y newly purchased 886VAW won't sync. The link ( ISDN ) I'm running it off from runs nicely on my crusty-trusty 803. I linked the box with the cables supplied against the splitter as usual but can't seem to get a stable CD light ( constantly flashing ). The box is intended to run against ADSL (with VDSL to come in a few days ).

I have begun moving NTP from our 6500 to 4 Nexus 5k as part of a core upgrade. The Nexus will act as our internal NTP server for all switches. Any switches that are on the same vlan as the Nexus have no issues syncing NTP from them. However any switch that has to have the traffic routed to the Nexus is showing that the time source as insane.
The configuration on our Nexus is as follows the Nexus are .11,12,13 and 14: ntp peer 172.24.1.12 ntp peer 172.24.1.13 ntp peer 172.24.1.14 ntp server 192.43.244.18 clock timezone CST -6 0 clock summer-time CDT 2 Sun Mar 2:00 1 Sun Nov 2:00 60

This same configuration worked when the switches were configured as NTP Peers to our 6500 (172.24.1.1). The ip for the 6500 has been moved to an HSRP address across the Nexus so I have pointed the switches at the individual IP for each Nexus.
Here is a debug ntp packet ouput from one of the 3560s: .Mar 7 17:21:22: NTP: xmit packet to 172.24.1.11: .Mar 7 17:21:22: leap 3, mode 3, version 3, stratum 0, ppoll 64 .Mar 7 17:21:22: rtdel 2445 (141.678), rtdsp C804D (12501.175), refid AC180101 [Code].....
I have problem with syncing Nexus and NTP server. MGMT IP adress of Nexus is 10.24.130.137 and address of NTP server is 10.242.32.12, there is full routing and NTP readability between Nexus and NTP but Nexus is UN synced:

I captured traffic with wire shark and see something strange in NTP Packet: "Reference ID: Un identified reference source '...'"
I have one Catalyst 2960 on same sub net and it's synchronized with same NTP without any problems. Here is snapshot of wire shark capture:
P.S. Don't bother about malformed packet, it's probably because of using ERSPAN.
ACS5.2 time sync breaking once in near around one month and not able to authenticate after that .I am using domain controller (Windows Server 2008 R2) as NTP server for ACS .
What is the reason for it , is there any bug in 5.2 release or do i need to configure a thired device and point as NTP for ACS and domain controller.
I have a HG-521 router which is syncing at 8724kbps, but it is slow loading pages. My isp is talktalk .

I have small WiFi home network based on WAG120N router. Two Macs, iPad, iPhone, two iPods etc and, unfortunately, endless series of problems. Devices can't see each other - iPad can't see iPhone and vice versa. Syncing of data between devices sometimes works but most of the time it don't. And so on, and so on... I have to restart WiFi on Mac and on iPhone to sync i.e. iBank data. PhotoSync between iPad and iPhone doesn't work but once (?!) it did.
i have a problem with my adsl line connected on a HWIC-ADSL on router 2901 it was working good until yesterday the atm interface is down but the interface dialer is up .i connected this line into home adsl modem and the line is working good?
I need to configure ADSL on my 837 Router with simple configuration. The WAN IP address is dynamic from my ISP. I checked many websites and found different configurations everywhere. I don't know which is best suited for me. I used SDM and configured ADSL. When i checked the configuration from console i found that there is atm0.2 and dialer 2 configured with my settings. I cannot understand what is the purpose of atm0.2 and dialer 2 when atm0 and dialer0 are there. Is there a doc on ADSL config on 837?

I've got a 2911 with a primary ethernet link to the ISP, with BGP running over it. There's also an ADSL module in it, which will connect into the same ISP AS. how do i configure BGP over the ADSL so that it sits there doing nothing until the primary link fails? Do i need to setup a new instance of BGP with a different AS on the router or can it sit in the same AS as the primary link?
I am installing a Cisco 887 to a ADSL2 Circuit and I cannot connect to the ADSL eventhough the show interface shows that both the ATM0.1 and Dialler 0 is up.

