Yesterday, I installed the N450 DB and it was probably the easiest install I've ever had to do. One problem though, I can now no longer send or receive email thru Outlook Express 6. Keep getting this message 'The host 'mail' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly. Account: 'mail', Server: 'mail', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D'.
View 3 Replies View Relatedwe have a 4510r-e running 12.2(50)SG1 w/ various rj45 line cards and a 24 port glc card.at any given time, i see 10's of ports in 10/full.i go to the station, and find the station in 100/full or 1000/full.
i go to the switch w/ my fluke, connect it directly to the switch w/o any intermediate infrastructure except a 50cm cat6 patch cable.the fluke reports 1000/full, but THE SWITCH PORT REPORTS STILL 10/FULL.all ports are config'd 'speed auto' and 'duplex auto'.
the switch seems to be erroneously reporting 10/full.there are no errors logged on any of the ports and there is successful communications even when the station and switch port report different speeds.even though there are no errors logged nor reported by 'show int [port]' nor 'sho int count error' certain killer applications crash on some stations. (the applications are GHOST (which dumps disk images from a server to multiple stations) and NETOP (which i sused in a classroom to transmit an instructors screen to a room full of stations) both of which broadcast and/or multicast.all nodes involved in the above 2 applics are on the same vlan and same phyiscal subnet.
the ports which report 10/full vary and occur even when the above applics are not in use.the only way i found to clear this 10/full report is by either a hardware reset of the entire module or by unplugging the cable, the execute on the port shutdown, speed auto, no shutdown, reconnect cable.then it's just a matter of time until it pops back to 10/full in a few minutes, hours or days.
how to address the killer applic problems besides restructuring the whole net by defining separate vlan for each lab of 20 or so stations?
I have a question about NAT behavior on FWSM 4.0. The problem is email server (Company A) cannot connect to email gateway (Company B) on the outside network and it randomly happen. I got this error from server guy "Detail: xlate has blocked the connection between A’s mail gateway and B’s mail gateway". It work fine again after clear xlate on firewall. [code]
1. How FWSM create xlate table like that? I mean it look like NAT0 for 158.137.21.26 but it doesn't has any nat rule for 158.137.21.26 on firewall.
2. What does it mean "connections 24" at the first of line? In the normal time, I only see the connections is 0 like the second line of xlate
3. After clear xlate global 158.137.21.26, the first line of xlate table is gone then email server can connect each other. Does is a bug on FWSM? or This is a normal NAT behavior of FWSM.

View 1 Replies View RelatedHow can view the scheduled archiving job in lms 3.1 ?
View 1 Replies View Relatedcreate a scheduled task in LMS. In this task I would like to regularly check time on all network devices in LMS and generate a rapport about this that would be sent to e-mail. All network devices have the same NTP server. How can I create this task? LMS version is 3.2 SP1.
View 4 Replies View RelatedUsually the configuration files are fetched once every week. Lately, the Scheduled Config collection job is failing for all the devices. I have tried to “sync Archive” from LMS 3.2 on some devices but nothing happens. The switches out there are C3750, 2960, 2950, 3550, 3650 and some routers. The server is Win Ser 2003.

