Cisco Wireless :: 5508 - Licenses Require Any Modification When Flashing?

We have a cisco services contract with IBM that supplies us access to the usb drivers, firmwares etc, and we have a Cisco 5508 6.x running ~30 Cisco 1252's, some 1231's and (potentially) some 1262's once the firmware update is done.
We have a base-count license(permanent) of 50AP's, no expiry
So I guess my questions are:
1) When flashing the new firmware - do the licenses require any sort of modification, or will they work as per normal
2) Are any serial numbers or codes required to be entered once the 7.0.98 firmware is installed?
3) I assume that the old firmware/config becomes 2nd in line to the primary boot option of the firmware during boot process?

After install the License for 25 AP more to a wlc 5508 with 100 AP base license and reboot WLC, the License base for 100 AP´s and this new one 25+, it's not anymore on the system, after reboot the WLC show 0 AP´s supported, and the only one license appear are 500 AP evaluation with Time expires.

I have 2 5508 that are currently running as active with 150 licenses each. I want to go to HA SSO can 100 of the licenses be relicensed to the primary since it only requires 50 licenses to convert an active license 5508 to standby HA SSO?

I have an RVS4000 running V2.0.2.7 firmware that gives me an "Invalid Character(s) Found" error message when I try to edit an existing ACL.
I'm trying to deploy 57 of these routers and would like to be able to use a pre-built config dropped onto each router.
I initially planned on editing the exported config with a find&replace for my local LAN addresses. Since that didn't work the next reasonable solution would be to edit the ACL list (much more tedious, but still better than hand-entering every ACL on all 57 devices).
when this bug will be addressed? Alternatively, if there is an offline configuration editing tool I would be one happy camper to have it!

I have a server (172.16.10.1) inside the LAN and IP of the server has been maped to public IP 41.219.130.10.
Topology
Server(172.16.10.1)
DNS Server (8.8.8.8) ----- Outside ASA Inside ----------- |
User (192.168.1.x)
Users are using Public DNS Server to resolve the domain. In this case, users will resolve the server domain to public IP address 41.219.130.10 instead of 172.16.10.1 that cause the server is unreachable for the users by default.So I enable DNS modification feature on ASA. DNS keyword has been add to static NAT clause. ASA suppose to modify the DNS record to change the public IP to private IP address. But it is not working.

Whenever I make a change to the tcp/ip settings in control panel (change dns, change ip), after clicking OK, my LAN connection turns to unidentified network. even after i change back to the default settings, i still can't back the connection. this not only happen when i change settings on the tcp/ip, after i install antivirus, vmware, i get yellow excalamation mark on the network icon in taskbar means no internet access. it seems that whatever changed made to the network, internet settings, it blocked the connections. how to get the connection back?

I would like to setup three Aironet 2602I-A-K9 WAP in my office. Being new to Cisco WiFi, it appeared that I HAVE to have a WiFi Controller to make this work. Is that a requirement that requires me to also purchase a WIFI controller?

I am getting a hard time in order to understand the real difference between the two types of context aware licenses for the MSE:
1 . AIR-CAS-1KC-K9 - Context Aware License For 1K Clients and Tags (RSSI based)
2. AIR-CAS-1KT-K9 - Context Aware License For 1K Tags(RSSI, Chokeponts and TDOA)
For a regular network without any devices with tags such as RFID, I understand I do not need to get the .2, only .1, even though the .1 also is shared with clients at 1K of each. Also, the .2 does not say clients, only tags and advanced features as TDOA. Going through the Q&A it does not clearly says the difference, when to use one or the other.

We have two WAP4410N access points that are behaving identically. When connected without an ethernet connection, the Power light comes on and stays on. However, as soon as you attach an ethernet cable, whether it's attached to anything on the other end or not, the LEDs on the devices start blinking - first the Power light, then the Wireless light, repeatedly. They continue to do this, even when the ethernet cord is removed.
In addition to this, I cannot ping the IP, even when the WAP directly connected to a PC in the same subnet. I tried a hard reset, but I can't even ping the default IP.
Both WAPS have a very basic configuration. Neither of them are running upgraded firmware.

