Router interface for N450 DB fails to load/loads slowly/loads partially. I am running Windows 8, and have tried IE10 both from Start Screen and desktop, no luck.

View 2 Replies View RelatedBelkin N450 Router. I want to restrict Internet access completely but allow LAN access to a shared drive for a particular computer on my wireless network. I have gone into the web based set up page and under access controls have enabled and added this computer to the list. I have blocked http, https, ftp and nntp. I don't know if this is enough. The reason I am asking is that I am in Iraq right now and I want to allow my fellow team members access to the wireless for using viber on their iphones but one cat even though he has hardwired internet wants to continuously suck off my wireless for his computer to download stuff since I paid for faster internet. I am trying to do this quietly and still allow him access to the shared drives on the LAN. Sooooo If I block him just outright will he still have access to the drives or do I need to pick and choose like I did above and if I need to pick and choose did I miss anything other then pop3 email and imap?

It is great with our ten different devices (possibly even a dozen?), but it continues to disconnect a Kindle Fire - that used to connect with no problem - evidently upon acquisition of a newer Kindle Fire. As long as MAC Filtering is not enabled, then there shouldn't be an issue of a "white list" - which the Kindle manual suggests as a solution ("If ... filtering is enabled, ensure your Kindle's MAC address is added to your router's white list in your network settings"). (I did figure out how to go to the network address, but was mostly flumoxed from there)

I opened the "NETWORK AND SHARING CENTER" and click the "CHANGE ADAPTER SETTINGS", the Belkin wireless adapter is disabled and had tried enabling it but still it is disable. I uninstalled the driver and the program, I checked in the internet and downloaded the file F9L1101v1_N600.exe and installed. Checked again but still the same problem before, Disabled and tried enabling but to no success.

I have on Desktop wired to the router which is my main pc. When I access internet the website load really slow, but when I connect the pc directly to Comcast modem, it's blitz fast. My internet speed is 15 Mbps. I have another desktop and laptop. None of them have the problem. What settings I have to change to get back to speed I used to have before.I messed up some settings on the Cisco Connect and accidentally reset the router. After re-installing the router the problem started.

When the router is restarted using the menu software it will run quicker, but only for 20-30 second then back to a slow speed. The speed on all of my wireless devices (a new laptop, ipad, and iphone) is still below 1mbps, even when I'm in the same room with the router. The speed on my wired computer registers above 20mbps, so I don't think the problem lies with the cable internet. I have tried to download the firmware update on Belkin's site, but my computer says it doesn't have the right program to run it, and it can't find the program on the web. I sent an e-mail to Belkin customer service, but they just sent me an automated reply, referring me back to their website, with the firmware update that I can't access.

I went to what I thought was the product page for the N600 and found the latest version of the firmware and flashed to it. The only thing it does now when I plug it in is 2 slow flashes of the green light and then nothing. I tried holding down the WPS button while plugging it in and I get the light to stay green but it doesn't respond to 192.168.2.1.\

When I plug my desktop computer directly into the router, I get speeds upwards of 50Mbps. The wireless, however, gets about 0.15Mbps download, but as much as 12Mbps upload.
I know it's not computer specific, because I plugged my laptop directly into the modem and got the full speed. AND I put a wireless adaptor on the desktop and got the slower speeds.I live in a densely populated area and there are 27 other (visible) wireless networks available (all locked, unfortunately. Otherwise I wouldn't be in this situation in the first place). So I tried every channel, doing a speedtest with each, and I got almost identical results each time: 0.12-0.17Mbps download, 11-13Mbps upload. I can't imagine that getting only 0.15Mbps could be a result of a channel being clogged, but I tried it anyway;
