Cisco Routers :: RV100W - Connection Is Slow / Go Down?

i got an issue with vpn and cisco rv100w, router is configured well and computers and iphone can connect with PPTP. Problem became when we map NAS drive from computer or we move data (1-4 Mb). Seems connection go down, speed is so slowly and drop the connection.Is it from router? or from Internet provider?
More data, If I connect to http of router/NAS .. all go fine, only when we need data from NAS (map drive by windows) copy, open files, ..., connection is so slowly and drop connection.

We have a new RV100W Router. I would like to use it for iPhones,PC's, and MAC's to connect via IPSec (QuickVPN) or PTTP. Everytime I go to setup VPN, it tells me I must change to a 10.x.x.1 network. How can I use VPN without doing so?

I'm an IT professional with more than 10 years experience. I have spent last 5 days trying to figure out why the wifi connection to this router is so slow, but still no luck. I'm getting only 13Mbps even if my laptop is next to the router! (wired connection worked ok)
I have tried all sort of setting combinations, 2.4GHz/5GHz; N only/ G,N Mixed; Auto/20MHz bandwidth; different channels; WPA2 encrypted vs open; disable firewall; wmm enabled/disabled; 1.0.0.26/1.0.1.0 firmware... no matter what I try, I always get only 10 - 15Mbps speed.
Once I replace this router with my old router, it worked perfectly --- getting 70 - 80Mbps with exactly the same testing environment and configuration.

I've recently upgraded from a 512k adsl connection to a 16mb fiber optic connection.Whereas I never had a problem previously, my rvs4000 slows to a crawl once or twice per week. The only solution seems to be to cycle the power since the admin interface freezes. I also have to cycle the power on my two wireless ap to get them back up.I believe I have the latest firmware, is this a common problem on a faster connection?

My ISP tested my connection and told me my signal is very weak. I can no longer play games online because I lag tremendously. I can't steam videos while someone else is using the internet either. Also I can't access it on wireless devices unless I am in view of the router. I'm not sure what caused my connection to suck butI have the essential plan from cox.com. My Router has been gone from running at bout 7Mb download speed to 500Kb download speed. When the router is restarted using the menu software it will run quicker, but only for 20-30 second then back to a slow speed. It was off while we were on holiday in August and has not been any good since. Its a shame as it only 2 years old.

Having an issue with my Belkin N600 router - when initially installed it was working fine but in the past week it has gtten slower - if I connect directly to my DSL modem my speed is 1.5 MBS when I use the router connection my speed drops to .1 MBS - tried resetting to factory defaults & that did not work also tried resetting my modem *& router still having the same issue.

I have problem with my Internet connection. Recently my Internet connection often get slow. There are 3 connections on the server running Windows Server 2003. 1st is External, 2nd is Internal and 3rd is VPN (please see attahement). There is nothing to do with External and Internal connections, and everytime the Internet connection get slow, I have to disconnection VPN (connection) and connect it again.

Recently I placed an Cisco SRP 526W, but this modem is acting quite strange. I have configured an ADSL connection, some NAT forwardings and a VPN tunnel, all of this is working fine. When the Cisco is booted and running, everything runs smooth. Internet is working nice, I can connect over the VPN tunnel to the internal network and so on. The problem is that after a while, mostly after a day or two days, internet browsing is showing problems. IE can't display the page and I have to refresh 1 on 2 times to reach te webpage. I can't connect over the VPN tunnel to the internal network or the internal ip-address of the router, the router is not responding on ping request on the internal ip and external ip. The NAT forwardings are still responing though.
After a reboot everything is running fine again, but I can't let my customer reboot his router each day.
From the ZyXEL modem/routers we used to place at our customers I know the NAT table runs full and I had to use a greater value

My brand new RV180 seems not to be able to exceed 1.1 MB/s WAN download speed. Using a simple Linksys WRT-320N I used to have 5-6 times this speed. Value is with default settings, various sources (HTTP/NEWS downloads). Trying to improve this wit QoS-settings dows not improve this in any way.

Recently I bought RV215W router and after installing it in my home network; I started experiencing very slow internet connection over wi-fi. Wired connection to this router are working fine. After several hours of trouble shooting, I am able to isolate the slow internet issue to Wirelss N connection. Wireless b/g works fine.
Router is using 1.0.0.16 firmware. I tried to check is there any latest firmware upgrade for this device. Couldn't find any firmware related information in cisco web site.
One another point related to USB WAN; I am not using any USB for 3G connection. USB indicator is keep on blinking.

