View 9 Replies View RelatedWhen accessing the camera on mydlink, or on a browser using http://x.x.x.x/mjpg.cgi, I would expect the net bit rate to be substantially less than for a sequence of jpg's, since true motion-jpg uses a lossy form of intraframe compression typically yielding a 20:1 data reduction (according to wikipedia). Indeed, I can readily see this reduction in mjpg clips made on my Canon S5is camera. It's not clear whether that is happening with the d-link DCS-930L camera (640x480, quality "high", java).

View 5 Replies View RelatedI just setup 3 webcam DSC-930L for a friends with a router DI-655.
I run the setup for the 3 webcams. If I use my dlink on the local network it work, if I used my dlink from let say at work, it work too. If I used the i pad in WiFi it works.
The problem is when I try to use the i phone or the i pad in 3G mode, sometimes it work but most of the time it doesn't, after about 60sec it says something like check your network settings... When I'm able to see something in my dlink app on the i phone, if I return back to the list after that it doesn't work if I switch camera.
Question is, do I have to forward any port on the router in the virtual server section? I'm assuming no since sometime it work and sometimes no. Do I have to activate the UpnP on the router too?
If i run the software CD and activate the cam by "setup your cloud camera" it works and i can see the camera but i can only run it per local router command 192.168.... and there i only have the 320x240 solution. Important info: I only want to run the camera in my local network, i wont use the mydlink option,But if i install the D-ViewCam software the screen remains black and the program wont find my camera. I have already had a phone call with the d-link software

AirPort Utility 5.5.2, OSX 10.6.6.I can see the cam with the myDlink Lite iPhone (4) App when I am in my house with my wireless network. When I am out, away from my network, the App can't connect to the cam, tells me to check my network settings. I did the wps way and added the cam in the airport base utility *Access Control* tab but still doesn't work. Checked in the cam web page settings, can't figure out what the Pre-Shared Key is and where I get it/set it up in the airport utility...

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a 655 and two TVs. One is connected to my network by a Samsung 5700 Blu Ray player, and the other is connected by x box. The x box is 20 ft away from my router and the Blue Ray is about 60 away with one wall between. The x box pulls movies down and plays them no problem, and Blue Ray takes about a minute for loading the moving, will start playing but them pauses several times throughtout the movie showing the loading sign on screen.

I have tried resetting the router, ping the website and get "request timed out"The firmware is up to date version 2.25 I have tried other computers that access the same network and they also cant stream the audio.I have also turned off my windows 7 firewall with no luck I can access other sites I visit and stream audio just fine so I wonder if the router may be blocking something on this website?Is there a way to allow an audio stream to come through that may be blocked by the router?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a readynas duo connected by cable to my dir 825,and i want to stream movies from the nas to my zbox,wich has W7 32bit and a sitecom dual N usb adapter,but it seems my wireless speed is to slow for mkv and m2ts(playback stutters),when i copy a file from the nas to my zbox i get 7,60MB using a 1,33gb file,when i copy the same file from the zbox to the nas speed is a little better around 8.20MB.all my devices are in the same room.
View 8 Replies View RelatedUsing as AP. Last Tuesday in the middle of a Netflix movie the video stopped. Now the wireless portion of the DAP-1522 refuses to pass any type of video. Everything else works (email, Google, Facebook, etc.). I can get to Netflix, Youtube, Yahoo, etc. .....but none of them will pass video.
Using a direct wired connection to the DAP-1522 everything works. Netflix, Youtube, etc.

I recently bought 3 DCS-920 to monitor my home while at the office. However I can't seem to get the damned things to stream video using the dyndns service. I linked my router to the dyndns account and host service. I portforward the ports my cameras are assigned. Up to this point its all good, I can access the cameras and their settings pages while outside. However both the Java and ActiveX options for video streaming do not work. Even within the network, using their raw IPs to view the cameras the videos stream works.But putting in the hostname and port they are assigned brings up the camera page, but no video.I can only assume the ports the video and audio run on are seperate, as when I put one camera's IP in the DMZ host on my router, it works with the DNS. Unforunately I can only do that with 1, and I'd rather not do that at all.

Set up port forwarding with dedicated IP address on xbox. Still same issue every-time. Even see the x-box listed on the router status page indicating that the static IP I assigned is hitting the router. Using WPA- personal for security and the X-box game adaptor with a D-Link- 655 router.

I'm assuming the 655 is kicking it off. I've tried changing settings on the 655 but nothing seems to make any difference. I'm able to use an Apple TV/iPhone/iPad with no issues.

I have been going back and forth on the WD board trying to resolve a remote access issue with the mybook and I am being told to do some settings in the router and I am not sure I have dine them correctly> It has not resolved the issue but I would like to make sure I am correct before I claim its not a good fix. The mybook is connected into a network port on the router which is connected to a High Speed modem and then out to the internet. Initially I was told to enable UPnP on the 825, which was already enabled. Then this is what I was told to do by a WD tech. You could try assigning a static IP to the My Book Live, then making sure ports 80 and 443 are assigned to that IP on your router. It is possible that something else is taking one of these ports. We use uPnP to try to open up these ports, and if it fails, we resort to relay mode. In the future, we will allow you to set these ports within the My Book Live to other than 80 and 443.
View 7 Replies View Relatedi've lost the ability to view live streaming video (adobe flash, i think) on several websites. it happened gradually over several weeks and now videos will not load. the dir-615 has functioned flawlessly over several years but it might be showing its age now. connecting directly to my com cast broadband modem fixes the problem. can i tweak the router settings or do i need to replace it?
my setup: dir-615, H/W Ver. E1, F/W Ver. 5.00NA, two wired connections to X Box's and one to Win 7 PC. wireless connections to several Win 7 laptops and other tablets/phones. com cast high speed broadband with their Norton security suite.

The live video is OK from MyDlink, but when I log on to the cameras from "Advanced Settings" the live video is just a black screen, no matter what video profile I select. Like wise I can't select motion detect area, because there is just a black screen.I have tried on tree different computers. What can be wrong?
View 7 Replies View Relatedi have this problem when using Remote Live Viewer the Web Remote Client of DviewCam 3.2: i can only see one camera at a time, even more i have to stop playing the current one if i want to change the camera. the viewer shows me the grid for playing many cameras but i don't know if they can be played simultaneously. I can select any camera and will play so i don't think it's an access problem.

Also, for some reason, I am now unable to connect to Xbox Live using my laptop as a router (plugging the ethernet cable from my xbox to my laptop). Also, when I plag it in, the internet stops working on my laptop and I have to restart it to get it to work again.
