especially not username and password. Do I put my email username and password there, or my MyDlink login email and password?

I recently got a new email provider with a webmail. But I can not access the email from my home network. I have tried both my computers so I suspect that it can have something to do with my router. I have also set up the new email account in Outlook and in other networks it works fine, also the webaccess works fine in other networks. It seems that the problem is only related to my home network.i have talked to my ISP provider and they say that all is opened in there network. i have tried to clone the MAC address and that did not solve my problem. I also read the one could change the MTU size from default 1500 to 1440, that did not work either.

Aug 8, 2012I have a question about NAT behavior on FWSM 4.0. The problem is email server (Company A) cannot connect to email gateway (Company B) on the outside network and it randomly happen. I got this error from server guy "Detail: xlate has blocked the connection between A’s mail gateway and B’s mail gateway". It work fine again after clear xlate on firewall. [code]
1. How FWSM create xlate table like that? I mean it look like NAT0 for 158.137.21.26 but it doesn't has any nat rule for 158.137.21.26 on firewall.
2. What does it mean "connections 24" at the first of line? In the normal time, I only see the connections is 0 like the second line of xlate
3. After clear xlate global 158.137.21.26, the first line of xlate table is gone then email server can connect each other. Does is a bug on FWSM? or This is a normal NAT behavior of FWSM.

Oct 25, 2011I have my 2Wire AT&T U-Verse router properly set up to forward the port 25565 from my machine. (Incidentally, PortForward.com gives me a blank page when I try to look up how to do this.) However, when I test the port is indeed open ( Open Port Check Tool - Test Port Forwarding on Your Router ), it returns as closed. Yes, I'm running the server software while I run the test. I only have the Windows Firewall, but I ran attempts while the firewall was completely disabled as well as with just the appropriate programs allowed.

I mean if I check with nmap, I receive a packet with RST flag on, but I'll receive similar packets for closed ports as well. Dec 4, 2012I have a Netgear wnr2000v3 Router connected to my Motorola Surfboard Gateway.I have a freePBX Server (virtual running off of VMware Workstation 8) that needs ports 10001-20000 and 5060 forwarded to the server at 192.168.1.110
I added the portforwarding as in this photo:
When I use a port tester it still says "Port 5060 is closed"I have also turned off Windows Firewall. What else could be blocking these ports?

Dec 1, 2011I have a problem trying to forward ports needed for steam: my connection to internet looks like this Cisco epc3212 cable modem -> netgear wnr3500v2 ->my pc, all via ethernet cable I set up static ip for my pc and forwarded ports in router but after checking results on web port scanners it only changed from timed out to closed. I have no firewalls, neither on my pc or router, i called my isp and they told me they don't block any ports. I have windows 7. After trying dmz all my ports remain closed except for 3389 which is remote access for windows. I.ve been working on this for past few hours and i'm loosing my mind .

Now I'm not so sure.So far I was unable to install the router on the "home" PC because the installation CD seems to assume that the router will be used for sharing an internet connection and does not seem to offer an installation option without a standalone modem. Jan 9, 2011I have a Dell Studio 1537 running on Windows Vista? my computer stopped being able to connect to the internet a few days ago and a "Dell Wireless WLAN Controller closed and stopped working" (or something along those lines) box would keep on popping up. I did some reading around on the internet and decided that maybe I needed to update the "drivers" for it so I went to the Dell website and downloaded the most recent version for my Dell Wireless 1510 WLAN mini card...that didn't seem to work any after I installed it. So I went ahead and uninstalled it (I assume I must have uninstalled something I shouldn't have) and now I'm stuck at the same problem. I can't connect to the internet!In Network Connections, it continually says that "Windows cannot find any networks". In Device Manager, under Network Adapters, it doesn't list the card there, although it lists "Broadcom Netlink (TM) Gigabit Ethernet". And from some suggestions I found on the net, I tried ipconfig/all in the comand promt and it says "media disconnected".

