Problem is that the WAP200 is sending out STP data every 2 seconds (checked with Wireshark) wich is causing mayhem on the network. View 2 Replies View RelatedI have two WAP200's code level version 2.0.4.0 connected to two SFE2000 24port, one switch per building. I have 3 vlans that I want to bridge between those two switches. I know the trunks on the switch are setup correctly because I can connect them directly and test all vlans.
I am able to get the untagged Vlan 1 to work fine with the bridge, but I have issues with the tagged Vlans 2 and 3. I have checked that I have the correct SSID tied to the correct Vlan number. I cause the whole network to lock up when I try to add the other SSID MAC addresses to the AP Mode -> AP Mode -> Wireless Bridge -> "Remote Wireless Bridge's MAC Addresses:" section. The wireless lights and ethernet lights go solid.Should I be adding the additional MACs there?

I'm using 4 wap200 cisco AP, 1 wap200e linksys AP and 1 cisco sf300-24p switch. Every AP has 2 SSIDs,one is for clients and one for mobile devices.I have updated the equipment to the latest firmware but I still encounter the same issue. The mobile devices go through APs and once every 2 days, my wap200e blocks its lan interface. I suspected a stp issue, because the switch was seeing MAC addresses coming from different ports.So I disabled STP on the switch and on the AP. The annoying thing thing is that none of my other antennas get cut off.I tried replacing it with a cisco wap200e,same issue.

When i come in the same place of the AP, i'm connected directly. When I look at the force of the signal is -35 in the chamber and -55 in the saloon.My android phone and one other old mac book doesn't have problem connecting. The access point (a TP-Link WA801N) is only able to access the internet when it is plugged into a port that is on the default VLAN (PVID 1). If I plug it into one of the other VLANs then any clients connected to the WiFi lose access to the internet and cannot access devices on the VLAN. I tryed two configurations: Root and Non-Root AP. This way every wired PC on the Root AP can connect to the Access points, but cannot connect to the wired PC on the Non-Root AP.AP and WGB. The problem that I am encountering is not one of connectivity, but rather entry. Then I connected an ethernet cable from a LAN port on my Verizon supplied Actiontec MI424WR-GEN2 E router to a LAN port on the access point and turned off the wireless in the router.

I'm having troubles setting up a separate VLAN for wireless on a SG-200-26. My first question is why did Cisco not make the VLAN setup like they have all their other business class switches? Anyways, the Access and General modes on these SG class switches are throwing me for a loop.
Right now I just have one port (g10) on the SG-200 switch that needs to be in VLAN 6, which is our wireless VLAN. All other ports are in their default VLAN, which is 1.
Here's what I've done...
Configured port G1 (trunk to another switch) as the trunk port and Port G10 (attached to WAP) as a general port. All other ports stayed in their default configuration. This is what it looks like now...

I'm pretty sure port G1 is configured correctly, but I have no idea about what port g10 should look like. Common sense tells me it should be an Access port and assign it to VLAN 6, but apparently you cannot tag the traffic within an Access port on SG switches, which makes it useless because how will other switches recognize what VLAN the packets are in? So the next logical mode would be General mode, which I put in VLAN 6. I switched that port from being 6U (untagged) to 6T (tagged), but neither seemed to work.
