I cant log in to a computer that is locked, I got the error message:
"The connection closed unexpectedly Do you wish to attempt to reconnect at <IP address>?"
Need confirmation that you can't connect to a locked machine?
I was trying few days ago a tutorial of SSH tunneling, but I got an error,"server unexpectedly closed network connection", although I did everything like in the video tutorial and port 433 was not closed.

Since switching over, when I periodically look at email on Live Mail, I frequently get a "Windows Live Mail" message saying "Your server unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity." I have never received this message from either one of the previous routers - LinkSys, Netgear.

We have gotten a tv with wireless capability.I do not remember the WEP key.I currently have my laptop pc and a HP printer working with my D Link router. I have gotten as far at the set up page for the router and am wondering if I change the WEP key, will it automatically update the existing devices (my laptop and printer) or will they be locked out? Can I use the same code for all 4 WEp keys ?

After that I had problems connecting to the internet with one of my wired connection computers (Windows XP). Connection has a Limited or no Connection status and the problem seems to be that the network doesn't assign a new ip adress.

I am running Windows Vista Business SP2 and I have been having problems lately with my internet connection. I am on a DSL connection and my computer keeps on dropping the connection like every 15-20min in order to get my connection back I have to disable and then reenable the network connection, but the weird thing is that I don't get internet connection, but I can still send and recieve IM's and Mail when my internet goes down. It is not my ISP that is wrong , but my computer, because I have a windows xp and it does the same thing and I also have a windows 7 PC and that one does not lose connection when my other ones do. On my Windows XP all what I have to do so it gets connection again is click on the connection and then click repair and I get internet again, but Windows Vista does not have this option so I have to disable and reenable my connection

View 1 Replies View RelatedWe have Linkline ADSL that was set up by them with a Netopia 2241N-006 modem and a Cisco 33674 wired router. We got a Cisco E2000 wireless router to replace the wired one. It sets up perfectly, in that I can see and connect to the wireless router just fine, but it has no Internet connection. Also, when we plug the cord straight from the modem into the computer (as was suggested by someone) it has no Internet connection, so it seems we need the Netopia modem for it work.I have connected to Cisco live chat three different times to try and find out how to make this work, and each time after making me give them all the information they insisted the uninstalling/reinstalling Cisco connect and then going through set up again it would work. On the second and third chats I even gave them the reference numbers for the previous chats so theiy could see that is what was already done, to no avail. Apparently that is the only solution they know.Then I called Cisco support on the phone (twice). The first time they insisted I hang up and I repeat the same procedure from the chats, even though I explained I had now done it three times and gave them the chat reference numbers. They said if I would not do that. The second time I called they told me that was not something they supported - using their router with an adsl modem - even though their instructions do cover it.
using the two routers together since I cannot get the wireless one to work alone. I went and bought a crossover cable, hooked the two routers LAN port to LAN port, changed the router's IP address to just outside the main router's range and disabled DHCP. This did not change anything, so I tried the one other idea I found online which was to assign the router a static IP address in the same range that the rest of the network is using, hook the two routers LAN port to LAN port with the crossover cable, and disable the DHCP. This did not work either.
i deleted my xbox 360 local area connection from my computer i have windows 7. how do i get my xbox 360 back on my computer and share a connection with it cuz befor when i tryed to share it. it said......(Internet connection sharing cannot be enabled. A LAN connection is already configured with the IP address that is required for automatic IP addressing.)

Currently there's two ISP connections with their own proxy server. I want a user to be fully redirected to one of the ISPs based on who they are. I was hoping via IE proxy settings, this can be accomplished, but it looks like the primary ISP connection, is still getting most of the connections/routing.

I have entered the following lines static (inside,outside) tcp interface 9002 10.0.3.230 9002 netmask 255.255.255.255 access-list outside_access_in extended permit tcp any interface outside eq 9002.I have done this before with zero issues. The other two ports are open, however, port 9002 will not be visable from the outside. The ASA says it is open, but if I go to a site like canyouseeme, it shows closed. I cannot connect to the application either.

The Netbook is connected to my wireless network, but will not connect to the internet. It keeps asking me to transfer information, via thumb drive, from a wireless access point, but my router is my wireless connector and it doesn't have a USB port to plug in a thumb drive. (Incidentally, PortForward.com gives me a blank page when I try to look up how to do this.) However, when I test the port is indeed open ( Open Port Check Tool - Test Port Forwarding on Your Router ), it returns as closed. Yes, I'm running the server software while I run the test. I only have the Windows Firewall, but I ran attempts while the firewall was completely disabled as well as with just the appropriate programs allowed.
