Cisco Routers :: WRP400 Nat Disabled - Can't Reach WAN
Oct 9, 2012
[URL]
This router support bridge mode, but i'm unable to configure it. There's no such option in the web configuration page, but the manual says that disabling nat activates automatic routing mode. Unfortunately all i get when i disable nat is to be unable to reach any wan address.
By watching the generated routing table on the wrp400 (when in NO nat mode) i see that 0.0.0.0 is correctly set up to use the external border router, but any incoming packet from the wrp400 lan port isn't routed there.
Also, i don't get any dhcp from the external router, this means the wrp400 is blocking it.
how to set up a bridge mode between wan and lan ports
My Linksys WRP400 router has stopped working. power led blinks red and orange - phone led 1 and 2 light green - wifi connection not work - ethernet LAN connection not work - ethernet WAN connection not work - router now work in bridge mode - factory reset using Reset switch not work - connected analogue phone not work I try dump traffic using ngrep on LAN and WAN port but no packet comes from the router.
On several calls i noticed that the outgoing audio stops for 5..15 seconds randomly. I'd say it happens on an average of every 5 minutes.
When this happens, i can see that the value after "Call1 Packet error:" increases by one. Why just a wrong packet may stop the outgoing audio for so long? i've much more packet losts (about 3%) but they give me no problem at all.
Since a little and cheaper Handytone HT502 gave me intermittent audio too, but the effect was much better (audio still stops, but in a second it comes back), i wonder if is there something i can do by tweaking the WRP400 settings, I'm still using firmware 1.01.00.
I have created a connection gateway-to-gateway between RV220W and RVL200, is doing without any problems. For example, I can ping the gateway on the other side. But when I connect trough RV220W QuickVPN (or PPTP) I can not reach the gateway (RVL200) or any host behind it.
why QuickVPN clients can only reach RV042's LAN Network and not able to access subnet 1 remotely, however PPTP clients can access both..
Firmware Version : v4.1.1.01-sp (Dec 6 2011 20:03:18) Working Mode : Gateway Multiple Subnet: Enabled Device IP Address : 192.168.10.1 LAN: 192.168.10.1/255.255.255.0 Subnet 1: 172.16.10.1/255.255.255.0
QuickVPN clients able to reach all the resouces inside 192.168.10.1/24 remotely, but unable to access 172.16.10.1/24 network.Network 192.168.10.1/24 able to communicatie with network 172.16.10.1/24.PPTP clients able to access both subnets remotely.
I have a F5D8235-4 N+ router and I am trying to connect my Seagate Free Agent hard drive to the USB port on the router so that I can access it on all my network computers. When I first hooked it up, it worked. Now, the drive is lit up like it is working, and when I enter \192.168.2.1 I can see it, however my Windows 7 computer is unable to access it (even though this is the same computer that accessed it when I first hooked it up). The computer I am using is running Windows 7 and is connecting to the network wireless.
I've been trying to disect this problem for a few months to no avail. The router allows me to connect to outside FTP only when IPS is enabled. The moment I disable the IPS functoin, the connection hangs and does not connect to a server. Reason I'd like to keep IPS disabled it is because it's eating up half of bandwith when enabled.RVS4000
I have 25 of these routers installed behind various providers and transport (DSL, Cable, UVerse). At sites where I have static IP, I can't reach any service inside, and in fact can't even reach the router for Remote Management. At all times the users indoes can do whtever they like, the have Internet access.
At sites where we draw a dynamic IP or use PPPoE, I can reach services and manage the router until a known issue stops the inbound traffic.
I had bued a WRP400-G2 device today and found 3 problems here (after upgrade firmware to latest). But biggest problem is that I can't open a bug case in TAC becouse I bued device from retailer and have only one year warranty. Is it possible to contact technical support of Cisco by email or Web site? It will be a problem to contact cisco support by call.
I have a WRP400 VOIP Cisco router.... The WRP400 seems to hamper my ability to access outside the network over time. If the router is plugged in for an amount of time, my broadband (35mb UPC) gradually tapers down to nothing. As soon as I restart the router, my broadband access shoots back up to the full 35mb.I've been on to UPC numerous times, they say their connection is stable & good..... must be router.I have a DVR (security camera system) that when plugged into the WRP400, seems to exacerbate the issue. It normally takes the router two few days to hamper internet access.when I plug-in the DVR internet access goes from 35mbps to 0.5mbps in a few hours. I've update the Firmware to the latest Version: 2.00.26.
