Oct 3, 2012I have had an Ipad for 2 months that has until today connected with my network fine. Now I can't get a connection but my laptop will connect fine.

Cisco Wireless :: 5508 / IPad - Unable To Connect To Corp
Sep 4, 2011We have two SSID's Guest and Corp. We are using 5508 controllers.
The problem is that if an iPad user is connected to Guest SSID and then try to connect to Corp then it fails saying "Unable to connect to Corp". After 10-15 retires the same iPad connects successfully. The problem doesn't happen on windows PC. I have attached debug for one of the clients.

Apr 16, 2013I have an iPad 4 (6.1.3) that won't connect to our Cisco 1142 APs. Full Cisco network; 3560 POE switches on edge and Cisco 6509 at the core.At first we looked at it as a wireless issue. No settings changes on the APs would allow the iPad connect. About 125 other iPads of various models worked fine. Took the offending iPad to McDonalds and it connects fine. Took the offending iPad to another school in our District and it connected and worked fine. Went back to the home school, still won't connect. Contacted Apple since iPad was under warranty, sent it to them and they ran diagnostics and it is fine.Is there anyway that the core switch is blocking the iPad client?

Jan 31, 2012My use case is very simple I want to connect iPhone/iPad using pptp to my home network. I purchased the 180W and looks like I am not able to connect mobile devices to it. My Setup is simple I have ST536v6 (firmware 7.4.4) modem in bridge mode and Cisco RV 180W connect to my ISP using Ppoe. I followed the Admin guide and created the pptp user. If I connect from internal network it connects but when I try to connect the device from WAN it just does not work.

May 19, 2012I've recently reinstalled a fresh windows xp operating system onto an old laptop. I've been through some trouble getting the drivers installed, but now I've finally completed that.[URL] I cannot connect to my home's WEP secured wireless network to which I have the password. After I followed the steps detailed in the link, instead of saying "detecting network type," the loading bar says "waiting for the network..." and after about 30 seconds, it disappears and nothing happens.I can connect to my router by directly connecting it with an Ethernet cord without a problem. And I know that the laptop is capable of connecting to a wireless network. I was able to connect to a nearby neighbors unsecured wifi, however it was with a very slow connection due to the distance and weak signal. It will just not connect to my own.

The router can take upto 4 laptops and this one will be the third so itis not a question of to many.All the other laptops can conect to the router when the pass key is put in but this computer will not. I don't know why psp doesn't show the 10 digit key. Try changing some advanced wireless settings on the router.Connect the computer to the router with the Ethernet cable. Open the setup page of the router.Click on wireless tab and set the configuration view to manual. Change the wireless channel to 11. Save the settings.Go to wireless tab and click on Advanced wireless settings.Change Beacon interval to 75, RTS threshold to 2307 and fragmentation threshold to 2306. Save the settings.Try to connect to the wireless network again and see if that works.

Cisco Routers :: Unable To Establish VPN Between RV180W And IPad Via PPTP
Mar 8, 2013I have tried to make a VPN connection between RV180W and iPad with PPTP. I have enabled the server, set the address range, added and user and enabled it.
I entered the same information into iPad but when I try to start the VPN, iPad just tried to make connection and finally fails with an error stating that PPP server cannot be reached.
I think the devices are able to make some kind of connection as if I change the gateway IP address incorrect, I get a different kind of error message. I also tried to reboot the router...
Laptop Finds Wireless Network But Is Unable To Connect
Nov 28, 2011I stumbled upon a problem which i cannot resolve, the situation is as folows:
A router (Netgear wgt624v3) is connected to the internet. My smartphone and every other wireless device I tested is able to connect to it but not my laptop. My laptop is able to connect to any other wireless network. I can however get acces to the web using an ethernet cable plugged into the router.
I already installed the newest driver for my wireless network card (Atheros AR5B93 Wireless Network Adapter) and I already upgraded the router to the newest firmware. I also disabled every security including the built in firewall. The strangest thing is that I can actually find the SSID of the network, I just cannot connect to it.
FYI: I use windows 7 64bit, laptop type is Packard Bell LM86
