Set Modem / Router To Auto-switch Off At Particular Time?

I usually put some stuff up for downloading and go to sleep. Now I setup my computer to auto-shutdown at a particular time via cmd, but I want o know whether it is possible for me to put some time settings in my modem+router so that it switches off at a particular time or something like that.Then when I get up next morning, start using it again. I don't want to keep my router on after it's not needed. Also I don't wanna keep it vulnerable after it's not needed, even though I have set it up quite securely. ( WPA2 PSK, and MAC filtering)

I'm using the TL-MR3220 hardware version 2.0. Firmware version 3.13.12 Build 120703 Rel.58323n. I'm using D-Link DWM-156 3.75G HSUPA USB Adapter.The problem I'm encountering is the router does not auto detect the 3G USB adapter when I power up the router. The router will detect the 3G adapter only when I plug out and plug in the 3G USB adapter. I used to have the same router but version 1.2. Version 1.2 does not have this problem.
we have the issue that a new WLC 5508 has been installed in a new location. Unfortunaltelly we have no hands-on suopport on-site, so just remote connection.Now we figured that the service-port and management interfaces have to be reconfigured. In case we can not reach the WLC with the new configured interfaces it would be useful if the WLC reboots automatically after time x to reload the previouse working configuration.So the question is, is there a functionality to create a script which reboots the WLC automatically after time x?
I set up a DIR-655 router for a friend 4 years ago and it's worked reliably with all of their equipment since. They have wireless printers, iMacs, pc laptops and iPhone 4S's, all connecting without any problems. Recently, they got an iPhone5 and it will not connect to their home wireless automatically, they have to re-enter the password each time. They've tested their iPhone 5 on other networks and they do not have to re-enter the password. Apple and ATT are blaming the router. I do not live near them and I'm going to have to facilitate them remotely. At this point, I believe their router is configured with WPA2, but I can't be sure. Which configuration will work with the iPhone 5, as well as their other, older, devices that have worked for 4 years
We have a WLC 4402 controlling 40+ LWAPs. Is there a way to keep Tx power level assignment dynamic, but set the time of day it does it? I'd like to minimize user impact. (Firmware v. is 7.0.116.0)
I have a smc wireless cable modem gateway router lease is set to expire every 7 days does it matter if its like more often, is this good enough, i was told every day might be better as i get better connection.
Lately I've been experiencing connection problems between my router and cable modem. Every night after 11:00 PM EST, my Internet connection sporadically goes out. I called my ISP who said there was nothing wrong on their end. Plugging directly into my modem allows me to access the Internet. When I wake up in the morning, the connection is back until 11 or later again. I ran WireShark but I'm not sure what to be looking for. There are a lot of random things from the LLMNR protocol like standard query A zmtvrjaql.

The TL-MR3220 takes a long time to identify the 3g modem and sometimes it will not identify it at all and says "unplugged". Sometimes "unplugged" suddenly apears after the modem has been identified and was working properly.Is this the normal behavior of this device ? Why ? What can be done ? I'm Using Alcatel X500D 3g modem.
I have a Netgear N150 Wireless ADSL2+ Modem Router(DGN1000) which i need to connect for wireless access..My internet connection is a wireless one(antenna connected on roof) connection available to only one computer with an RJ45 LAN.Is it possible for me to connect the router to this LAN cable and get internet on more than one computer at a time?? my timer warner router connect to a swith (linksys), and the swith connect to 2 computer. When i restart one of the computer, the internet don't work, but the networking is working, i need to reset the modem by unplug and unplug the line of one computer (so only one computer is hook up to swith and then to the router).... after i got the internet connection from that computer, then i can hook up another computer successfully. But after I reboot one computer, the internet connection won't work again
I want my core switch auto failover to other route if the primary route is link down it will go to the secondary route

We are facing cold start issue on 4500 series switch. The switch is restarting automatically almost weekly twice or thrice.As per show tech. output , there is "cold start log".Please find the attached logs for your reference.After time change , auto restart happening & am not found any log for power failure also.
I have configured a SVI in my 4500 ( Sup 7-E 10GE,,,,,,and,,,,,cat4500e-universalk9.SPA.03.02.00.SG.150-2.SG.bin) switch and it is showing Down Down, because there were no active switch port in the vlan, I added one switch port to this vlan but this port also in the down state, so i added the SWITCH PORT AUTO STATE EXCLUDE command under this port, even after this also the SVI never came up, So i added one systen to the port so both the switch port and the SVI came up...So why SWITCH PORT AUTO STATE EXCLUDE command have no effect in this model of the switch..