I'm currently looking for a solution in order to restrict the modification of the host internal identity store (add or delete MAC host) per group. The default administrator roles does not include "per group restriction". Under the ACS I defined one group per department? My objective it to allow each department to access their ACS MAC database to add or delete MAC addresses as required.
How to restrict internal identity store per group?Do I need to create new roles? and how?I was not able to get an answer from the ACS ADMIN manual.

I am currently authenticating wireless clients using PEAP User Authentication through a Cisco Wireless LAN Controller and Cisco ACS 4.2, which points to a Microsoft Active Directory external database. This does not keep users from configuring thier personal devices with thier Active Directory login information and connecting to the corporate wireless network. I can setup a client to use a certificate, machine authentication and user authentication, but I havent been able to REQUIRE the certificate and or machine authentication to authenticate to my wireless network.
>I now have the Windows External Database Configuration, ACS External Database setup with Enable PEAP Machine Authentication and Enable machine access restrictions. With the client configuration set to use Computer Authentication, it passes the authentication through ACS (and AD), but the client can also be configured for User Authentication and also pass authenticaiton. Is there a way to only require Computer Authentication through a Cisco WLCCisco ACS?

Had this Dlink Air plus router with an wireless adator set up on with a PC running win Vista, but as the PC had problems I tried it with older XP PC and it worked fine for about 5 weeks but tonight the wireless adaptor on my desk has stopped flashing and I could not access the internet so I decided to try the Vista PC and it works fine on there, while it can get me online I would still like to fix the D Link to work with the older PC again, what is the problem as it is a faster more reliable PC

Remove PPPoe settings on Vista. I uninstalled the att software but the pppoe settings remain and my computer says my network is unidentified and will only allow local connection. My XP computer had no problem making the change but the Vista one keeps saying it is an unidentified network. I have tried turning everything off and then restarting the cable and then the computer but it does not work. I have a wireless adapter and can connect the Vista machine to the network with no problem but need a wired connection for games I play so I need to fix the wired problem. I am sure the settings the ATT software changed is the problem but I don't know how to get into the system to fix the problem. There is no router involved. The router is built into the cable modem.

If you look at the data sheet for the 5512-X the High Availability section states "Not Supported; ActiveActive or ActiveStandby" while the ASA 5515-X states "ActiveActive or ActiveStandby". What does "Not Supported" mean for the ASA 5512-X? Does this mean HA does not work, or that I need to purchase an additional license to use the HA feature?

I have a small office with about 20 people. I currently have a T1 line which feeds a Cisco ASA 5505. I would like to replace the T1 line with two (2) ADSL lines. I need a dual WAN switch/load balancer. I researched a bit and found that Cisco RV042 will probably work for me even though I don't need another VPN and would have to disable it.
My question: Is there anothe device from Cisco or others which will give me the dual WAN and load balancing but not the VPN piece. My assumption is that it would be a less expensive device if such an animal exists.

My internet has been dropping out over and over. Im connected via ether cable on my desktop with windows seven to my belkin router however on the router the wireless icon is flashing orange indicating something wrong. I rang my internet provider and they said its not them, when I troubleshooted the problem it came up with DNS server isnt responding. I tried looking through posts and tried restoring my router to factory default but nothing has worked.

I have installed a new motherboard in my destop, i purchased the same model(ms 6763 ver 1.0) but for some reason the driver for the ethernet controller hasnt installedThe motherboard didnt come with a driver disk. I would like to know how or where i can obtain said driver. I have tried a number of sites online via a diffferent pc (as mine at present wont go online as i cannot connect it to hub) but these sites want to install driver/hardware identifier software and as it is a different computer i want to install said driver this solution is no good to me
