I have a laptop running Windows 7 and it is on a wireless network.The trouble I am having is, the Administrator account can get on the internet with no problems, however, another user cant.It was originally just a "User" account, however, I changed it to Administrator to see if that would resolve the problem. it didn't.

For some time, I cannot access some websites. It gives me a 401 the web site is blocked by the administrator. I use a d-link router and my brother is the administrator. He told me he hasn't blocked anything. We tried to reset the router but it still gives me the 401 problem.I think it isn't a router problem. I have tried using my laptop and tried to access some sites. It still gives me the error so i dont think it's a computer related problem. I have tried to ping it. It still doesn't work. I have also tried to erase all the cookies and cache. The problem is still there. How can I fix this? My operating system is Windows XP Professional version 2002 service pack 2.

I accessed Computer - System Properties - Clicked the "Change" button for "To rename this computer, click Change" and selected the "Workgroup" as opposed to the "Domain" option. When I restarted the computer the computer will not allow me to enter the administrator password to allow me access the computer.

View 7 Replies View RelatedHave set up a pair of ACS 5.3 servers and have set up device administration authentication be passed through to an RSA server via RADIUS. All works great.
What we want to do is go a step further and set the system up so that ACS Administrators also have to authenticate to the ACS system by RSA via RADIUS (the same as the Device Authentication we've set up) for ACS administration tasks.
Looking at the options available in the ACS Administration setup (administrator accounts etc) there doesn't seem to be an option to authenticate via another method apart from a local administrator account on the ACS.
Is it possible to do this?
How is-it possible to do a recovery password for sysadmin on ADE-OS ?We're using LMS 4.2.1 and my customer doesn't remember the username and password created during installation.We have the admin user for the https connection.

1st PC is Mike-Laptoppc is on a Wireless connection to an ADSL+2 router/modem.
2nd PC is a Desktop Alexs-PC connected via cable to the same router/modem
I can share all the shared folders from the Desktop to the Laptop, but I can only share Media streaming on the Desktop from the Laptop, so I know there is a connection between the two computers. I have now turned off Media streaming to concentrate on just folder sharing.Whenever I try to access the Laptop from the Desktop I get an " Access Denied you do not have permission contact your administrator " box on the desktop.
I just just purchased a CSACSE-1113-K9 and I need to wipe the Administrator password. I am also not sure what the default login credentials even are. There doesn't seem to be much out there for this device or maybe I'm just looking in the wrong place?

My router is really version 5.1 but I read on this forum that this router works with version 5 so I downloaded it and installed it.

And I can't do anything at all. Is there a fix for this? Is there an actual version 5.1 firmware? Or must I switch to a different, proper router?
We have below queries regarding new version of ACS 5.3.
a) Is it possible to view real time logs for AAA clients and for ACS administrator?
b) Is it possible to track each and every change record for ACS Administrators and sessions in ACS . Ex addition and deletion of commands in command sets. As of now, we are able to see that config has changed by ACS admin but not able to see which commands are changed (Added or Removed)
c) As per user guide of ACS 5.3, we have an option for creating customized reports but unfortunately we are not able to see same option in ACS 5.3 GUI. Need confirmation on the same.
d) Is it possible to do configuration changes for ACS via Command line.

View 1 Replies View Related2 days ago, my laptop was connected to my router and working fine. But it then randomly disconnected and haven't been able to connect back since. I am using an ethernet cable to access the internet, and have tried many ways to try and resolve the issue but nothing is working.
I have a Dell L501x (Win 7 64-bit) with the Intel Centrino 1000 BGN wifi card. I have restarted the router and modem and disconnected all devices and tried reconnecting, but to no avail. I have tried updating the drivers, system restoring and using safe mode (with network) but nothing works. The modem and router are working fine as other devices connect and access the internet, it is just my laptop that cannot.
I am sure it is not a hardware issue as the card detects all the surrounding networks. The troubleshooter only says "An administrator profile failed to obtain an IP address from the DHCP server.
i have a dsl modem tht is also wi-fi and has multiple ports to connect to internet. I want to be able to use a cable to connect to net on my desktop while allowing my bro to connect to net on his laptop through the wi-fi. Right now, we have to disconnect from the net on one to be able to connect on the other. Is there a way to do so without disconnecting?

They are all on the same domain but some of these users are getting dropped from the Internet, and email. Once they restart there PC it works for a couple of hours than it drops again. We also tried updating the network driver after doing that it works ok for a couple of hours after that they start lossing connection to the Internet and email again. We have tried several different things but have not being succesful in finding the issue.

I live in a house with 5 other students. To be fair, it is in the middle of nowhere so the internet is probably very slow anyway, but here is my problem: Skype is so slow I can only just make a voice call, webcam chat is off the cards. YouTube and other videos are so slow to load I cannot watch them. My Xbox 360 constantly disconnects from the wireless, so I cannot play online.

1. Will I require a router as well as a switch ? or should I simply get a new switch ( for more then 20 users ) This would mean static ip for all users.
2. My idea is to create a AD server and use websense on it so that users who require internet access can still open internet sites but will be restricted through websense proxy.
Bought a Dir-600 from challenger, used it for 3 months and started expericing the common problems of loosing internet connection highlighted by many users here and in other forums. Would always have to do a modem / router power cycle to get it going again.Slightly after 3 months... the thing went dead. Can power up but no response. - I am able to ping internet addresses from the 2801 router
- I am not able to ping internet addresses from userlaptop but I am able to ping LAN gateway (192.168.254.254)
I cannot understand why the internet requests from the user laptopuser are not routed to the internet but the router itself can access the internet.

I have web server setting behind the Linksys ADSL modem, I set the DMZ IP to my web server IP so the external internet users can access my web pages.
This setup was working fine until I switched to “Linksys X3000” modem, external internet user can no more access my web pages.I had set the DMZ IP correctly in the new modem. The local LAN users can access the pages without any problem.
We've got Workgroup LAN at our office and the Server is configured by the OS “Windows Server 2008 R2”. Most of the users use OS Windows XP-Service Pack-2. Now, I want to see the Internet surfing status/activities done by any particular user/users at any time from the Server. You know that, some people enter into restricted sites which impose severe negative impact on the network. If I could trace from the Server any user of doing this, I shall block his Internet connection from the Server.

I have configured and tested an ASA-5505 that will be deployed at a customer's home. The ISP cable modem will connect to the E0 (outside) interface of the ASA. All other interfaces on the ASA are configured for the inside network 192.168.5.0/24. I have created a VPN site-to-site tunnel between this ASA and the UC540 to allow 192.168.5.0/24 subnet access to the internal networks on the UC540.
The user has requested that all the network devices used by the rest of the family will only need to connect to the Internet. They will not need access to the VPN tunnel and they will not need access to the computers on the 192.168.5.0/24 inside network. I was planning on performing the following tasks to get this to work.