I am new using cisco router 2600, i want to use dmz like adsl modem to direct ip public to ip lan like 180.15.22.x.x to ip lan 192.168.1.2 ( lrouter mikrotik ) outside to inside so when i call ip public then forrward to mikrotik
Where I can find the change logs for the ADSL Firmware's.I realize each firmware comes with its individual bug fixes, however there is usually a significant difference between the shipped firmware and latest firmware available.i.e. the 877m is shipped with 3.0.14 and the latest is 3.0.33. We have a handfull of miscellaneous issues, across a variety of hardware and customers, and would like to scan through the change logs to see if any of these issues were addressed by a previous bug fix.
I am configuring a 1841 router for use in small out office. I will use the s0/0/0 for main WAN T1 connection. I then wanted to use the ATM0/1/0 WIC-1-ADSL card as a failover. I am using weighted static routes for failover. Fe0/0 is LAN interface. When I go into SDM and look at the ATM interface it says this configuration is unsupported?
1. Can't I just get a DSL modem and connect it to fe0/1 and not use ATM WIC and use below for failover? 2. If I have to use ATM WIC what needs to be configured for it to work with Att aDSL?
convert a few connections from ADSL to FTTC but would like not to have to replace the Cisco 857 router already installed. To achieve this I would need to allocate one of the Ethernet ports as the WAN interface and configure PPPOE for authentication.
does Cisco 877 router support DSL (not ADSL?). i have tried connecting a dsl line and cant get ATM interface to come up - username and password are correct.alternative option: Can i get cisco 877 to form a ipsec tunnel using LAN port (not dialer interface) ? basically i want this 877 to act like asa 5505 where i can connect a LAN cable coming out from DSL router?
My professor have asked us to do an IOS upgrade for a Cisco 827 ADSL Router. But I´am having problems to find the appropiate IOS image. The router original IOS is c827-y6-mz.121-1.XB and it supports routing protocols like rip bgp eigrp ospf is-is, etc.
Now, we have to find a newer IOS release that supports the same amount of routing protocols. This Router has only 24 MB DRAM and 8 MB Flash. We have tried with a IP PLUS/FW/IPSEC release 12.3(26) but when I write : route ? it only shows eigrp, odr and rip.
I am searching for a newer release that fits in those 24 MB and which has the other need routing protocols like ospf, bgp, etc.

On the tests in WAG-s all ports are forwarding on WRVS and I open 8080 for Remote Management in WRVS. I can get acces to bouth WRVS by Remote Management from outside networks. I make in bouth WRVS client vpn, but when I want connet by OpenVPN Cilent, I have access for few seccend and I get notificatin that the network not respond. Some time i get connection for long time.

When I change ADSL to bridge mode the VPN tunels are working and OpenVPN Cilent connect normaly. But I thing that the solution with adsl mode bridge isn't safely like forwarding ports and routing.
We have a fairly major problem with some of our Cisco 877 units (5 in all). All are running 15.2(2)T2 in order to make use of zone-based firewalls and virtual reassembly, and all are exhibiting the same problem. When our ADSL line drops this si shown in syslog