I've been having trouble with the internet connection speed on my Mac. I originally noticed the problem when my mail kept timing out whenever I sent an attachment, I went to different forums trying to find the solution but nothing really worked, so I found work arounds for the email and lived with it. Recently the company I work for moved offices and I was no longer behind the RV082 and my internet ran better dispite the slower connection. Once we finished moving, I needed to use the Dual Wan Load Balance feature of th RV082 so I set it up in the new office and my internet was slow again. Unfortunatly in the new office there are several more Macs than just mine so I really need to get it working. Currently we have 2 seperate networks for PC and Mac and I really need to get them on 1. Is there a setting I may have overlooked or is it not going to work with Mac.

i noticed that my network speed was very slow (connected wirelessly with N) i shut down the wireless and connected to my LAN i ran LAN Speed Test

LAN .15sec
i rebooted the router & times were <1sec, however a few minutes later it was slow again running latest firmware V2.0.2.1

Lately I notice my router is very very slow. most of the time I cannot use my ipad or it takes too long and sometimes never finishes downloading a web site. I called Belkin support, and I was told that I need to update and configure, and to do that I have to pay more than what my router cost.

For the past two weeks or so, my internet connection on my pc has become extremely slow(from 200kb to 10). Not only has it gotten slower, i also cannot download anything without the connection stopping. The problem, i believe began a couple months ago with just youtube videos streaming slower and downloads stopping ever few minutes, but until these past two weeks its never been that much of a issue. I know the problem is isn't my dsl because it works fine with other internet capable electronics so it must be a software/driver issue.The svchost uses up 100% of the CPU when something tries to update so it likely might be a windows based program acting up.

The other day I decided to upgrade my old 10/2Mbps connection to a 100/5Mbps cable connection and my ISP gave me the EPC3825 router. When using an ethernet cable everything works great and my speedchecks max out every time, the problem is that I can't have cables all over my apartment so I'd like to use wireless. With a computer located right next to the router I've gotten as high as 20Mbps and usually I'm left at about 3Mbps. I'm aware that using wireless can result in a small drop of speed but this just seems too much, especially considering the fact that I ran a steady 10Mbps when using wireless on my old connection.

I have my router connected to my ISP, but for some reason I am getting really slow internet connection compared to a home Linksys router. I can only think it may be to the fact my port is set to auto speed and auto duplex.
Sometime the websites are fast, other times slow. Cannot seem to pinpoint the reason since my code is so basic.

a customer is running ASA5505 and they have a cloud server behind site-to-site VPN tunnel. They are complaining that FTP transfers are very slow (3-4MB) and the connection goes down very often. They are transfering large (3-6GB) back-up files and ISP connection is 100MB fiber.The problem is not the speed, but that FTP fails to transfer the backups. I recommended to drop MTU size from 1500 to 1430 from the server side, but it didn't seem to work.

I think I might have a problem with how my network is set up.
Cable Modem --->ASA5505--->Cisco 3660--->Switch For some reason if I use the ASA as a DHCP server too, the internet is much faster. Could the 3660 be slowing down the netwok? The 3660 has 2 FE ports, so it should be running good at 10/100 correct? Is there another setup I should consider to speed up the network? [code]

I am using a Samsung N210 with 2GB of memory in it and Windows 7 Starter. When I use the wireless connection the "Connection Status" shows as 72Mbps, which is to be expected considering I am only a few feet from the router.the speed is nothing like that in reality. I tested the actual transfer speeds for the wired and wireless connections by copying a 238MB folder with 77 photos in it. I copied it from the NAS device, where I store all my files, to the local disk of the netbook.

I subscribe to Comcast internet service, at 10 mb/s. When connected wirelessly on my HP laptop, my internet is painfully slow, around 490 kb/s. I have got ADSL 196kbps PPPoe internet connection and lately there has been some problems with it. Sometimes the internet connection disconnects itself and again reconnects. And the internet connection is getting very slow. While downloading, I am able to download at full speed only at those download providers which provides full speed but at other download providers I am able to download with not even half speed. While browsing, the internet loses connectivity sometimes and from my guess I am able to browse with only half the speed. I have tried in different browsers and it is same with all of them.