I recently moved to a cable ISP and unfortunately had to also change routers in order to take advantage of the VoIP feature (analog phone) they provided me with. Now, the new router, the WRP400, is very limited feature-wise compared to the custom flashed WRT54GL I used to use with my DSL provider. Now the WRT54GL does not have any FXS ports, so I obviously can't just plug my cable modem to the WRT54GL. Therefore, I was hoping to achieve a setup similar to this one:Cable modem => VoIP Router w/ voice only (WRP400) => "Main" router (WRT54GL w/ Tomato)Is there a way to bridge the WRP400 successfully with the WRT54GL keeping only the voice feature enabled on the VoIP router while the WRT54GL takes care of the rest? (Wireless, WAN, port forwarding, etc)
Ports 1 through 3 are configured for VLAN1 and right now I have one PC connected directly to port 1 and nothing connected to ports 2 or 3. Port 4 is configured for VLAN10 with a managed switch (also configured on VLAN10) connected to it. There are 4 wireless access points connected to the switch.
On the Setup->Advanced Routing page of the RVS4000 I have the Inter-VLAN Routing option set to Disabled. Yet when I connect to one of the wireless access points and receive a 192.168.10.x address, I can ping the PC connected to port 1 which has a 192.168.1.x address.
Also, I would like VLAN10 to not have access to the Management GUI on the RVS4000.
I have a Belkin N150 wireless router. I have enabled MAC Address Filtering as an added level of security. However; whenever I access the router, and if I check that page; the check mark for the option to enable the filter is always blank.
I have checked the option, clicked Apply Changes, and logged out of the router. i went back in this morning, to check the security logs. (Looking like someone is trying to jump on my network) I didn't see anything there, but when I checked MAC Address Filtering; there was no check mark indicating that the filter was turned on.
My first try at configuring my RV042 has had unexpected results. I set a WAN and LAN address, but did not enable remote managment and did not configure any port forwarding. I expected to be able to connect to the router on the LAN and I could. The surprise came when I put in my web address. I got a router login page. How do I suppress than on the WAN side. I have a static address with my ISP.
I want to upgrade the firmware for the router wrp400 , i am asked Username & Password in order to update the firmware.I tried admin/admin does not work. I tried to reset the router, same thing, I have no ISP user and password.
I'm trying to reach Celebs4.UsThe first time I tried (earlier today), I was able to access, but when I clicked on one of the images I recieved a "The connection has timed out" error. I have not been able to open the site at all since that very first time.I have done the following:- tested it in both FF and IE- run tracert (seems like the problem is on the site's server end, but everyone else is able to connect fine)- flushdns- clear cachemy tracert: :: pokIt
I have a 2811 (running 12.4(15)XZ) with a WLCM (4.2.209.0).
I have reset the configurations on both. Set FE and WLCM IPs on the router and gave WLC Management and AP manager addresses. All + PC are on the same subnet. Router pings all addresses besides AP-manager(intended). WLC CLI cannot ping PC and PC cannot ping (nor http) to WLC. PC can however ping and telnet the router on both the FE and WLCM IPs.
I followed the guides on WLCM configuration, did I miss something?
How can I access the management IP and the web GUI?

for the last 5 days or so, my internet was acting weird, disconnecting every 20 mins or so, i had an old linksys router, no clue on the modem, but all of it's about 7 years old, i got a replacement, Motorola SBG6580, my connection is somewhat better, but my ISP says they can't ping my router/modem
I've setup a SSL VPN to a ASA 5505 and can connect.
VPN network 192.168.2.0 /24 Inside Network 192.168.1.0 /24 Outside is connected to Router.
I am trying to RDP to a win server on the inside network but I cant get to it. Can not even ping 192.168.1.1 or (not sure if I could anyways) 192.168.2.1...
I added a ACL on the outside interface and then inside interface permit ip any any but still no ping or RDP...
New at VPN and have survived so far on cisco docs but this problem is evading me.
