Jun 30, 2011I have a Dell Inspiron 14R running Windows 7 64 bit. I have had my PC from this past November; about 7 months.
I was using my PC, and suddenly, I started to experience wireless problems. I was unable to get onto the internet. Other devices on my wireless network are able to log on to our network, although that is irrelevant because my radio wasn't picking up anything at all, when it always had from that same location. The connection worked fine using an ethernet cable. After the problem occurred, my Targus Bluetooth mouse also stopped working. This is what I have tried:
Going into Network and Sharing Center, disabling my network adapter, and then enabling it again. This usually does the trick. After doing it over 5 times, it never worked.
Doing a simple system restore. I attempted restoring 3 different times to an update within the last week, each of which failed (probably another issue altogether).
Re-installing my WLAN CARD Driver, and then restarting. This didn't solve the problem. Checking the Device Manager. It reported that the wireless card was running properly.Using the DW WLAN CARD Utility. It says under the Link Status tab, after Connection Status, Radio Disabled. I tried right-clicking the icon in my Notification Area, and then clicking Enable Radio. It then shows an alert saying "The WLAN card is still disabled. Use the wireless switch or hotkey to enable it." Pressing Fn + F2, which is also supposed to enable the radio, did nothing, with no action or sign whatsoever from Windows. I also tried running tests under the Diagnostics tab. All hardware tests passed, with the Connection test giving me this alert again: "The WLAN card is still disabled. Use the wireless switch or hotkey to enable it," and then failing. The same thing happened when running the CCX Client diagnostics.

Mar 14, 2011I am having a HP Laptop with Windows Vista 64 bit OS. Since today I am having problem with my wireless network adapter card. It is remaining disabled and not getting enabled. I uninstalled the driver as well as disable the card but it is not working. The problem is Quick launch button on HP laptop for wireless card is showing as enabled but my network center shows it as disabled.

My wireless network is working because my phone sees it and two other networks in the neighborhood. I couldn't find the Dell Wireless WLAN Utility. I also tried my iPhone hotspot. Laptop did not detect it either.

Apr 9, 2013I purchased a Linksys EA3500 about two months ago, brought it home and set it up with my DSL provider and everything was great, until sometime last week, and since then my download speeds have just plummeted to basically nothing. I did some troubleshooting but I cannot seem to find what the issue is. I have checked all the cables etc, and I know that it is definitely something with the router itself..My current Speedtest.net speeds are as follows (I am paying for a 5mb connection) with the EA3500.Ping of 15ms Download speed of .67mbps, Upload speed of .60mbps.When I remove the router and hook straight to the DSL modem I get the following results.Pink of 12ms Download speed of 4.89mbps, Upload speed of .60mbps
- I have tried to reset the router both by holding the reset button and through the configuration application.
- I have enabled and disabled wireless to see if that was slowing things down
- I have plugged in my old WRT54G and I get the 12ms, 4.89mbps,.60mbps results on it (so I know its the EA3500)
- I tried putting the computer in the DMZ
- I have changed the ports that the computer is plugged into
- I have disabled and enabled IPV6 on both router and network card
- Firmware version - 1.1.38.134141

Mar 28, 2011About 5 days ago the computer crashed. I was able to reload Windows XP and load all the drivers and hardware. The only problem is, now the WLAN is saying that it is disabled and I am unable to enable it. The stupid thing about this is, when the computer crashed, the next day i was able to get on. Feb 16, 2013I have a westell DSL modem/router supplied by Frontier. It connects only to the telephone line and via cat5 to my main router, a cisco EA6500. Everything seems to be working fine, I just would like to understand a few things.I disabled wireless radio on the westell, enabled it on the cisco, so I have just one WIFI network active.I know I am not supposed to have two DHCP servers active, but I did not know how else to be sure the CISCO would get a good address, so I left DHCP active on the WESTELL, and also enabled it on the CISCO to provide service for the rest of the net.The WESTELL admin interface is at 192.168.1.1, and assigns addresses in this range.According to the WESTELL, the CISCO is at 192.168.1.27, which I assume was assigned by DHCP.The CISCO has an admin interface at 10.144.224.224, and assigns addresses in this range to all the other devices on my net.As I say, everything works.I can access both router admin pages with a browser on my main 10.144.224 network, and can ping both.But I don't understand why it works.What rules allow me to talk to the WESTELL admin page from the CISCO private network, but do NOT propagate the DHCP access which is at the exact same IP address.
It is great that it works. But should I really have disabled DHCP on the WESTELL and assigned a static address to the CISCO? Or is this situation actually provided for in the rules, not just a lucky accident that it works?Why does the scanner say that the CISCO DHCP is "Unknown" rather than Authorized or Unauthorized? Is there something I can or should do to get it to be "Authorized"? I can ping 192.168.1.1, but not the 192.168.1.27 (times out), and yet when I ping a non-existent 192.169.1.3 I get "Reply from 192.168.1.27: Destination host unreachable".

Feb 22, 2012LAN connection gets disabled by itself on idle. Sometimes BSODs.A few days ago I tried connecting a MBlaze modem to my laptop (Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit) to access internet. But it resulted in instant BSOD everytime.I deleted the modem software after that & didn't try to connect it again.But now, whenever I connect using my LAN broadband, connection works fine as long as I am continuously browsing something. But as soon as I stop browsing and it goes in idle mode in about 10-15 minutes, the connection gets disconnected. In the adapter properties, it shows that the driver is working properly. If I try to disable or uninstall it it doesn't give a response. The only solution to this is a forced shutdown & restart, after which it works fine untill not idle. I am not able to download anything because of this.I tried many things like reinstalling the network adapter driver, unchecking the power management feature, resetting the connection, etc. but nothing is working.

Jan 16, 2013We have a PBR configured on a 2911 router (15.1-4.M2). The PBR is being used to send specific traffic across a S2S VPN instead of an MPLS connection. If ip cef is enabled, the router sends the traffic across the MPLS. If ip cef is disabled, the traffic goes across the S2S VPN. I checked to see if there were any bugs in the code they are running about this and nothing came up. It almost like CEF enabled PBR isn't working on this device, even though it should be enabled by default when ip cef is turned on.
