Cisco WAN :: 1812j Won't Reset Caller Time Out Parameter

I am having a problem about the caller time out.#dialer idle-timeout 180 either..So the ISDN call will be disconnect after 180 sec.However even there is traffic on the ISDN line, it will disconnect after 180 sec.For example I PING -t command to the destination IP address, it will start dialing out after I run the PING command from srouce PC, but it will disconnect after 180 sec even continue to PING.I checked the remaining time by the command #show caller timeouts.It won't reset the remaining Timer parameter. I am having an issue with Cisco 1812j Router.
I have 2 1812j router. One router I accidentally lost the password so I reset the password as following link. [URL]
After that I could not submit "dialer" command. Like this.
c1812j-01(config)#int bri0c1812j-01(config-if)#d?dampening default delay descriptiondot1q dot1x down-when-looped dxi
c1812j-01(config-if)#
There is no choice to use "dialer" command.
The other Router is as below which looks ok.

I guess I did something wrong to reset the unit.

I have a E3000 with newest firmware that has a VOIP by Velcom. It's a Grand stream HT–286.My device is working perfectly with the router. Can call and recieve calls. the caller ID (Name and number that appears is accurate). The only problem is the caller ID's time and date are always wrong.When I unplug device, it goes back to Jan 1 and time 12:00am.Any call I then get is wrong.
In the router, I've enabled SIP ALG. And the firewall is only filtering ident (port 113) and Anonymous Internet requests.The device has a hard coded internal IP (192.168.123.110). and I reserve the IP using mac filtering.The device has an administration page that is unavailable to users as it's locked by a password. On this page has an NTP server setting that the device uses to get it's time/date.I see on the information page of the device that iot's registered to a sip server.The company is saying that it's a firewall issue. I'm not too sure how to proceed.

I have DIR-655, 1.33NA. Recently, I noticed the clock in the router was off, so I wanted to correct it. Each and every time I go through the steps to reset the clock, using time server or clone computer time, or manual reset, after the save settings and reboot of the router, i find the router still displays the wrong time, and frequently reverts itself to a time on Feb 22, 2012. Same problem for trying to reset the DST settings, turning automatic time from server on and off, changing the time server polled. Additionally, I have forced the router to factory settings and rebuilt all of my configuration no less than 4 times.
So, since I recently had to trade out the cable modem because Cablevision fried it with their 'system upgrade', I'm also wondering if the same shenanigans also damaged the router.

Every time I switch on one of our laptops it will not connect, once the router is restarted it works fine. We have 4 other devices which happily connect to the wireless connection first time.

I have 3 WAP321, all set to uk time zone, all the settings restor apart from the time on reboot that defaults back to 1999 despite NTP server listed, interestingly have to manually reset time to present before NTP will update it

it is normal for the WISM2 time to be resetted to default of 1 Jan 2000 after rebooting the 6506E if no NTP is configured?I had to configure it back to the correct time. If not, the APs will not come up.Also, does the ap or wlc keep track of the ap group the ap is provisioned to?

I am looking to upgrade an 1812J router to 1921/K9 router with 8-port double wide switch port.What's the best/easiest way to migrate the config? (We have access lists, vlans, etc. configured on the original device)Also, I'm looking for a way to prioritize traffic from an external site on the internal LAN. Reason being that I would like to prevent dropouts of interent streaming radio when Internal LAN traffic is high. If so, what's an easy way to implement on 1921?

Now I am tring to setup Cisco 1812j with ISDN Line.
Here is what I connect the device. (I am in Japan)
ISDN Line (NTT east) >> DSU(NTT east INS Mate V30Slim with S/T port) >> Cisco 1812j(S/T)
On DSU setting I enable DSU and Disable Terminator.
First of I would like to test outbound call. Here is the config.
interface BRI0 ip address 192.168.92.2 255.255.255.0 encapsulation ppp dialer map ip 192.168.92.1 name Router1 broadcast 080********(Cell Phone Number) dialer-group 1 isdn switch-type ntt isdn point-to-point-setup ppp authentication chap ppp chap password 0 CISCO ip route 10.92.0.128 255.255.255.248 BRI0 192.168.92.1
Then I test by ping with #debug dialer. #ping 10.92.0.129
And I could not receive a call by my cell phone landline either.

I have 1812j with ISDN line.Recently Accidentaly the ISDN Router was dialing every 1 minute because of the config was not right.It was too late to find out.And I got the expensive bill from the telephone company.
The idea is I want to stop dialing if the dialing cost is over than appropriate amount.For example, if dialing cost reach to $200, then stop dialing and alert to the system administator by E-mail or something.There is the way to limit the timed-out but this won't work for that.