I'm trying out the RV120W wireless router with the latest firmware. I have two APs set up with different schedules. However, the router fails to enable the APs as scheduled and I have to cycle the power to get the APs going again.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI use CiscoWorks LMS 4.0.1.
I planned a discovery of devices for some time, but if I change the parameters of discovery (adding a seed device) in "Discovery Settings Summary", this change does not apply in the scheduled task.
If I change the settings in the scheduled task, the changes do not apply in "Discovery Settings Summary". We must change the settings 2 times.
Friend of mine has a setup out in the sticks, currently with two ISPs: Hughesnet satellite, and a line-of-sight WiFi provider; they're also getting a cel tower within range soon and he's looking at adding an HSPA/LTE connection via that as well.the first gives him a static IP and ridiculous speed and bandwidth at night... but far less speed and a painfully low bandwidth cap during the day (you go over, you pay through the nose).
The second gives lots of bandwidth but poor speeds (difficult to even watch a YouTube video) and a constantly-changing dynamic IP.The third, once implemented, will give him good speeds and decent bandwidth (I believe up to 10GB/mo) but again, will get spendy if he goes over that limit.Right now, I've got him set up with both routers plugged into the same network, multi-homed the NICs on his machines (192.168.0.* for Hughes, 192.168.1.* for LOS) and a little script on each computer that will change the default gateway to let him select which ISP he wants to use... however, it's going to get trickier with a third, and will make it even tougher to keep track of the bandwidth used on each one... especially with multiple computers, a DVR, and two users.
So I'm looking for some way to automate all this... something that will, say, use the HSPA feed most of the time for his whole home network, switch to LOS if it gets near the cap, and switch everything over to the satellite automatically during "unlimited" hours. Again, I'm not opposed to setting up something PC-based with the appropriate software, although for my own sanity, it would really need to be Windows-based (I'm way below n00b with Linux).
I'm trying to schedule a 90 second capture every 20 minutes to coincide with a process I have running. I have created a batch fun to run tshark.exe with the command to stop after 90 seconds, and an output file (-w). This all works, my challenge is that the next time it runs it overwrites the previous file. Is it possible to make tshark timestamp the filename? or is there something clever someone can recommend with a batch file to copy last version somewhere else and rename, so that I can have the process running constantly.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWe're since long having a problem with a DSL internet connection. The connection goes down periodically, for short times, and when performing speed tests, the connection speed varies and is usually lower (0.7 Mbit/s) than what the ISP promises (1.5-2 Mbit/s). Moreover, what modem is being used seems to have an effect. Now, I want to trouble-shoot this and get some hard facts on the behaviour of the connection. I would like to do repeated speed tests over say 24 h or so. They should be done every 3 min or so (to catch short glitches).
My question is: what software tool can I use for this? I have been searching the internet for hours, downloading a handful of applications, without finding anything that I could use. There are loads of applications that log and graph the current upload and download speeds, but that's something else - I need a tool that downloads/uploads files from/to a server, in intervals specified by me (3 min), logging the result and presenting it graphically.
A few weeks ago I noticed that at 9:00am sharp every morning my internet access dropped, and would come back up four minutes later.
The router is connected to a DSL-526B in bridge mode. My first thought was that the modem was playing up, so I factory reset it and reconfigured it.
I checked my ACLS and didn't see any rules that started or ended at 9:00 am so I just lived with it for a week or so until it got so annoying I contacted my ISP to see if they were resetting anything at 9am.
By accident, I saw that my wireless radio was being enabled aat 9:00am, as it had been for the last 2 years, when I first bought the router. But this problem has only started a few weeks ago.
So I changed the wireless schedule to see if that was really the cause for the reset, and sure enough, whatever time I changed the wireless schedule to, the router rebooted at that time.
I've also factory reset the router; twice; the first time I saved/restored my configuration, the second time I recreated all configuration from scratch.
why enabling the wireless radio resets the router, and why disabling it doesn't, and how to correct this behaviour?
So I have bought myself a DCS-2121 with firmware 1.05, 4630. Everything works fine except that the camera does not seem to adhere my settings on the snapshots page. At average, it seems that only one image is sent to my FTP-server regardless of the interval parameters.
View 2 Replies View Relatedmy DCS-2121 :
The scheduled recording or scheduled snapshots is not working. I am running the camera standalone and using the web based configuration, storing the images or avi's on a ftp or samba server.
No matter what i specify, it records when triggered (by motion in my setup). All the other settings like, samba, ftp, video, motion detection, and so on is working fine - but I can't configure it to only record like between 10-16 every day. It records all the time - no matter what I select and what I enter in the schedule scheme.
I am running an E3000 with Firmware - 1.0.04.
I would like to schedule my boys ipods to be on the network from 2:00pm to 4:00pm each day.
Running the Cisco connect software it would appear I can schedule from 2pm until the next morning but not a 2 hour window in the same afternoon.
Looking through other posts I see earlier software where this can maintained through the Router firmware but with 1.0.04 I seem to have to use Cisco Connect.
So how can this be done with my current configuration ?
We are running WCS 7.0.1 and ACS 4.2 using TACACS for our techs to login to WCS (to manage access points). However, when the tech trys to run reports, they get an error:
Permissions Denied
The user is setup in Active Directory and not in WCS. I saw something about adding the user to a group in WCS but again the user is setup in AD. Is there something we need to do in ACS? Not sure what do do.
Have a problem with LMS 4.0.1 and DFM. In DFM no of the devices leaves the questioned state. Trying to rediscover them starts a process that ends after 20% completion every time. I've put on some debuging, but that does not enable more error messages.Only thing i find is in the log file [code] As I've encoded this to be the SNMP engine ID, which on the device is. [code]
View 4 Replies View RelatedWe have CPU reports set to run daily for some of our higher priority switches, and we've noticed that some of the data isn't meshing with what we see on the switch. We have one heavily utilized switch that reports near 100% CPU utilization sometimes. I can do a "show proc cpu history" on that switch and see that at least once an hour over 72 hours, we'll see a near 100% CPU utilization.
The problem is that these spikes never appeare on any of our reports. We'd like to see this info because even if the switch spikes for just a few seconds or a minute, it could still indicate that we may have issues. Without that in the report, we may never realize there could be a problem.
Is there a way for this info to show in the report? I'm under the impression that if LMS polls the switch and doesn't see a high utilization average, then maybe it doesnt' enter that in the report. I guess I'd just like to know how often it pulls this data, and how it decides wath the Min, Max, and Averages are.
I have modified my radius accounting reports using "interactive viewer" and saved successfully but the exported report doesn't reflect these changes. I'm just wondering what's the point of being able to modify the reports if you can't export your changes or there is something I'm missing?
View 3 Replies View RelatedWe use LMS 3.2 with the latest patches. In IPM we have a couple of collectors (availabilty latency etc) and reports for our customers.
The polling interval for all collectors are working hour 7:30 - 18:00 Mo - Fr.
Unfortunately the polling detail is not included in the PDF report. Is there a way to include this information in the report.
We're currently running on ACS 5.2.0.26.9 with 2 appliances (one primary and one secondary).Today, I wanted to get some reports from the Monitoring and Reports tool. At beginning, it seemed impossible to generate them. Later, I decided to reload first primary and then secondary. As soon as I've done it, I got an email alert telling me that it failed parsing NAD.

We had an existing installation of LMS 4.1 which seemed to have worked fine with the exception that it was giving problems with logging Syslog events. We tried everything to resolve it and then we found a link on this very site that explained that there was a bug in displaying Syslog events on LMS 4.1. It is important to state that we would get a few Syslog events but the rest were either filtered or discarded. As per the bug toolkit, we realized that we had to upgrade to LMS 4.2 to have the bug resolved. This was not a problem and we installed LMS 4.2 as a direct upgrade to LMS 4.1. We backed up our existing data and the installation process migrated everythin automatically. Now, LMS 4.2 is installed and our objective of having Syslog messages are being received regularly as we wanted.unfortunately, when we try to generate a report such as "Detailed Device" report and try to select All Devices from the Device Selector menu, we do not see any of our devices. However, we do find our devices listed under User-Defined Groups -> (Our DCR). Based on this, we can generate reports and everything is fine.Yet, we are doing this for a client of ours and they expect to see these devices listed in the "All Devices" section of the device selector. Apart from that, everything seems to be working fine.
