May 7, 2012One computer with two users. My account allows quick access but the other is dramatically slow. I created a new account and it has the same problem.

Cisco Routers :: Unable To Access LAN Behind RV042 From Quick VPN Client?
Aug 22, 2011Very recently, we had implemented Site-to-Site VPN tunnel between two Linksys RV042 4-port VPN routers. Everybody in our remote site is accessing and sharing the data through this tunnel and it is working fine.
Now, we have a plan to implement the same for our mobile clients also. For this, we had followed all the basic configuration procedures and user got connected to Quick VPN tunnel. Here is a problem we had observed. The mobile client user is connected to the tunnel, but unable to access the office LAN from the PC.

Nov 26, 2011I have an RV042 using Quick VPN to connect to a remote network. I have port 1723 forwarded to a static IP address on a Windows 7 Pro 64 bit PC. I can establish the VPN and ping a printer but not the Win 7 PC. I can not acccess any shares on the pc via the IP address. It has Norton Antivirus and Windows Firewall. This remote PC replaced a Windows xp PC that allowed access to the shares. I have tried access with a Windows XP Pro and Windows Vista Home Premium PC. Neither have worked.

Nov 9, 2012After upgrade to FW .04 on x3000 the router dramatically decreased the internet speed, besides the already discussed problem with cookies and authentication. Any archive for 1.00.03 (previous FW) - I think downgrading now is the only way to hve the router back to normal.

Jan 24, 2013I have a strange effect at my ACE 4710. I loadbalances normally reliable only 14 WEB-Services.
It's running on SW A3.25. Since several weeks I regognized a dramatical increase of Sticky entries. So when running in limitations (the stolen for reuse counter increased then) (show np 1 me-stats "-slb -v") gave more and more resources for sticky ... last it was at 65% and ran again into limits at round 650500 Sticky entries.
So I began to find out what of the services was affected with most sticky database entries and could Identify it. There were really to see round about640000 entries for that specific service.
The sticky for that service was defined to look at a specific cookie in the http header and the timeout defined is 120 minutes.
So round about 45000 Entries was to see with a "show sticky databse group Cookie_Sticky" with a time-to-expire value of zero in the database like the follwing examüple shows:

When I modified my Sticky definition with the command "timeout activeconns" all the Zero-Entries were kicked out and the rsources used for Stickywent back to 5% of usage...
Linksys Access Point :: Access Guest Account Through WAP54G?
Jun 9, 2011My network is such that I want to extend the signal of the GUEST account. I have a WAP54G set up for that purpose and am getting a very strong signal. I can access the main network, but not the Guest, I cannot even see the GUEST access. Any setting change that needs to be made that will allow me to access the GUEST account from the Access Point?

File Transfer Are Not Quick Over Wifi
Sep 26, 2011I have a laptop and a desktop pc both connected to the same wifi network, both running win 7. File transfers are not quick enough for my liking over wifi so when I need to move a few files about I tend to hook the two together with an ethernet cable. When I try to copy a file however it defaults to using the wireless connection. I'm getting around this at the moment by just turning the wifi off on the laptop while I do the transfers but it would be nice to not have to.

What i did:
1. i created QuickVPN clients, droped in certificate which exported from router
******NOTE********All company's laptops are running: Windows 7pro 32bits****************
The users are connecting sucesefully to router and using resources from server etc...
But, when they press disconnect on quickVPN it shows disconnected, but when i log in into router, i still see that they are connected (not disconnecting),
and the problem is they cannot connect to router second time if i don't manually disconnect them from rv042 router....
Only sometimes the clients disconnect properly from router, but it is very very rare...
Question1: Where I should look for the problem in router rv042 or client laptops?
Question2: Does the 64bit windows7 pro OS can connect to RV042router?
I have latest quickvpn software and latest router firmware.

Nov 1, 2011we recently bought a new desktop firewall solution from McAfee and I can't seem to get our VPN to work. I allowed QuickVPN in the firewall and additionally opened port 1194, 1720 and 1723 - but that does not do the trick. Once I turn off the firewall and use Windows Firewall instead it works.

Several interfaces have sub-interfaces, so if I'm reading correctly, I only export flow from the physical intyerface, not the sub-interfaces. Correct?I want both inbound and outbound traffic, so do I use the command twice with ingress and egress?What is the difference between V5 and V9?
Finally, how does NBAR fit in this? I want to see applications as well as just packets.

Oct 6, 2011 Quick VPN and have not had any success connecting with our router. Below is my components info. Cisco router: WRVS4400N, Firmware V2.0.0.7. The router is behind a Comcast SMC business gateway modem Remote computer: Window 7 Ultimate 64 bit
I downloaded the Quick VPN client 1.4.2.1, and installed the client successfully but cannot connect using the VPN Client Account that I had set up in the router. Below are several questions that I hope to understand.
1) Do I need to configure specific ports for VPN in the Comcast gateway firewall?
2) What IP address do I put in the Quick VPN client profile when I connect remotely? The WRVS4400N modem shows 2 IP addresses in the Status:
DNS1: 68.xx.xx.176
DNS2: 68.xx.xx.132
Are these the IP that go into the "Server Address" on the Quick VPN client profile? and which one of the two? or do I use the static WAN IP address provided by my Comcast account?
3) In the Quick VPN client window, what is the "Use Remote DNS Server" mean?
4) Do I need to create a client certificate from the WRVS4400N for the client
5) Is there any setup needed for the remote firewall (if the client is behind a home wireless router and modem, for example)?

Since the trusted interface is not limited to ftp only can it basically run any protocol it wants to 10.20.30.2, or does it get limited to only ftp by the other ACL on returning packets.Also, is the ACL applied to the interface because the ACL's name is the name of the interface?

Aug 27, 2012I've got 3 computers. All running Windows 7 Home Premium. My desktop has an entire drive shared. I initially was having problems accessing the drive from both my HTPC and my laptop. I flushed the dns and reset winsock. reset IPv4 TCP/IP,and reset IPv6 TCP/IP.This fixed the problem from the laptop to the desktop, but the HTPC is still having problems accessing the desktop. The desktop however has no problems accessing the HTPC.Also have disabled auto tuning and the rdc.Forgot to add: Laptop is wireless the other two are wired.

Nov 13, 2011I brought my desktop PC thinking their would be an ethernet port in the room but there isn't. I went out and bought a Belkin USB Wireless N150 network adapter and I download things at roughly 25kbps which just... sucks. I tried to ask the "tech guy" here what type of router they are using and he said "W-E-P" so I just said "okay" and walked away knowing that he barely speaks english. What can I do to get any more speed out of this? I don't know if it's a B, G, or N. If it's a G, would buying the N300 (i think it's "N+") or the N600 Dual Band work at all? What settings can I change? What can I buy?I've also got my Xbox 360 hooked into my PC via the ethernet port and shared the network connection with it to play Xbox Live, it's slow, but not unplayable.

Slow To Access Internal Sites Via External IP
Jul 17, 2012Our secondary site accesses the internal intranet via a link, which is basically:
[URL] where externalip is the IP address of my router.
* This used to work fine before we migrated from ADSL (6mb up / 0.5mb down) to Fibre(70mb / 20mb) *
Internally, I access the same link, but via [URL] Internally it loads in 2 seconds, externally it is taking 68seconds(ish)..
I can't work it out, the fibre shouldave made things loads quicker but is infact very slow. I'm wondering if something network wise is going on.
The intranet is a php intranet sitting on apache, and using postgresql as the database. Other pages load fine, this specific index.php page does quite a lot of DB connections and so on, but as I say before, it worked fine before the migration.
