I have a 3560x switch with the flash formatted . I have tried to solve the problem by copying the IOS file to the flash. But the boot failed either .I have tried to copy the same IOS by the Xmodem, The boot failed again.My question is how to fixed the boot issues after the flash was formatted?

Trying to add the windows anyconnect to the list of usable software for clients and that error happened. What is going wrong? I assume I dont have enough RAM...
Trying to copy the system image file from the sup-bootflash to a new 64MB ATA flash card. Yes the software can support the 64MB card.
The ATA flash card was formated successfully, however I cannot copy the system image to it so that it can boot after a power loss.
The command I tried was: console(enabled) copy sup-bootflash: slot0:
The source filename was typed in as shown in the Show Verison command.The result was: Error opening slot0: no such device.I suspect that I am missing something obvious as I am new to Cisco Switches.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a cisco 3750 swicth which i want to load a new ios to but unfortunately there's no enough space on the flash. This means that i need to backup the cureent (old) ios to my tftp server but the command keeps failing. It always gives 'No such file or directory' error .The free space on the flash is 8mb and my new ios is about 11mb.I also went inside the directory where the old is and inputed the same copy command but to no avail.Below are some of the command failure on the swicth:

When I use ASDM or the CLI to copy (ftp) files from my management station to flash on my ASA5520. I get to 99% and then the gui or cli window hangs.
The ASA itself completely freezes i.e. no traffic in or out until I kill the transfer window and then it may reboot
[and yes, there is more than enough free space on the flash file system for the files]

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Cisco ASA 5510. I am trying to copy large files between DMZ and INSIDE network and it is copying at awfully a slow speed. I thought it might have been related to duplex mismatch but it doesn't seem to be. DMZ interface is set at 100 full duplex. I programmed the port on the managed switch where the DMZ uplink is connected to be 100 full duplex. I even hard set the NIC on server to be 100 full. Nothing worked. So, I come to a conclusion it isn't the duplex mismatch but there gotta be something else on Cisco ASA. I was googling for this issue and came across it could be a QoS policy. Now, checking my ASA I see a any to any global service_policy where it is defined to inspect certain protocols where 'netbios' is one of them (among others such as 'ftp', 'tftp', etc. Could the slow copying be related to the above policy? Could there be a bandwidth limitation between DMZ and INSIDE interface? How do I check?

View 10 Replies View RelatedI have wrt610n that i have wd 1 tb drive hooked to usb port and when i try to copy large folder/files to it, i get the dreaded- cancel, try again skip and it locks up solid. i have treied all settings in these and other forums. i have tried two different brand size hard drives, i have tried wireless and wired and nothing. is there a fix for this. i have latest firmware on everything, i have everything set tweaked best as they can and not one things makes a differance. all i get from linksys is try this try that. is there a way to copy large files to hd first via the pc then hook back to the router to see the files?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Cisco 7204 vxr router that does not have a valid image on the boot flash or on the pcmcia card (disk 2). I tried everything i could to try and get the router to recognize the flash but it keeps giving me a magic card error. I'm losing my mind slowly but surely.
The router boots into Rommon every time and the Rommon options for this router are horrible. No tftpdnld option. Can I get this router to boot from tftp, from Rommon?
Every time I delete the directory flash and reinstall it, I get an error:
Error loading "flash:c2950-i6q4l2-mz.121-12c.EA1.bin"
Error loading "flash:c2950-i6q4l2-mz.121-12c.EA1.bin" Interrupt within 5 seconds to abort boot process.
That is the message I get. It's set to NO manual boot, but it keeps making me manually boot it. I am at a loss, I've done 3 switches and they all keep doing the same thing.

I want to delete the first file c2600-i-mz.122-5d in the flash. Not only delete but also reclaim the memory held by deleted file.I followed a link and i ended up with the c2600-i-mz.122-5d marked as deleted in the flash but the memory was not reclaimed.When I restarted the router, it went to ROMMON mode. This is my understanding when router tried to boot from the flash, It tried to load the first file in the flash. Since the file was marked as deleted therefore Router went to ROMMON mode.Now my question is how could I delete the first file and reclaim the memory on 2600 router?

Sh ver command output lists the correct ios that the router used for booting and it says that the ios is stored in flash but when i give "sh flash" command it doesn't display the ios file. Maybe the flash is corrupted or damaged in some way? In the attached file is the output from the "sh ver" and "sh flash" commands.

i recently bought a new Supervisor Engine 720 WS-SUP720-3B and 48-port 10/100/1000 RJ45 EtherModule WS-X6148A-GE-45AF. Once i fired it all up i got this error %C6KPWR-SP-4-UNSUPPORTED: unsupported module in slot 2, power not allowed: Unknown Card Type. the System image file is "bootdisk:s72033-ipservicesk9_wan-mz.122-18.SXE6a.bin".

I was upgrading IOS on 4507 R with dual supervisor.I download the IOS on Active supervisior and did reboot.After reboot i login to switch then i got switch standby prompt.I found that after reboot active supervisior became standby supervisior.
Now new IOS is on standby supervisior.Need to confirm below..So this means that IOS does not syn within the supervisiors as compared to config right ?

A new Cisco 3750V2 (WS-C3750V2-48PS-S) running IOS 'c3750-ipbasek9-mz.122-50.SE5.bin' waspurchased to add to a stack of 3 Cisco 3750 (WS- C3750- 48PS-S) switches. The IOS on the stacked switches is 'c3750-ipbase-mz.122-25.SEB4.bin'.I loaded this IOS on to the new Cisco 3750V2 and deleted its original IOS. Boot up failed with error 'hardware not supported by firmware'. I am now trying to follow the recovery procedure but the I can only initialise the flash (flash_init) and there is no 'boot_helper' command to load the boot helper files. There is no option to rum 'copy xmodem' so I cannot upload the original IOS image via xmodem on hyperterminal.