I have a question regarding the network setup. I have 3 pieces of network hardware and a fast dsl connection. The hardware is:
- DSL Modem from my provider with static IP connection (CISCO - don't know the symbol) - DSL Router (edimax ar-7084a) - Switch (Hewlett-Packard JD871A)
Now the task is to create a LAN network so all my computers can talk together and have a internet connection shared between them.When I connect Modem to Router and then 4 CPUs to router, it is working fine. The problem is that the router has only 4 ports and that it is 100Mbit slow. I would like to use the HP switch for the LAN setup (1Gbit) and then connect the switch to router and router to modem. But it doesn't work I cannot establish internet connection this way. I'm setting all the settings in my router but it doesn't work as it was in simple setup modem->router->cpu. when I add switch to this, the setup is going berserk.Problem is that I would like to create a LAN only between computers using switch. I have other computers that I want to conect to the router directly and don't see the computers using switch.
My laptop connected to the LAN for internal access, the LAN is limited access ( limited permission for internet connection), so I bought USB Modem. But when i connect to USB modem I lose my internal connection. ( I want to use LAN for internal access and USB Modem for Internet access at the same time)
I have a network set up currently with a cable modem that goes into a router, the router then goes to a 16 port switch and the switch goes to computers, printers, and my server. I am trying to figure out how to make the modem plug into the switch instead of the router. I'm guessing my problem lies with the default gateway since that is the router. Any suggestions on this? Or how is the best way to set this up? I have 2 NICs on my server and the server has windows 2008 r2.
I have ATT u-verse currently and it connected to a router but I am going to need several more gigabit ports so I wanted to get an 8 port gigabit switch. I would plan on running a cable from my U-Verse modem to my router then to my switch giving me wireless and 8 gigabit ports. Would that work? I've never done this before so I wasn't sure if I was missing something or not.
We setup a home network in our new house but we have a problem with limited connectivity in specific configuration.
There is few situations to describe the problem :
1. If I connect my computer directly to the modem I can access to the internet. (modem --> computer = internet OK)
2. If i connect the ethernet cable (in the wall) between my modem and RJ45 jack in the living room and connect my computer directly to the RJ45 I can access to the internet. (modem --> cat6 cable in the wall --> computer = internet ok)
3. If I connect my router directly (without the cat6 cable in the wall) to the modem and my computer to the the router I can access to the internet. (modem --> router --> computer = internet ok)
4. If i connect the ethernet cable (in the wall) between my modem and RJ45 jack in the living room and connect to router to the RJ45 and my computer to the router I CANNOT access to the internet. (modem --> cat6 cable in the wall --> router --> computer = internet access problem)
5. If i connect the ethernet cable (in the wall) between my modem and RJ45 jack in the living room and connect to a swith to the RJ45 and my computer to the switch I can access to the internet. (modem --> cat6 cable in the wall --> switch --> computer = internet OK)
With those tests I am not able to figured out what is the problem... router is working in situation #3. cable in the wall is ok in situations #2 and 5. How to make my router working when connected to the RJ45 jack in the living room.
There is my component : Router --> D-Link WBR-2310 Switch --> Trendnet TE100-S5 Modem --> Thomson DCM475 Cable in the wall --> Homemade with 568A standard in both end.
I've a Shiro DSL805E Modem and to connect to multiple computers, I connected an Encore 5 Port Switch. Now I got laptop and thought of getting a wireless network, so I bought TP-Link TL-MR3420 Wireless Router and connected it to the one of the wires from the Encore Switch. But I'm unable to access the internet through TP-Link Router but the internet works fine for the computers which are directly connected to switch. how to do ip settings for TP-Link Router. But when I connect router directly to modem by bypassing switch, it works fine but not via switch. I have some restrictions due to which I have to strictly following this sort of connection: Modem -Switch - Router
if I am XP and online, if I restart into Win7, I have to power cycle my modem before I can go online. If I then restart any number of times into Win7, there is no connections problem. If I then restart into XP, then I have to power cycle the modem again. If I then restart any number of times into XP, then there is no problem. The current setup is as follows: Virginmedia Superhub in modem mode connected to one Cisco C2950 on port fa 0/23. The 2950 is connected to a Cisco C3550 over fa 0/24 via normal Cat 5e.Port fa 0/23 on the 3550 have a Astaro/Sophos UTM connected to it that acts as a Firewall/Wireless controller etc. The hitch, or maybe one of them, is that the 3550 and the UTM is on another floor from the 2950 and cannot be moved. The Virginmedia superhub can't be moved to the other floor either due to limitations in the cabling.What I'd like to achieve is for the UTM to pick up the public IP from the Virginmedia cable modem whilst no other devices on the Lan should be able to connect to the cable modem. All inbound/outbound internet traffic should go through the UTM for security reasons. The UTM have a number of available nic's that can be set to dhcp, static etc. I already have a number of VLANS on the router/switch and have half a suspicion that using another VLAN for this purpose might be the way forward but I'm not sure..
I have WRT54G2 router. All settings are more-less default and the behavior is following.You start up the router. If you do not connect wireless device within 10 minutes, then you have to restart the router.You have assigned IP via wifi, and when you connect cable device to the router, the wifi PCs are disconnected.
this router of my girlfriends only works when iplug the dsl modem into the output ports what could possibly cause this. would a firmware upgrade straighten it out...
I currently have a problem where I have to constantly reboot my ASA whenever my cable modem reboots. The ISP (Pen Tele Data) is setup so that my ASA has to obtain its' static IP using dhcp (ip address dhcp setroute) on the outside interface. Now, I also have another location with a cable connection (Comcast) that does NOT experience the same problem. However, the difference is this ISP allows me to assign my static IP directly on my outside interface. What can I do so that I don't have to reboot my first ASA everytime modem reboots.
Ciso 1941 router frozen once a day, sometimes after 2 to 7 days. When the router frozen, no internet connection and cannot login/ping ethernet ports. I can login to console port and copy the error messages below. Reload the router and it will return back to normal operation. Re-installed IOS but still the same.

