Cisco WAN :: 3725 Replace 2Mb Serial Connection With Further 100Mb Connection

I have a Cisco 3725 running IOS 12.3. I have three WAN connections (2 x 100Mb and 1 x 2Mb serial) and I need to replace the 2Mb serial connection with a further 100Mb connection. However, I have not got any spare 100Mb sockets.My plan is to use a switch that supports VLANs, connect the three WAN connections to the switch, each in their own VLAN, then connect the switch to one port on the router, configuring the switch port as a trunk (so that it passes all three VLANs across the link) and configuring the router so that for that single Ethernet interface, it has three subinterfaces each configured for a VLAN that matches the VLAN used for the corresponding WAN connection.
 
I am a bit rusty on my IOS so I wanted to run this all past the community for feedback. [code] Any thoughts on whether or not that will work? Are there any commands from the original interface configurations that I CANNOT use when moving them to a subinterface? I'm thinking that the speed & duplex commands need to be removed?

We're getting "Connaction Timeout / Connection Failure" error messages several time per day. Here is our setup:
 
Verizon FiOS Internet (ONT Box) --> Cisco ASA 5505 --> EdgeMarc 4500 Router --> Cisco 300-24G Switch --> Dell PE1950 Servers
 
From past few months, we keep getting Connection Timeout and Connection Failure error messages in our vendor application which connects to SQL Server 2005. Also Terminal Server 2003 keep disconnecting for every few hours.After several days of troubleshooting, we come to know that this Cisco ASA 5500 is not working properly. When I access the ASDM, it shows several warning messages.I know there is a setting option to configure TimeOut, but is there anyway to test and track the ASA 5500 regarding this Timeout issues?

I am trying to confgure a VPN connection on a Cisco ASA 5505, and I am supposed to translate the inside network from 10.200 76.0 to host 10.1.4.204, and then from that scheme establish a VPN with the host 66.179.80.108 on network 192.168.50.0/24. I was told that this Cisco ASA appliace would be able to translate the network address as a mask in order to make the necessary connection with the other site connection.

Losing Connection - Wireless Network Connection 2 Does Not Have A Valid IP Configuration?

I have an Acer 7750G, running Windows 7,connected to our home network using a Dynex router. At the moment this is the only laptop in the house that is having problems with connectivity. Starting yesterday, it only connects intermittently. When I run diagnostics, it says the following problems have been fixed but it either solves the problem for a few minutes only or not at all: "Problem with wireless adapter or access point" or "Default gateway is not available".

IPV6 connectivity also shows 'no internet access' and sometimes IPV4 reports no internet. I've unplugged and rebooted the modem and router a few times but that hasn't solved the problem.

Edit: I ran troubleshoot again, and it says the following issue is not fixed: "Wireless Network Connection 2 does not have a valid IP configuration".

so I would like to know if I have a cisco 800 series lets say with interface fa0/0 being my public interface.can I have on this interface an easyvpn connection to a hub and a crypto map xyz connection to another hub?all the tests I've done using gns3 indicate no. when I have both on the same interface only eazyvpn works. when I remove the eazyvpn from the interface then site to site works.I know with a crypto map I can have different tunnels but my question is a crypto map and an eazyvpn on the same outside interface can it work.if yes, do you have a configuration example of the 2 hubs and the spoke?

I just bought a "DLink Xtreme N Gigabit Router DIR-655"  I configured it correctly.  It works well for the wireless connection but my Lan connection (wired connection) does not work.  The Lan computer connects to the router but cannot access the internet. All of my machines work OK with a Netgear G router, including the Lan computer.

I have problem with my Internet connection. Recently my Internet connection often get slow. There are 3 connections on the server running Windows Server 2003. 1st is External, 2nd is Internal and 3rd is VPN (please see attahement). There is nothing to do with External and Internal connections, and everytime the Internet connection get slow, I have to disconnection VPN (connection) and connect it again.

Wireless Connection Stops After A Few Minutes Of Connection?

After connecting to the internet on my laptop, the internet connection will work great for 10 minutes or less than it slows down drastically or essentially not working at all. If I disconnect and reconnect it will work again but just for a short amount of time. The wireless connection works great on iPod, IPhone, and tablet. Downloaded Kaspersky Antivirus which said it fixed some viruses but internet got worse after that. Tried restoring the computer to factory settings and the internet stays connected for what seem a few minutes longer.

Browsers Lose Connection To Internet / Despite Still Having A Connection?

Every time I boot up my computer, everything will be working fine for about 5 -10 minutes, but after this, all my browsers will lose connection to the Internet. All of them: IE, firefox, chrome, even the steam browser, all of them just lose connection.The weird thing is, my net connection is perfectly fine: I can still play online games, still use online chat services, still open and use programs like utorrent. It's like something is just blocking all my browser connections.When I run a network troubleshooter, it says "your computer appears to be correctly configured, but the device or resource (Microsoft Corporation: Software, Smartphones, Online, Games, Cloud Computing, IT Business Technology, Downloads) is not responding."I googled this and came across some apparent fixes like flushing and re-registering my dns and restarting my modem, niether of which has worked.In addition, this problem is showing up on two totally separate shared networks and has only affected my computer. Other netwworked devices, like friends/families computers and my iPhone (which I am using to type this) work fine.

i have cable internet. and im supposed to get up to 15Mbps. but i only get that on a good day. i average around 10Mbps.but im paying $60 a month for the 15Mbps. i can get at&t u-verse at 18Mbps for $39.95 a month for 12 months. then it goes up to $44. does any one her use U-Verse? and do you think its a better deal then cable?