I have an ASA running 8.2(2).I am trying to get the network on the inside interface to be able to communicate through the outside interface and on to the internet.
since a few days I'm trying to solve a problem. I've successfully established an IPSec tunnel between two local LANs. In the main office I'm working with a ASA5510 CLI 8.4 and a static public IP address. The branches are using different Cisco 8xx routers and dynamic public IP address. The following picture shows the current configuration:As I mentioned an IPSec Tunnel between the main office "Intern"-LAN 192.168.1.0/24 and an outside LAN 10.10.0.0/24 is successfully established. Now there is a new intern "Admin"-LAN 192.168.2.0/24 at the main office. The users from the outside LAN 10.10.0.0/24 need the possibility to reach this new intern "Admin"-LAN.Can I simply route the traffic from 10.10.0.0/24 to 192.168.2.0/24 via the existing IPSec-Tunnel? Or need I a new IPSec tunnel between the outside 10.10.0.0/24 LAN and the new "Admin"-LAN 192.168.2.0/24?
i'm setting up vlan and inter-vlan routing in my lab. My vlan work well (routing between them and dhcp relay) on the LAN side of the ASA but they cannot reach internet trough the ASA.
Here my ASA settings :
Note : I know that the physical interface musn't have an @IP but my present network needs one to work. I'll fix this during my next tests.
We set up a 1941 Router with the Cisco Configuration Professional Tool. The VPN Tunnel works and i get an IP Adress from the pool. But i cant reach any devices in the VLAN10 Network. Do i forget anything ?
Here is the config from the Router:
version 15.1 parser view CCP_Monitor secret 5 $1$FnN7$Qr.mbJbPOuOH7Te6MD1.I0 commands configure include end
I have a (central) ASA5510 acting as a EasyVPN server and a number of (remote) ASA5505 as EasyVPN client. All the communication works fine between the different networks. The issu is the ASA itself. The remote ASA can ping the central ASA on it's internal IP-adress, but it can't ping any other resoruces at the central network. If I ping the DC at the central network from the remote ASA I get a deny in the central ASA with source address as the public IP-adress of the remote ASA and destination of the internal address of the DC. If I from the remote ASA do "ping inside ip-of-central-dc" it work's like a charm, but "ping ip-of-central-dc" dosen't work.
I have configured a Remote access vpn on pix 525 with 7.2(4) code. After getting connected (with ip address assigned from the pool) i am not able to reach any of the internal networks. [code]
I've setup a SSL VPN to a ASA 5505 and can connect.
VPN network 192.168.2.0 /24 Inside Network 192.168.1.0 /24 Outside is connected to Router.
I am trying to RDP to a win server on the inside network but I cant get to it. Can not even ping 192.168.1.1 or (not sure if I could anyways) 192.168.2.1...I can ping from the 192.168.1.0 net to 10.0.0.0 and 192.168.2.0 without issue but not the other way around....I added a ACL on the outside interface and then inside interface permit ip any any but still no ping or RDP...
I am able to reach VPN clients (Anyconnect) only from hosts directly connected to the ASA's inside interface subnet. However, hosts on other internal subnets (177.1.10.0 & 177.1.11.0) are unable to connect to clients on VPN. The ASA is running ver 8.4. [code]
I have remote access vpn setup and I can get connected with no issues. I assigned the vpn a pool of addresses from the end of my inside interface subnet. When connected I can ping any device on that subnet, I can also connect to my switch on the same subnet via my browser. I can not however access any device located in my dmz while connected. This is a new setup I'm testing but I need vpn user to be able to use rdp to connect to machines in the dmz.
I am facing the following problem. SmartPhone is connected WiFi hotspot. Suppose SmartPhone ip is 10.0.2.2 and hotspot ip is 10.140.13.12. I am able to send data from smartphone to a server(over internet) which has static ip and sender details in server are hotspot ip. Problem is sending data from server back to smartphone. Tried sending to 10.0.2.2(smartphone) from server but packets are not received.
I have got a problem with my LAN connection. I can't connect to the internet anymore and I can't reach my router. I rebooted my router several times, but that didn't work. I thought my network adapter was broken, so I bought a new one and reinstalled the driver, but it did not work. My router does recognize my computer though. When I tried to boot in safe mode with network opportunities, I was able to connect with my router and internet. I can't use System Restore as I don't have any restore points.
I have two desktop computers upstairs. The main pc has the Linksys G Router and the other pc is wireless with a network adapter. All works fine here.Downstairs and on the other side of the house, I use my laptop which is wireless to the network. I also have a 46" hidef tv hooked up to a blu ray player and also connected to the network with a wireless adapter. I use Netflix to stream movies and seem to be having a problem with the signal in this room, both on the tv and my laptop. I sometimes only have 2 bars on my laptop and frequently get disconnected to the internet. When I am streaming movies or tv series, I get frequent stops and starts.
I am guessing that the signal is just not strong enough to reach this far from the router. Would switching to an N router be better for streaming? Would another G router downstairs solve my problem?