We are running IOS12.4(5a) on a 2821 and have "ip inspect esmtp" enabled. We noticed that every day several emails end up in the postmaster account with the following message:
"A mail message was not sent due to a protocol error.
500 Firewall Error
The message that caused this notification was:"
On closer inspection the router logfiles show:
Apr 20 08:54:19 loghost 830747: 810587: Apr 20 08:54:19.441 BST: %FW-3-SMTP_UNSUPPORTED_PARAMETER: Unsupported SMTP parameter (Data Size (> 20000000)) from initiator (172.16.1.6:3537)
But the emails in questions are just a few kB. So what is going wrong. This is especially disturbing because the users don't get a notification that the email has not been delivered.

my college using WisM (WS-SVC-WISM-1-K9) as wireless controller , Cisco 1130 access point and Cisco Secure ACS 4.X Solution Engine 1113 Appliance as radius server. For username and password, we take it from existing Oracle database.
The problem is the password that store in oracle database is in encrypted format. Base from feedback from database administrator, the encrpytion is done by oracle - application layer and cannot be decrypt back.
To tackle this problem, we decide to use external script in php to verify the username & password...The php script will check directly from oracle database. If the username & password match, it will sent a boolean true (1) to the Wism controller and if the username & password not match, the script will send boolean false(0) to the Wism controller.
My question is, can WiSM module talk to php script? Can it receive boolean parameter from php script?

I'm trying to examine the ARP table on specific phy ports on a SG300 switch. The Cisco CLI guide shows this syntax:
show arp [ip-address ip-address] [mac-address mac-address] [interface-id]
Using the CLI and the "?" key to get assistance, I'm not successful:

I intend to connect a network built around the WRT54GS to Internet by passing through a second network who is already connected to Internet through the Orange Livebox-2 (French).I have a traditional home network with basic shares on the French Orange Livebox-2 and its WiFi.The computers runs XP - Pro .My ADSL access is normally through the Livebox-2 (Range of addresses 192.168.1.xxx) and I run DHCP Working Group "WORKGROUP".It works without problem (Internet and VoIP telephony) except the Wifi of the Livebox which is known as poor (range and stability).I also manages a small "pedagogical workshop" for the school who visit my mill.This network is available to my young visitors based on a (tower) server containing the libraries and teaching materials and its printer. It’s XP - Pro machine. and to allow a maximum of two laptops be WiFi connected.The second network is built around the Linksys router (wich integrates no modem, simply a router).The WRT54GS router (rev 6) whose firmware is original Linksys up to date.I am setting the two Wi-Fi (Livebox 6 Cnl) and Cnl 4 on WRT54GS and different keys (this is manageable without difficulty).It has its server DHCP and Wi-Fi to connect their machine.What about the name of this second network group ? Currently “WORKGROUP” as well.I am setting a range different on the router WRT54GS (192.168.2.xxx) and enabled the DHCP.This "educational" network works perfectly when alone and separated from the "home" network and doesn’t get connected to Internet…I want to connect this router Linksys WRT54GS rev6 cascading through the Livebox-2. Share Internet via the Livebox-2 access.What about functionality?What is the connection to setup ?Should it be simple physical connection with a cable between the yellow ethernet port "2" of the Liveboxbox and the "Internet" connector of the Linksys router? I am designing a network for my client where I have to implement a 10 Gig end to end connectivity. The major factor of concern from my management is about scalability (space to include more 10Gig servers as the nodes grow up). I have suggested Cisco 5596UP with 2232 PP as this gives ample amount of 10Gig ports. The setup has to be implemented across 2 different datacenters located 40 Kms apart, connected with 10Gig DC Interconnect.
I understand that Cisco Nexus 2232 is a Layer 2 Only switch and would need to communicate with parent 5K switch very frequently. Is it necessary to have the 2K and 5K pair in the same datacenter or in proximity? Is it possible to have the SFP uplinks connected to the DC interconnect? Because we have two datacenters located 40 Kms apart and having 1*Layer 3 - 5K switch at DC A with Layer 2 - 2K nexus Switch at DC B will be cost effective. We do require more 10Gig ports and not much requirement on Layer 3 usage. What are the type of communication that would be much frequent between 2K and 5K?

I just bought a WAP321 Wireless AP. I wonder why it cannot sync with our time server automatically. Every time I reboot it, the system time become "Fri Dec 31 1999 12:00:00 UCT". I have to do the sync manually by clicking on the "Save" button under the menu Administration > Time Setting.

Ciso 1941 router frozen once a day, sometimes after 2 to 7 days. When the router frozen, no internet connection and cannot login/ping ethernet ports. I can login to console port and copy the error messages below. Reload the router and it will return back to normal operation. Re-installed IOS but still the same.

I have WRT54G2 router. All settings are more-less default and the behavior is following.You start up the router. If you do not connect wireless device within 10 minutes, then you have to restart the router.You have assigned IP via wifi, and when you connect cable device to the router, the wifi PCs are disconnected.

I recently purchased a X2000 ADSL modem/router combination. For some reason the current time will not stay set to the time zone. Rebooting clears the discrepancy for a short time before it drops an hour exactly. I'm in the central time zone and the setting are correct on the basic setup.?

Is the WAG320N iPv6 compatable ? ,or could it be with a firmware update ?.Is the X2000 in the same boat in iPv6 terms as th WAG320N ?.Is there a way of retrieving "UPTIME" / "DSL connection time" information from the WAG320N and also line attenuation stats etc.Wouldn't need the above but poor isp needs keeping an eye on.

AI have a Dir-825 router. The 5GHz is turned off and the wirless is on G/N. I have shawcable for my isp and my firmware is 2.06 and its a Rev B Router. I also have Qos Engine on for allowing me to have 2 xboxes on Open NAT.problem is my wireless signal for some wired reason is VERY weak. A while ago it used to work really far way outside. It was around 150ft distance at 4 bars. Now for some reason I can't even go upstairs without getting a 1 or 2 bar signal.
