Belkin Routers :: N600DB IP Reservation For Connected Devices
Apr 24, 2013
I purchased the Belkin N600DB, but I can't seem to find a way to reserve IP addresses for my connected devices. I need to run a server through the router, but (naturally) it keeps changing my local IP address. I cannot find the reservation utility.
I have a 1TB hard drive connected to my N600DB that I use as a media server to my kids Xbox... My problem is that I use this drive to back up all my data from my laptop, including movies, pictures and music. I only want to share the movies... I have over 5000 pictures alone so my router never gets to index all the movies I want to share..
I have the N600DB Wireless Router I am connected to the internet, but cannot open My Routers Homepage with http://router or http://192.168.2.1. How can I get to this page to reset the router settings? I also cannot connect any of my wireless devices to the network..
I have N600 HD Wireless dual band N Router. have successfully installed the router on wireless mode, however I have the following problem in accessing the storage devices connected to the Router.I can see the storage devices connected to the Router in the "Belkin USB Print and Storage center", but when I double click to browse the devices, it does not open up.
I'm trying to get 'Access Control' working so I can limit Wi-Fi time on my kids iPod touches, but the settings aren't clear and the help file is not clear whatsoever.I've been testing it with my iPhone, I have the MAC added, but none of the options available will even stop my iPhone accessing the internet over my Wi-Fi.
N600DB - Currently configured with primary computer hardwired to router, 1 laptop via WiFi, a Network booster used by iPhone/iPads and every time I wake the primary computer I get the Router Monitor alert that my internet connection has failed. By the way, I am currently using the primary computer to post this and the Belkin Router Monitor still says my "internet connection has failed" and An Internet connection cannot be established at this time. Re-booting your router may solve this problem, but you will temporarily lose your connection during the reboot.
Am running firmware ver 1.00.19. Set up DDNS with DynDns.Org and all is well. Set up virtual server with DDNS info. Trying to connect to an IPcam (Foscam 8905W). IPcam is set up with static IP with ip outside Belkins DHCP range.
Problem: When trying to access the IPcam through the internet (DynDns) Belkin takes me right to the Belkin router Setup screen, not to the virtual server settings (IPcam). I was able to do it a couple of months ago,but not now. I may have upgraded my firmware in that time from 1.00.12.
I have a N600DB configured as a primary router. I got another playmax n600HD router which I want to configure as an access point that extends my network upstairs and allows me to attach some wired devices like my ps3. I followed the basic principles of setting as access point and my locally connected ps3 and NAS are communicating but no Internet access. How the 2nd router can connect to the internet?
I assigned the access point a static IP 192.168.2.50 within the router IP range. My computer wireless card is detecting the access point but I can't get the belkin n600db to detect the access point.
my belkin 5909 router does not see wireless devices. It worked fine until about a week ago. Now, using the correct password - device sees router, but can't log on. I get an "incorrect password" message. I can access my router to make changes with wired connection. Wireless does not work.
Router: F7D8301 v1 (firmware is up to date)I recently plugged a 2tb external hdd into one of the usb ports of the router. I have the video mover box checked and when it is, I can see the LaCie hard drive under network locations drive z in My Computer (Windows 7). I can open it and explore it, and see the media on the drive. But when I use one of the DLNA devices in my house (Vizio smart tv, Roku, and PS3) the only drive that shows up is the router's root file "Play N600 HD Dual video oot" not the LaCie drive or any of the contents. Is there any way to share the contents of the USB drive with these devices?
i have a belkin wireless router F6D4230-4. the "wired" and "router" lights are green but the "wireless", "modem", and "internet" lights won't come on. when they do, its red. the router is connected but won't pick up in any other rooms or on our phones.
I have a Belkin Play N600 HD router. Does it have the capability to let me assign fixed IP addresses to devices like printers, NAS drives, and cameras so I know where they are?
This model is FK91105v1. It is great with our ten different devices (possibly even a dozen?), but it continues to disconnect a Kindle Fire - that used to connect with no problem - evidently upon acquisition of a newer Kindle Fire. As long as MAC Filtering is not enabled, then there shouldn't be an issue of a "white list" - which the Kindle manual suggests as a solution ("If ... filtering is enabled, ensure your Kindle's MAC address is added to your router's white list in your network settings"). (I did figure out how to go to the network address, but was mostly flumoxed from there)
My router had two problems I was able to fix one after applying the firmware update I found on this site. That was concerned with dropping network connections. I'm left with the router not recognizing devices I plug into the USB port. Plug N Play doesn't give a sound, My Computer doesn't show it and I dont see it in Device manager. I tried connecting A Seagate harddrive and a Scandisk FOB.
On the System Summary screen in the Port Statistics table when you click on one of the Connected links the pop open window does not show the IP address of the connected device when using IPv4. Where can I find this?
If the devices are using static IP addresses and not getting them from the DHCP server they do not show in the Client Table under DHCP Status.
If they are know MAC addreses because they have been assigned to static IPs on the DHCP setup screen they will not show up in the Uknown MAC Addresses pop up window.
I have a Belkin N450BD that doesn't seem to want to connect with my Siemens modem. The WLAN cable is connected to the WLAN port on my router but the WLAN light on the modem doesn't illuminate.
N750DB status light is constant amber, router says I am not connected to the internet, but everything on my network is connected and can access the internet.
How can I update my router if my Internet won't work with the router connected? Right now my Ethernet line is going directly from my PC to my modem. Belkin N750.
After much troubleshooting to connect and stream content from my desktop to my blu-ray player, it only works if my laptop is also connected to the network. I use a Belkin N150 F9K1001v1. I cannot for the life of me figure out why it will stream just fine as long as my laptop is running as well. I am confused if this is an issue with the router or with Windows7 Homegroup (though other share options proved unfruitful).
I have been receiving error messages that the router, model F9K1105 v3, was not connected periodically. The "fix it" option usually took care of it. Then I noticed that the indicator for the modem was showing the color grey instead of blue. I also became unable to access the settings with the default IP. I wasn't able to fix this so I tried to reinstall the software and reset the modem to just start all over. I was unable to get the computer to detect the router during setup. Unplugged, tried new cable etc. No luck. It was still saying it was unable to connect, and still unable to get to setup page. I happened to notice I WAS online and can connect to the router wirelessly with an Iphone.
What can I do to get the software to see that I am connected and how do I get to the setup page? Basically get everything to work like it did when I first installed it. Eventually I want to connect my old router to this one and use it as an access point.
I have a Belkin N600 model # F9K1102v1 i am loosing connection on all of the components connected to it wired or wireless. They all loose connection at the same time. I also noticed the clock in the router does not set to the correct time it is reading 1970 for the year and never changes.
