Cisco Wireless :: WRVS440N V1 Does It Support WDS?
Jul 20, 2011
I have seen posts and screen shots of WRVS4400N settings screens showing WDS but I can't find anywhere in my setup to enable WDS on my version 1. I am running firmware 1.1.13. This makes me think WDS is only supported on v2 of the WRVS4400N, is that correct?
i am trying to expand the wifi range of my WRVS4400n. Since the WAP4400 is'nt available i got me a wap321, since it was mentioned as recommende replacement. However i am having trouble in getting the bridge to work.First i tried to use WDS but this only killed my WRVS4400n and i am now trying the Workghroup Bridge mode on the WAP321.
On WRVS4400n i have enabled WDS and have tried both auto setting and Manual without any difference I am stuck with this status on the WAP321:
Network Interface Status and Statistics VLAN ID Name (SSID) WLAN0UPSTRM Disconnected 1 myssid WLAN0DWSTRM Up 1 myssid
It is the Infrastructure Client Interface setting that fails, i've tried both None and WPA pesronal Security setting with same result: Disconnected
I have turned on 'Local log' and 'output blocking event log' on my WRVS4400N v2 with latest fw.When I am clicking 'view log' button I can't see anything in empty fields. When I am trying to change logs genre I have empty fields all time.
We are Deploying New Stand Alone AP (Model:AIR-AP1142N-N-K9) in our infrastrucuture, through out our network, we used 802.11G Adapter for Wifi Clients throughout,
Coulple of Questions i Have,
1) In This New Access point i found only Radio0 -802.11N 2.4 Ghz & 5 Ghz , whether this Model AIR-AP1142N-N-K9 will Support 802.11G Adapters? 2) if Clients Comes up with 802.11 G Adapter will it Negotiate and Connect to it?, through out worldwide our network Wifi Clients used 802.11g network to Connect to wifi Network. 3) Also from Client PC is there a way to find what network adapter its running? 4) Correct me if i am wrong , if Client Laptops having G adapter, i Hope it will not Connect To Access point with N Adapter? 5) if these Access point Does not support G adapter, any way to upgrade or downgrade to other IOS to make this access point support G Adapters?
I would like to get it clarified, that Cisco WLC 2504 running the code ( 7.2.110.0 ) does support IPv6 or not ?
From Cisco Documents they are asking to enable IPv6 support under WLAN > Edit Page, and Enabling mulicast on Ethernet Multicast Mode under Controller > General.
But from the GUI am not able to find the above two field, Even in Interface i created under Controller > interface is not accepting IPv6 address. I am able to configure IPv6 ACL .
Is any deployment document is available to show different scenarios with configuration.
does 5700 have the heat-map support? can i load a floor-plan to the controller. i know we can make this with wcs. 7200 specifications controller must have load floor plan option.
I have an older Linksys WRVS4400N Version 1.1 VPN Router. I have it set to run in mixed mode G/N. I still can only get connection speeds of 54 Mbps though. How can I get my wireless N clients to see 300 Mbps speeds?
Does the WAP4410N access point for Small Businesses support any Discovery Protocol like Cisco Discovery Protocol (CDP) or Link-Layer Discovery Protocol (LLDP), both for sending and receiving frames? I did an extensive search on the manuals and I was unable to find it

I've got a question about the support of AP's in the latest 7.2.x code [URL] We have a couple of AP's that are not referenced in this matrix, does that mean that they are not supported or just that they're forgotten, because we have them running on 7.0.x code.
AIR-LAP1120B (nothing mentioned about those) AIR-LAP1121G (maybe the fall under AIR-LAP1121 ?) AIR-LAP1230A (only AIR-AP1230A is referenced.. typo ? or are the LWAPped once not supported ?)
Whats it "OfficeExtend support" in the 5500 WLC datasheet?.I dont see nothing about this in the WLC configuration guide release v7.0.116.0.Is this the same as OEAP?. Is the OfficeExtended (or OEAP) supported on the 1140 APs?. If so where can I get a guide to configure this?.
