We have a 3845 router, IPBaseM, ver 12.4(15) that seems to accept an SFP (GLC-LH-SM). It does not show up on a show run, or Sh Ip int brief. If I type show tech-support | include sfp, it returns "sfp_transciever_cod 0x2 (1000BaseLX)".How do I go about configuring it for Ethernet Private Line access?
I have two routers that have problems with the fans. It is a c3725 and c3845 (Fan 3). I would like to know/confirm what are the products of these fans:
c3845: CISCO3845FANASSY= Cisco 3845 Fan Assembly and Bezel c3725: CK-3725-FAN (external product) In c3845 can be exchanged only the Fan 3? In c3725 the CK-3725-FAN work?

When I hover over the network/internet icon it tells me that I have a local connection only and can't get online. When I try ipconfig/release is says it can't perform the operation while the media is disconnected. It also tells me that "an error occurred while releasing interface Loopback Pseudo-Interface 1: The system cannot find the fie specified".

Is there a way I can find out the amount of bandwidth i'm using on a particular interface on a 4507 cisco multi-layer switch? It is a gig port and I have it setup for monitoring (spanning) and I see packets being dropped in the "Total Output Drops" area. To me it looks like it must be exceeding the 1gig limit but I don't know a way to check to make sure. I also have the queueing strategy set to FIFO.
We have 3560 switch with following IOS. version 12.2(55)SE3 and image name is C3560-IPSERVICESK9-M. On one of the interface we need to know what are traffic is flowing.

this might sound straight forward, but every other pc or console can find and connect to my router. This issue seems to happen about once every few months, sometimes it comes back by itself and reconnects completely fine.
There isn't a "user limit" on our router.Wireless adapter is dell wireless 1505 draft 802.11n wlan mini-card.
Have restarted PC and uninstalled and reinstalled the card.I tried to set the i.p address to static but it says "adapter disconnected" so won't allow me to edit any settings, despite it being able to find neighbour's wireless very easily.
i have a 1841 cisco router and i recently purchased a 1 port HWIC wan interface card. My problem is that I cannot see the interface in my config file. Is there something i am missing?
I have a Cisco ASA 5505 and I have my internal and external interfaces configured but I currently cannot ping from the inside to an IP Address on the outside. I had this setup and working and I have another set of equirement that I am replacing that is working with my service provider so I know it is a configuration issue. When I ping 4.2.2.2 for example I get:
Destination host unreachable
Do I need to add a static route from my inside interface to my outside interfaces?
Is it possible to set up a WAN interface on a FastEthernet interface of a Cisco 877 Adsl Router ?Due to my ISP, i've to use an external VDSL modem and must connect it to my cisco 877 router (and leave it's adsl interface unused). But i don't know how to set up a wan port, other than the adsl interface itself (dialer0), on my cisco.

Needing to bridge from my wic interface to an ethernet interface on a 2900 series router so that I can pass through the ip address given to the WIC, to my ASA so that I don't have to give my ASA a private range address. (Just like a service provider might do when bringing a T1 with managed router in to my prem)
my new nintendo3ds says i need a WEP security key to connect with my moms laptop. but i have no idea where to fine the WEP CODE. is it on a modem? and i have no idea what a router is but my ds doesnt say anything about needing one because my moms laptop is wireless?
when you have a device that you don't know it's IP what do you do to find it out, I normally just plug directly into the device and use nmap to scan the ranges I think it might be, but that takes quite some time?
ok i've been through the ringer here searching dozens of sites and stil no luck... my routers access point is 192.168.1.1 and states that a cannot alter the wpa2 personal to a wep or wep enterprise because it isn't supported.
I was gifted with a Roku for my tv & in order to set it up I need the WEP# from my Cisco Linksys wireless router, but I don't know where to find it. My brother's wireless router has the WEP # right on the label but I don't see one on the Cisco Linksys info label
I have a Cisco 877 at home and need to find out what it's public IP was yesterday. I turn it off at night and usually I get the same public IP based on my ISP's lease, but can't be sure, anyway I can check this?
I'm trying to find if the 3500 AP will contains an 802.1X supplicant, so the AP can be identified and authorized by an ACS when it is connected to a secure access switch.I can find plenty of info on WPA2 & 802.1X for the wireless clients, but I'm struggling to find anything on 802.1X for the AP itself.
so I have my router that's connected to outside world (internet) and it's also connected to my company.I want to create a nat rule that basically says when I go to my company don't nat but when I go on the internet nat.now I do this with this statement [code] I want to do the same thing but this time with this rule. ip nat inside source static tcp 10.181.20.84 22 interface FastEthernet4 2222 this rule doen't work from the company to my router but it works from the internet to my router...
I just can't find the way to change this ip nat rule and use my same 110 ACL.basically with this last rule when I try to connect to my router from the company it tries to nat it back to the ip of the router interface ... it should not nat when I go from the company but nat when I connect from the outside internet.
I have recently had to rebuild the cookie information for a cisco 877 series router due to it being erased by an electrical surge.
I've successfully got it running again by copying the cookies from an identical router (obviously changing the serial numbers and so forth so it passes its verification checks).
The last piece of information I need is the Chassis MAC Address. I don't want to use the one from another router since there will probably be conflicts.
I tried following this Field Note, even though it isn't specifically for my model and it didn't work.
[URL]
how I can get the mac address from the system somehow?
We have recently deployed a wlc5508 & some 40+ 3502i APs at the location. In the wlc I notice quite a few "rogue AP" listed with ssid's.
Is there a way within the wcs or wlc to determine better if any of these rogue AP are on my Lan?If I can locate the mac address of the ethernet port on the rogue AP I can track the port down on the appropriate switch & shut it down.
