i am using bsnl broadband connection.when i want to connect to internet it is saying that TCP/IP NOT INSTALLED.DISABLE E-MAIL SCANNING IN YOUR SEMANTIC PRODUCT 1003,3. so i removed the semantic anti product. still internet is not connecting. what shall i do?
View 1 RepliesI've been having some problems with my Ethernet connection lately.The problem started early last week. I'm currently relocating, so I unplugged my laptop from the Ethernet connection I had at my old place.At two different locales, I have tried to use an Ethernet connection in order to get better speed (the wireless at the first locale was non-existent and at the second it is extremely slow in my room). I have done so with two separate cables that I have tested on others' computers and found that they are perfectly fine. That, of course, leads me to believe that it is my computer and is either a hardware or software problem (here's hoping it's the latter).Anyway, my laptop is a Dell Inspiron 1720 (purchased in 2006). About a year ago, I updated to Windows 7 from the pre-installed Vista. Never had any problems (as I said, everything was fine up until about a week ago). The installed card is a Broadcom 440x 10/100 Integrated Controller. Everything under Device Manager indicates that the hardware is working properly and has all of its drivers installed, but nothing is working.I have tried to uninstall and re-install the drivers (albeit by allowing windows to find them automatically), but the result is the exact same.I have checked the port and found that there is no debris or obstructions. My computer hasn't been dropped or mishandled in any way.

The software (Dell Mobile Broadband Utility Help) says " Choose Network Selection from the Settings Menu. Select AT&T and click Load." Unfortunately, Network selection is not an option.
How do I do it? This modem is compatible with Verizon, AT&T and Sprint networks.
My daughter is 10,000 miles from home taking classes in South Africa and her laptop is having issues! She can connect fine via wifi at the local internet cafe and it works just fine....but from her flat she has to connect wifi first then sign into broadband. View 2 Replies View RelatedSeveral months ago I installed D-Link's DIR 655 on my W7 x64 PC. Everything worked fine including NetFlix and being able to view photos located on my PC on my Sony TV. The TV is connected via wired Ethernet cable from the D-Link and I use my cable service signal from the router to the TV.
Then I had to reinstall my OS and although I can still view all the cable companies offerings, including NetFlix on the TV, I'm no longer able to see or view images located on my PC on the TV. I didn't change any of the wiring.
I tried reinstalling the D-Link CD but I can't find where it installs on my PC. It's not listed in the Device Manager or in Programs. I'm wanting to know what version of the D-Link driver I have and to be able to view photos and videos on my TV that are located in shared folders on my PC. I'm the only one who uses the PC.
Because of a virus, I recently had to reinstall Windows 7 on my laptop. Upon restarting, I found out that I cannot connect to the Internet using a wired connection (Ethernet cable). I tried going in the Device manager to try and troubleshoot the Network Adapters, but the only object in that category was "Intel (R) WiFi Link 5300 AGN". In a lower category, "Other Devices", I see two "Base System Device", one "Unknown Device" and one "Ethernet Controller", all of them with little yellow exclamation marks on the icon. I guessed the problem was the Ethernet Controller, so I tried "Update Driver...". It told me that it could not find a driver for my device.

Anyway, after XP was up, I put the D-link drivers on. The internet came up and worked like normal for 5-10 minutes, then 'poof', gone. Each time I attempted to connect after that I got a warning message stating I do not have network adapters? I was under the impression that is what D-link was?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an office server set up to about 10 computers. We hired 4 new people and had to set up their computers on our network. Set up was easy and quick as usual. But when I was done, the other computer users, and even the new ones were complaining about not being able to access the DEFCON5 (name of our server) folder to get what they needed.
Basically the only workstations that show up when I click Network are the computers I added the other day, and the computer that is used more than any other computer (the CEO's). We can still access the files by typing the location as \DEFCON5****** and find what we need. But not everyone at my office is computer savy (no body is) and I would like to not have to keep running around and showing everyone this.
After getting the cable set up (some new wireless modem that comcast gave us) we were able to connect to the internet once, after putting in the password, but after that the next day our computer would not recognize any networks at all, it's just say no connections are available.I already:-restarted computer,-reset modem (we used to have a router and a cable modem but now only the wireless modem)-rolled-back drivers,-disabled then re-enable driver (did NOT uninstall or reinstall)-opened the computer up, take out the adapter, tryed and got the dust off-unscrewed and rescrewed antenna- tested a laptop, and it had an internet connection - and probably a few other things which I can't rememberLast time on the computer, I uninstalled a few things with revo, ran registry cleaner, browsed internet, and installed a new nvidia driver (after the problems arose). I was able to install a netgear wireless usb adapter (which is how I'm on the internet right now), but it frequently gitters and I can't use the NetGear for very long seeing as how a different computer uses it.

I can connect to my ISP and DHCP just fine, and I get DNS servers back just fine, but the DIR 615 doesn't serve DNS correctly for the devices on the LAN. If I set the LAN machines' DNS manually to the IP addresses provided by my ISP they can look up hosts just fine. With them pointing at the DIR 615 for DNS they get nothing.
When I attempt to perform a name lookup using the admin System Check -> Ping Test I get "Unknown Host". The same name lookup up by any other LAN machine using the same DNS hosts gets the correct result. I've made sure there's no caching.

All the services are up and running when I issue the "show application status acs" command. I am trying to access the web page via http://192.168.1.199:2002 and it just times out. I can ping the server and the server can ping my machine.

"Error 7 (net::ERR_TIMED_OUT): The operation timed out." Some pages, randomly, but fairly often will be very unresponsive/time out.
Main office has a ASA 5520, new office has a ASA 5510. Problem is no traffic goes out when the 5510 is installed, no internet no network connection to servers.I have both config files attached.