So I just got hooked up to the internet via qwest the other day with my room mate. We have a wireless modem (PK5000) and he's using the AE2500 usb adapter to get online. Now, he can get online, but if he ever turns off or sleeps his computer, he can't connect when he turns it back on. His computer can see the network, full signal, but when he tries to connect it says cannot connect and under troubleshoot options suggests we should move his computer closer to the modem, but its only about 20 feet away and shows full signal. To get it to work, we need to go into the modem config and reset the wireless options. No changes are made, just scroll to the bottom and click apply, and presto change he can connect with no problems.He's running windows 7 home edition 64 bit. The modem's security is WPA/WPA2.
some of my switches (3750s) are on the right time and some are not. i have them all pointed to the same DC for NTP and they all say they are synchronized. is it possible to have the switches pole the DC for the right time and update?
I've bought a "WAG160N v1.0 Annex A" almost 2 years ago. I never used it's wireless feature untill we moved our house. Now it's like 4 month I'm using its wifi feature and I've got to admit I'm really frustrated by its functionality!
For months the modem just dropped wireless connection constantly in various time periods. Somtimes it went like 2 days without any problem but some other times I had to change channel every 15 minutes for it to get back working. And yes it didn't get fix until I changed the channel, otherwise clients had to wait several hours for a 50/50 chance of reconnection. Now It's two days the changing channel trick no longer works. I tried all channels and even put my notebook next to the modem but no luck. The notebook sometimes connnects to the access point but disconnects after a few seconds. Somtimes it doesnt even detect the SSID of my WAG160N modem. Some friends suggested that the wireless hardware of my modem is broken and no longer works but I'm eager to know if it is broken why is it still broadcasting and sending signal.
I've tried everything from upgrading and downgrading firmware to turning on and off the modem several times and changes modem position. And even tried the G-only 20MHz mode.We are at a very crowdy place. Using inSSIDer I could pick about 15 other access points.
