Cisco Wireless :: WAP4410N - Get Snap Into Quick Start Guide?
Mar 27, 2013
any success using the stand on a WAP4410N? I have not been able to get them to snap into place as described in the Quick Start Guide.
Seems to be an extremely crude and very poorly implemented design. They fall off and the WAP frequently falls over. I expected much better from Cisco given the price.
I have a couple Dell R710 2U servers that came with the Dell quick rails. The rack I am trying to place them in is a 4-post open cabinet, but the depth of the posts are about an inch too short to allow the Dell quick rails to snap-lock to the square holes. Are there any 2U extenders I can attach to the back two posts of the cabinet to give the minimum length needed for the Dell quick rails to snap-lock? The extenders would also need to have the square holes.
We have a NETAPP nas box having two interfaces connecting to two fex's on 5ks. The 5ks are inturn connected to nexus 7k boxes. We have a 100mbps man link (LAN Extension). The netapp's two nics are grouped together to form a teaming type of environment. SNAPMirror replication is very poor at the rate 10mbps though the WAN speed is 100mbps and also the wan link is utilized only about 60mbps. What could be the problem. We tried removing storm unicast control 10 but with no effect.
I currently have 1 AP connected to the router via copper. The AP to AP link is over 802.11. I have attached a diagram reflecting the current topology.
The AP-to-AP link will come up utilizing B/G/N mixed mode; however, the connection is basically unusable. About 30% of the traffic is dropped, while the packets that do make it have a consistently volatile latency, anywhere from 15 to 1500 ms. I have had success using G-only and B/G mixed. The link is stable (I have had the best results with B/G). The problem is, I didn't buy the 2nd 4410N to run the G protocol. I would like to connect the APs running either B/G/N (hopefully negotiating to N) or N only. I am wondering if there is a certain configuration I can utilize (perhaps using WDS repeater or bridge versus Wireless Client/Repeater?), or a firmware upgrade set for release that can make this happen for me.
When I click on the pdf icons or the "User Guide" link on the E4200 product page, Firefox 5.0.1 pops open a new window, but it's blank. I can't see the pdf file. Usually, when I click on a link to a pdf, FF gives me the option of saving or opening the file.
Region : UnitedStates Model : TL-WDR4300 Hardware Version : V1 Firmware Version : ISP :
I can view numerous other PDF files from other websites, and even PDF files from TP-LINK, but, the User Guide for the TL-WDR3600 or the 3500 error out when opening in a web browser. If I right click and download them, they will download but then error out on opening.
I have a linksys E1200 router connected to a modem Zyxel P600 Series, and I suffer every 24 hours exact connections with the modem connected only works perfect, but with the router every 24 hours Connection signal is lost no or limited so look for a guide aver if set correctly.
WRVS4400N v2.0 2.0.0.8 QuickVPN 1.4.1.2 Vista Home Premium SP2 64-bit
Trying to connect from laptop through an AP to my WRVS4400N via VPN. Not having much luck...I get to "Activating Policy..." and then "Connection Error".I like this router thus far, I have been able to set up multiple BSSIDs and VLANs which has been very useful.
Is there a guide to setup a VPN connection using this router? I've follow the setup guide provided by cisco but I'm having issues. When attempting to connect using the quick vpn client, I get error messages.
Trying to setup Three networks all with different IP ranges.I assume I can create a new VLAN and associate that VLAN with one of the four available ports.
Port 1 can have 192.168.1.1 - 254, Port 2 can have 192.168.2.1 - 254 and Port 3 can have 10.0.1.1 - 254.
But the Admin guide I just downloaded is NOT for 10.0.4.10. It shows Networking > LAN > VLAN Configuration. My screens show Networking > LAN > VLAN Membership.
So I am not sure how to make Port 2 associate with VLAN98 ( I created VLAN98 and 99 for the other two networks). There is a membership table that you can Tag or untag for each of the four ports - is that it ?
I am trying to configure a Cisco 1841 to allow the users to access the internet. This is my first step with ppp. All the rest of the configuration is ok but I don't know how to setup the interfaces Dialer0 and ATM0/0/0.
Need very basic configuration that I can analyze and use on my device?
I've currently got a WRT54G and have an opportunity to buy a WRT54GS. The problem is that the seller of the WRT54GS has lost the Set-Up Wizard CD & Hard Copy Quick Installation Guide. Obviously I have these items already with my WRT54G. My question is this. Are these items different for the WRT54G or will the stuff I already have for the WRT54G "work" for the WRT54GS.
Is there any sort of "hardening-guide" re: preventing people from hacking the DIR-825? I've done the obvious (to me) things, but I'm wondering what the risk is.I'm also interested in how good the DIR-825 is, security-wise, compared with Linksys equivalent routers.Seeming limitations on the admin password has me concerned url...
I need to setup a VPN into my home network ASAP.I have logmein so i can get in and setup a VM or something, but im not sure the best way to about this.I have TWC home
I am running a 2008R2 DomainController/DNS/DHCP.I have hyper-v setup, so maybe a vm is easiest, just thought i would ask.Doesnt need to be super robust, this is a temporary solution.
For the life of me I can’t get my quick VPN client to connect to my Cisco 120w. I have IPSec gateway to gateway setup and working just fine. I made my quick vpn client under vpn tab. I enabled remote management. Every time I try to connect I get the failed to establish connection. Using the same quick VPN software I can connect to a rv082 with no trouble.
