The software (Dell Mobile Broadband Utility Help) says " Choose Network Selection from the Settings Menu. Select AT&T and click Load." Unfortunately, Network selection is not an option.
How do I do it? This modem is compatible with Verizon, AT&T and Sprint networks.
My daughter is 10,000 miles from home taking classes in South Africa and her laptop is having issues! She can connect fine via wifi at the local internet cafe and it works just fine....but from her flat she has to connect wifi first then sign into broadband. She can get the wifi connection but her modem just sits there saying dialing and never gets anywhereWe have tried updating the modem driver to no avail, there is no static IP set up in her network connections, modem status says its ok.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy company is moving the datacenter to our new building on Saturday, however the users will remain at the old building until late next month so they bought a 100M Metro E VPLS circuit through their ISP. I went to test it today but could not ping the workstation from my laptop. I wanted to do some bandwidth testing with iperf but could never get to that point because ICMP connectivity wasn't even there. From what I understand, VPLS is just a layer 2 extension so they way I'm testing the circuit below SHOULD work, but it isn't. Spoke with the ISP and they tested the circuit end-to-end on their equipment which was fine so am I missing something?

View 7 Replies View RelatedYesterday there was huge storm, and lightning smashed into nearby house. My computer was running and I turned it off just after that. Result of nearby lightning was that internet no longer worked afterwards.
Soon after I was able to connect on my laptop, (laptop was connected and turned on during storm too) but desktop was still unable to do so.
I noticed that in device manager there is missing network adapter in list. EVerything is connected as it should be, but ethernet port doesnt have any lights on. I believe there should be some small light on port as is on my laptop, but Im unsure.
how I could check whether my network card is ok? Or what could the problem be? I really hope its just software issue.
Made a big mistake - Installed 64 bit Win7 professional on new HP that had 64 bit Win7 Home premium on it. Computer was a gift, bought as the last one available and was a demo model from Sam's club. Had no idea the ethernet card driver and the wireless software drivers would be lost, but they were, as was the driver for the USB hub. I recently tried to uninstall some of my USB ports to resolve a problem I was having with my iPod... but in the process it seems tohave knocked out my internet connection. In Device Manager under Network Adapters, it shows two devices --
1. Intel(R) PRO/100 VE Network connection
2. USB 10/100 LANThe Intel device seems to be working, but the USB LAN has a warning exclamation through it.. and it says the drivers are not installed. How do I get these drivers? All links I find are for the Intel product.. if I downloaded this, would it correct the missing drivers on the USB LAN device?
I reformatted my PC in order to remove a corrupt AVP. I reinstalled the OS without a problem, but after I could not connect to the internet because it said I was missing my network drivers.where I can get these drivers? I have Win 7 64bit.