The "no retrain. sleep 20 seconds" messages continue forever more until somebody power-cycles the router - which is a bit inconvenient as two are 300 miles away. Surprisingly, our event manager applet isn't triggering the reload either, which defeats the object.
I have a bit of an issue setting up an Cisco 837/SOHO ADSL Router.
Basically what it is is that my Broadband router isnt doing its job very well, and the last piece of the puzzle in the server area is to upgrade the router, and I have with this. Now. I hve followed the setups as per cisco's guidlines very well and doen alot of research on the CLI commands, I have access to the router and have setup the system.
My broadband in the office is Orange/EE and its PPPoA. I hvae all the settings, and such and have followed a set of commands that apply to BT broadband but, It simply hasnt worked in my case. Any CLI commands to setup this router so i'll replace my business livebox.
I found that ADSL is packet switching type of communictaion. Definition for circuit switching is "A type of communications in which a dedicated channel (or circuit) is established for the duration of a transmission."In practical, telco line connects to the ADSL modem/router through which we are communicating to internet. In this context I have some doubt. The telco line which is connected to our ADSL modem is not shared with any other device ,connects only to the CO of the telco where we get the internet connection. That means the line which connects to the modem is dedicated upto CO.then it becomes circuit switching or not upto the CO.
While i was looking around in my stuff in the office i have found a Cisco 877W ADSL router .. so i have decided to use it instead of the one i am using now which is provided by the ISP that's made by Huawei.Anyway i have a good knowledge about basic cisco router configuration but i had never configured ADSL Cisco router, so i looked around on Cisco website, and i was lucky to get this two linksCisco DSL Router Configuration and Troubleshooting Guide - Step-by-Step Configuration of PPPoA with a Dynamic IP Address - Cisco Systems[CODE]
I have a Cisco 877 ADSL router which won't let me play with my VPNs like I used to in pre-Cisco days.I have a VPN server which resides on the inside of the network which used to get it's L2TP as well as PPTP tunnels passed straight through the ADSL router. No problems there with the old router. Now I opened the relevant ports for both TCP and UDP on the 877, but VPN simply won't establish when trying to connect from the outside. Process of getting the 877 to stop wanting to take charge of things VPN and just pass them off to an inside server?
I need to VPN into my work from my laptop on the private side of the 877. This works fine until after authentication, then the VPN connection goes silent, no traffic going through. Works fine when for instance using my iphone hotspot to connect through from my laptop. It's only not working when the 877 is in the equation.
can a Cisco 2811 router bundle 2 or 4 ADSL lines ? Reason am asking, we need a device that would be able to bundle 2 or 4 ADSL lines from ISP so that we can you it as backup link in-case the company Internet link does down.
I'm trying to set up an IPSec tunnel between 2 3845 routers that each sit in a private LAN behind an ADSL modem. Each modem does have a static public IP address from the ISP.
Thus:
Cisco 3845-1 <-> ADSL modem <-> WAN <-> ADSL modem <-> Cisco 3845-2 3845-1 Gi 0/0 - private ip l NAT
[code]....
So I would like to set up IPSEC between the GI 0/0 interfaces on the 3845's.
We have a number of 2651XM with WIC-1ADSL. These are supplied by another company and we do not have access to the configs. We are told that the maximum througput from the ADSL WIC to the FastEthernet 0/1 is 2.5Mbps ( "it's a backplane issue" ), even though the ADSL speed reported by the router on the external interface is 8MbpsT
I have a number of Cisco 1801 routers connected to BT UK’s ADSL2+ Annex-A Wholesale Broadband Connect [WBC] services. The routers are experiencing connectivity issues. There is a cisco product bulletin that defines v4.0.0.18 as the version of ADSL Firmware required on the Cisco 1801 when connecting to this BT service.I would like to upgrade the ADSL Firmware for these routers but I cannot find v4.0.0.18 for the Cisco 1801 on CCO. All the 4.0.0.18 downloads appear to be for various flavours of 800. The Cisco product bulletin shows the 1801 as having the same chipset as the 857,867,877 and 887. Can I use the Firmware from one these 800 models? The MD5 Hash for the code suggests all of the these 800 model use the same code?
I can not apply the LLQ to ADSL ATM interface. the system take the command with out any error message, but no in the show running config. Any Cisco link can explain this? [code]
I am trying to get my Cisco 2811 to authenticate four DSL connections and load balance them by attaching the four DSL to a switch (each DSL going to a seperate VLAN) and then trunking all four VLAN's to a ethernet interface on the 2811. My issue, I can not get more than one DSL to authenticate at a time, for example Dialer1 will connect and then it will disconnect and Dialer2 will connect, etc... I have the modems in bridge mode and I am using seperate user/pass for each DSL account and I have verified that the user/pass are correct.
Below is my config from the router and a couple of messages that came across the console.