I have a WRVS4400N router & am using Quick VPN to connect to the Router. I can able connect through Window XP Machine, but not able to connect through Window Vista & 7. Whenever I try to connect through Window 7, I got this message: The remote gateway is not responding. Right now the Cisco router is behind DSL modem and I can't change the DSL modem to bridge mode as my ISP told me that we can't change DSL modem to bridge mode. what I have to do to connect to the router through Windows 7 & Vista.
I'm having issues getting QuickVPN to connect. I think it's an issue pinging the gateway but I'm not 100% sure. We are using Comcast Business, I have placed the RV180 in the DMZ. The setup looks like this: Internet -> Comcast router -> RV180 (DHCP) -> rest of network.
we bought a router for our company RV042, so far good
What i did:
1. i created QuickVPN clients, droped in certificate which exported from router
******NOTE********All company's laptops are running: Windows 7pro 32bits****************
The users are connecting sucesefully to router and using resources from server etc...
But, when they press disconnect on quickVPN it shows disconnected, but when i log in into router, i still see that they are connected (not disconnecting),
and the problem is they cannot connect to router second time if i don't manually disconnect them from rv042 router....
Only sometimes the clients disconnect properly from router, but it is very very rare...
Question1: Where I should look for the problem in router rv042 or client laptops?
Question2: Does the 64bit windows7 pro OS can connect to RV042router?
I have latest quickvpn software and latest router firmware.
we recently bought a new desktop firewall solution from McAfee and I can't seem to get our VPN to work. I allowed QuickVPN in the firewall and additionally opened port 1194, 1720 and 1723 - but that does not do the trick. Once I turn off the firewall and use Windows Firewall instead it works.
I have a hub / spoke configuration, with about 9 spokes. All connect ot the main office over a VPN, all native Cisco routers (2900 series)I want to use netflow to monitor traffic, and I started, but my results are not what I expected. I don't think I configured it properly.
Several interfaces have sub-interfaces, so if I'm reading correctly, I only export flow from the physical intyerface, not the sub-interfaces. Correct?I want both inbound and outbound traffic, so do I use the command twice with ingress and egress? What is the difference between V5 and V9?
Finally, how does NBAR fit in this? I want to see applications as well as just packets.
I have a laptop and a desktop pc both connected to the same wifi network, both running win 7. File transfers are not quick enough for my liking over wifi so when I need to move a few files about I tend to hook the two together with an ethernet cable. When I try to copy a file however it defaults to using the wireless connection. I'm getting around this at the moment by just turning the wifi off on the laptop while I do the transfers but it would be nice to not have to.
We use FileMaker Pro instant web publishing for several of our clients. I just installed the Cisco RV180w wireless N vpn router. As soon as I enabled the FileMaker IWP quick VPN stopped working.
Quick VPN and have not had any success connecting with our router. Below is my components info. Cisco router: WRVS4400N, Firmware V2.0.0.7. The router is behind a Comcast SMC business gateway modem Remote computer: Window 7 Ultimate 64 bit
I downloaded the Quick VPN client 1.4.2.1, and installed the client successfully but cannot connect using the VPN Client Account that I had set up in the router. Below are several questions that I hope to understand.
1) Do I need to configure specific ports for VPN in the Comcast gateway firewall?
2) What IP address do I put in the Quick VPN client profile when I connect remotely? The WRVS4400N modem shows 2 IP addresses in the Status:
DNS1: 68.xx.xx.176 DNS2: 68.xx.xx.132
Are these the IP that go into the "Server Address" on the Quick VPN client profile? and which one of the two? or do I use the static WAN IP address provided by my Comcast account?
3) In the Quick VPN client window, what is the "Use Remote DNS Server" mean?
4) Do I need to create a client certificate from the WRVS4400N for the client
5) Is there any setup needed for the remote firewall (if the client is behind a home wireless router and modem, for example)?
Very recently, we had implemented Site-to-Site VPN tunnel between two Linksys RV042 4-port VPN routers. Everybody in our remote site is accessing and sharing the data through this tunnel and it is working fine.
Now, we have a plan to implement the same for our mobile clients also. For this, we had followed all the basic configuration procedures and user got connected to Quick VPN tunnel. Here is a problem we had observed. The mobile client user is connected to the tunnel, but unable to access the office LAN from the PC.
If I am using an ASA5505, and I have a configuration similar to below, I see that the untrusted interface is only allowed to ftp to 192.168.1.5. Since the trusted interface is not limited to ftp only can it basically run any protocol it wants to 10.20.30.2, or does it get limited to only ftp by the other ACL on returning packets. Also, is the ACL applied to the interface because the ACL's name is the name of the interface?
Router is a version 1.1 running with sw version V1.1.13-ETSI Quick VPN is sw version Ver 1.4.1.2
The issue is that I can't connect due to that i cant ping the internal IP, get this error message in the QVPN log [WARNING]Failed to ping remote VPN Router![URL]I have disable the "Block WAN Request" and it is possible to ping the router on the external site.So as I see it, the router blocks for ping on the internal IP via QVPN, what have I done wrong?
We have a need to access an VLAN at the main office( ie Core Switch 6500,switch 3750) from a remote site(Cisco3845 router, Switch3750) connecting by a SP through fibre link.
what is the easiest and quick way to do it and the user from the remote site just want to have access to that VLAN for a couple of days only.
