Cisco Switching/Routing :: IE3000 With 100LX SFP To IEM-3000-8FM On SMF?
May 23, 2010I'm trying to spec out some switches in our industrial environment. I only have single mode fibre to deal with. I'm curious if a IEM-3000-8FM module will connect to a 100LX SFP using a single mode fibre. I know the IEM-3000-8FM module is 100FX for multi-mode fibre. I know they both use 1310nm wave length but i'm not sure if they will work together?

Jan 6, 2013I have a 4503-E on my work bench. It's been out of production for a year or so. I started working on it last week. I think I may have cause a boot up problem. It comes up to ROMMON, but then I need to type "boot" to get it to come up all the way.

Apr 2, 2013I am trying find out what the nominal power draw is for the following switch. The installation manual and data sheets says that the power draw for the units are 15.1W and 15.7W maximum at 18VDC. I am trying to use the switch for a solar application (12VDC) and would like to find out what the nominal draw would be when the device is in standby or if all of the ethernet ports are unused. I plan to use the two fiber SFP's and one copper port.

Oct 31, 2011I share a modem and router with my building, and connect to the internet using an ethernet cable which plus right into the wall in my apartment. When I hover over the network/internet icon it tells me that I have a local connection only and can't get online. No changes were made to my computer between it working and not working - I have not installed any new software and the modem+router have not been changed.
When I try ipconfig/release is says it can't perform the operation while the media is disconnected. It also tells me that "an error occurred while releasing interface Loopback Pseudo-Interface 1: The system cannot find the fie specified".

Jul 26, 2011I am working on a Drupal site which is on a virtual server (the way it's been explained to me). I've been told I need to work with it through webdev. So I can copy a file off the server and onto my local machine. I make my edits and then try to upload it to the server. I get locked out with the message: Error 0x80070021: The process cannot access the file because another process has locked a portion of the file. I have tried shutting down my code editor, opening and closing the connection, tried different methods of reaching the server (Cyberduck and through Window's map network feature) to no avail. What can I do?

All files are downloaded to the Media center pc. I recently changed the download location to drive D to alleviate stress on the operating system drive. Usually when I wanted to transfer files from the Media center to my pc I would go through computer - network - media - location of file. I have found I can't do this to access drive D on the remote Media. Is there a more efficient way than copying files from drive D to C on media just so I can pull them to my main pc? I have tried copying while in remote and pasting on my main pc desktop. It worked great for a 1kb file, but fails every time at 5gb files.

I'm using Cisco Prime 4.2 and VLAN fetch for all devices is currently going over TFTP. Devices managed by LMS are 2960, 4500, 6500 series. All devices are using SSH v2. ACS server is configured on all devices and SSH credentials are OK.
This is the error message I get when i select SCP: "SCP user credentials not available. Configure the SCP user credentials and try again Action: Check if protocol is supported by device and required device package is installed."
Is it possible to use SCP as VLAN fetch protocol? How to configure this on a devices and how to enter SCP credentials in LMS?

When we start the server the EDS-GCF log file size start to increasing rapidly until it consumes up all free space and it only stops when we stop the Daemon Manager service. I tried to do the pds how command but I get no output from it. I included the portion of the EDS and EDS-GCF log files. i searched and didn't find the cause of this error.