I have entered the following lines static (inside,outside) tcp interface 9002 10.0.3.230 9002 netmask 255.255.255.255 access-list outside_access_in extended permit tcp any interface outside eq 9002.I have done this before with zero issues. The other two ports are open, however, port 9002 will not be visable from the outside. The ASA says it is open, but if I go to a site like canyouseeme, it shows closed. I cannot connect to the application either.

Issue: Whenever I close my lid, my wireless connectivity drops by around 80+%. When using speedtest.net, I normarlly download at 5 megabits/s and upload at 1, but with my lid closed, I download at less then 0.4 and upload surprisingly at 0.8. My downloads and torrents basically grind to a halt, multiplayer gaming becomes difficult and websites/youtube/videos take much longer to load. I can check all these figures as I'm using an external monitor.I have tried a lot of things to improve connectivity including setting everything to high performance, disabling power saving modes, setting roaming to aggressive/high and updating drivers.

Feb 6, 2010I regularly get this message (but not everytime) when I start up Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit.
"Dell Wireless WLAN Card Wireless Network Controller stopped working and was closed.a problem caused the application to stop working correctly. Windows will notify you if a solution is available."
Then I get this following message:"Solution Found: Address a problem with your WLAN card.Your WLAN card has stopped working properly. This is a network adapter that allows your computer to connect to a wireless network. To find out if an updated version of your WLAN card is available, contact your device or computer manufacturer."The strange thing is even though I get this message I am still able to connect to the internet via a wireless network. So there is no problem as such it is just annoying to keep getting this message when Windows starts up.I have checked on the DELL Support website and I do have the most up-to-date driver already (Or I think I do).

Receiving Way Too Many Bytes?
Feb 12, 2011For the last 3 weeks or so (right around the time I upgraded to IE8), my computer has been receiving a ridiculous number of bytes compared to what it sends.Within 5-10 minutes of logging on (I still use dialup), a check on the status shows around 100,000 bytes sent and over 2,000,000 received.I've been online for around 40 minutes, and it currently shows 650,000 sent (23% compression rate) and over 5,000,000 received (4% compression rate).Of course, the browser starts lagging and freezing after a while, which I assume is from the large number of bytes being received.
At the same time, there's a noticeable lag when I try to run programs, even when offline. For example,I click on my ISP connection and nothing happens for 5-6 seconds, then the dialog box appears. This is something that's never happened before. I'm running XP Home and no one else has access to my computer.I'm using the standard Windows firewall.I've run my AV and spyware programs multiple times (nothing found), cleaned my temporary files and cookies, even adjusted the FIFO buffers (the last thing I tried was turning the buffers off). I've been running Disk Cleanup everyday (which lags and runs slower than ever before), but it doesn't solve anything.I don't know how to adjust the compression rate for bytes received to see if that works.
Sending But Not Receiving Packets?
Jun 26, 2011One Day the internet is fine the next day The Internet Stopped working. The problem is my pc is sending packets but not receiving any i though it was a bug or something so i restarted my pc after i restarted my pc the internet was working fine until a couple of minutes passed it stopped receiving packets again.i tried resetting the modem but nothing worked.I tried winsock fix or resetting TCP/IP and stuff but nothing workscause its starting to frustrate me.

Aug 7, 2012I have a home network that does not connect to the internet, but which I use to play games on, or did before this issue happened by.For years my PC's and friends ones had been able to connect into the network with little or no problems, but a few months ago my tower PC just stopped picking anybody or anything up on the network and I have tried tons of different resolutions to solve this.Anyway, the other day I bought a new HD and installed XP SP3 again on it, and for about fifteen minutes I could connect to my Vista Laptop and share files and play games, then it stopped.Next day the same again and off and on till now when its been down for the last week.I have also now bought a new network card - no difference - and disabled the on board network card through the BIOS - no difference.I have done a Winsock repair, replaced automatic IP addresses with manual ones, and countless other remedies which have not solved diddly.