When I try connecting via anyconnect the logs (and anyconnect messages) state the connection "cannot be established due to no addresses being available for SVC connection'". The group etc has a dhcp scope assigned, (and this was working for the past year). I'm not sure what config changes (if any) he made before leaving.

I have an L2L VPN setup between two ASA 5505's. I can communicate across the VPN from either site without an issue. I'd like to be able to grant RA VPN users access to both LAN's but I'm not certain how to proceed (or if it's possible). I have split tunneling setup, and I've added both LAN subnets in the ACL. When I connect to either ASA via RA VPN, I can ping any host on the local subnet behind that ASA. However, when I try to ping hosts on the other side of the L2L VPN, it fails. I'm not sure if I have an ACL setup wrong, or if it's simply not possible.

Cisco 1811 device.  Working great with connection from TWTELCOM, trying to add 2nd connection from BRTHOUSE set SLA's and metrics but config still isn't working.  The connection won't come up and when I do show ip route ip address it doesn't show a metric so neither connection has a priority and the connection fails.  I want brighthouse to have priority as shown with SLA's but if brighthouse fails I want it to go back to twtelcom. I have recently installed SDM in order to access the internet with my 837 ADSL. I have configured the router's ethernet interface with ip address 10.10.10.1/24 (Default Gateway) and my PC to 10.10.10.2/24, I can both ping & telnet to the router from my PC, I also have pinged 8.8.8.8 on the router and that came up to 100%. But I am not getting the internet, I will show any configs from the router & post these for further information.

We recently switched from a ADSL2+ service to a 2Mb SHDSL link. Uploading images to our website is happening all day long, thus greater upstream bandwidth was required.
 
Our downloads are suffering somewhat, the upstream gets easily flooded and downloads start to trickle.
 
I have a SRP521W which has a few QoS options. The QoS Bandwidth control has upstream bandwidth set to 2048 Kbps. Now I don't know how to enforce anything. How to use the WAN strict high priority queue appriopirately.
 
The website has a static IP address, so I can target that in the rules to only use 80% of the bandwidth?Alternatively can I limit upstream traffic per user?

Cisco Firewall :: NAT On ASA 8.2 For Second ISP Connection

I'm working on a problem at the moment where I have 2 Internet connections each with their own Interface on an ASA running 8.2(5). What I want to be able to do is host different web sites on each ISP's ranges but I'm banging my head against a wall at the moment trying to either get the routing or NATing to work in a satisfactory way.
 
The default route is via one of these Internet connections and obviously the website hosted on this Interface is working fine.
 
To get another website hosted on the other ISP or interface - traffic is getting blackholed as it is being routed in the 2nd ISP interface and then trying to be routed back out the 1st ISP interface.
 
I thoguht I could overcome this using Policy Based Routing but ASA does not support this. I'm also aware that I can overcome this problem by upgrading the ASA code to 8.3 or 8.4 where the NAT will overide the Routing table
 
I'm vaguely thinking that there might be a way to overcome this using clever NAT but not been able to figure it out yet. A lot of other Forum posts have sugested that you can use Policy NAT (either Static or Dynamic) or a Dynamic NAT to get the second NAT working and overcome this routing problem but all of these options seem to define a specific source where I need to allow ANY Source on either connection. (Connections inbound to the webservers originating from anywhere on the Internet).
 
I toyed with the idea of Source NAT'ing traffic coming in on the 2nd ISP connection so that it would appear to originate from an IP in the same network. This would overcome the routing problem but not ideal as WebServer logs would see all connections originating from this IP as opposed to the real IP on the Internet.
 
My current (relevant) congfiguration looks something like this:
  
static (DMZ, EXTERNAL_ISP1) 192.168.1.1 10.0.0.1 netmask 255.255.255.255
static (DMZ, EXTERNAL_ISP2) 172.16.100.2 10.0.0.2 netmask 255.255.255.255

I would have thought that this is a fairly simple task to achieve but it seems not (at least not on ASA 8.2). I have attached a rough VSD to illustrate what I mean.

I'm pretty green with routing and firewalling so I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction.I'm trying to setup a remote access VPN for the off site employees we have. I would eventually like to have this setup to use either the cisco VPN client or the webVPN option, but this question is about my VPN client setup.I'm using a Cisco ASA 5505 at the head end and the Cisco VPN client 5.0.06.0160 on the client side.In the logs the client authenticates, grabs an IP, DNS and domain info and then drops the connection.

For those of you who are trying to connect your router to a Comcast modem, be sure to actually RESET the modem instead of just depowering it like it instructs you in the setup process. This should save a lot of trial and error.  Also unmark the MAC address cloning like the Cisco connect software does, then just renew IP and it should connect just fine.
