View 2 Replies View RelatedI have two SSIDs on an Autonomous Access Point, that goes to a 2960 switch, that connects to a L3 3560. I have a vlan for admin/private internal access that uses the native vlan (1) and guest vlan (50). I have configured both and I am trying to get both to go out the same Internet connection.
I cannot get the guest access to access the Internet. It looks like my computer will go, but it just comes up saying no Internet access.All interfaces are trunking this vlan properly. I can communicate from the laptop to the 3560 but I just can't get to the Internet.
I am trying to setup internet access and intranet access using two cards per PC. I don't have sever software and I want to be able to share files between several machines. I have two routers. One that connects to cable modem and one that connects to intranet side. I have assigned different static ip addresses to both cards.

The access point (a TP-Link WA801N) is only able to access the internet when it is plugged into a port that is on the default VLAN (PVID 1). If I plug it into one of the other VLANs then any clients connected to the WiFi lose access to the internet and cannot access devices on the VLAN. I have previously used this setup with a first generation Cisco WAP4410N. [code]

Whenver I try to establish a tunnel on SDM_CMAP_2 and run a test using CCP, I get 2 failure reasons:
1. The peer must be routed through the crypto map interface. The following peer(s) are routed through non-crypto map interface - 4.58.130.130
2. The tunnel traffic destination must be routed through the crypto map interface. The following destinations are routed through non-crypto map interface - 4.58.130.134
The tunnels on SDM_CMAP_1 are all active Do I need to include a default route for the second ISP on the router? If so, how do I get this done? When I tried it, I had loops on the user LAN segment of the network.
I've been following those instructions to set a dir-615 as a wifi access point connected to a switch : [URL]. I am now able to connect to the 615 either by wifi or by typing it's ip address with another computer connected to the LAN. Connecting to the 615 by wifi, i can do a ping request to urls or receive and send mail with my e-mail client but i can't access websites using my browser.s it possible to get it working without installing some kind of modified firmware? I tried plugging the Internet ethernet cable in the LAN and Internet ports of the 615, none works.

Further, I can't access the router through a browser - 192.168.0.1 results in a "Firefox cannot connect" message. I've tried resetting the DNS to no avail. I'm typing via cell phone and it's annoying, but I'm willing to try about anything.

I only want the guest network to have internet access. I have the guest network enabled on the router and access points with the option to "Allow Guest network to access main network" disabled. My problem is that since the access points aren't hooked directly to my modem via the WAN port, the guest network broadcasted from the access points does not have internet access.I have read up on setting up a separate subnet for the guest network using DD-WRT but was curious if there was a way to get the desired result with the stock Netgear firmware.

Last night I accessed the Internet at home via my USB Internet dongle (actually an O2 mobile phone). Today neither works. I have also tried to connect to the Internet via Wireless and that does not work either.Needless to say my desktop (using the same Cat5 cable) works. My mobile phone can access the Internet on it own. View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a computer on my network that can't connect to the internet even though it has a valid IP address and can access / be accessed by other machines on the network (I use it as my file server and also remote in using TeamViewer LAN mode).The router wouldn't seem to be a problem because the other machines on the network that are connected to the same router in the same way access the internet fine. The only difference is that they are Win 7 HP and this one is Win XP Pro. I know there could be some funky setting on the router, but it would have to be placed there intentionally and I have never done anything with those settings.I ran a full virus scan today (using manually downloaded definition updates) and also tried removing and reinstalling the ethernet connection, turning off the firewall, repairing the ethernet connection, and rerunning the network setup wizard (including a number of restarts).
