I had trouble with my roku connecting but by going to wpa2 I believe. I tried the same exact password I use to sign in with Netflix and it never connects....changed the ereader to wpa2 there to. I don't know if the firewall changes here all causing the problem.
I received Apple TV and a Kobo E-Reader over the holidays, and when I try to connect them to my wireless network, they fail in connecting; even with entering the correct password. Is there something that I need to do in terms of updating, being it should connect having the correct password.

After I configure the WAN setting on TL-MR3020, my laptop unable to connect to my TL-MR3020 anymore, the message says "windows was unable to connect to TP-LINK_POCKET_3020_B5F9AD".
In my device I am able to browse through & connect to my HOME wifi network ; But after connecting it says 'No Internet Access'.I tried connecting with my SONY Bluray , iphone , ipad , laptops -- everywhere same story.I am able to plug in the ethernet cable directly from modem & able to connect to network.I am not able to open the http://192.168.0.1 -- ( When I am plugged in the modem directly)
Following are my router details

I'm trying to connect to my home laptop from work. The home laptop is connected to DIR-655 router. I set up the internal and external ports to 3389 using both TCP and UDP protocols with the Application as "Remote Desktop". From my work PC I enter the external IP with :3389 and it fails to connect. I have also tried accessing internally which is failing too. All computers are running Windows 7 Home Premium Remote Access is enable on all.
I have a TP-Link (TL-WR941ND) wireless router in my living room and I want to expand my connectivity to get to the bedrooms area. I have a D-link (DI-524)wireless G router I want to take advantage of. How can I connect the two routers (no cables to be used) together so I can have acces to the internet from my room?
I had a dual channel netgear n600 set-up at 2.4 GHz working with three machines. I replaced it with the DIR-655 using my laptop to get better signal levels on one distant PCs . I setup the router from the laptop (win7) with the DIR-655 connected to the Cable modem output and did the set-up. Used the wizzard and the laptop is now working fine on the wireless network . Then went to other machines and the wireless signal as indicated by the laptop was fine. I reset the networking details on these PCs (Win 7 and win XP) and used the assigned network name, dlink, the security / pass key and same WPA security as prescribed on the DIR-655 router - to set up the network connection on these machines. The network adapters are fine on these machine but they will not connect to the dlink router. The win XP PC sees the network but the Win7 machine will not even see the network. Have doubled checked all the settings and I cannot see that anything is wrong with the settings ?? Note I do have an apple iphone that seems to be picking up the signal fine. Have turned off the modem and router numerous time but still have same problem.
At one point I had to return to the preset DIR-655 settings since the ID and pass word I had set would not longer allow me to access the router ?? I also notice that one D-Link panel says the UID is Admin whereas it was originally shown to be admin but could not be changed
I have recently had issues with my dlink which has been happily working for around 2 years. Now suddenly it will not connect to the Internet at all, I can find networks but it simply refuses to connect at all. I'm having to post this on my iPod so I can't even download any alternate drivers etc
I cannot connect to X-box live. The test connects to my router, to the internet, but fails on connecting to Xbox live. I tried changing from n to g. Set up port forwarding with dedicated IP address on xbox. Still same issue every-time. Even see the x-box listed on the router status page indicating that the static IP I assigned is hitting the router. Using WPA- personal for security and the X-box game adaptor with a D-Link- 655 router.
Until this morning, my computer had no problems automatically connecting to the router. Now I can't even manually connect to the network my D-Link router is on at all. Details on the router: has the latest firmware, hardware ver. B2. All the other devices (like gaming consoles) and computers in my home have no trouble connecting to that router.
I'm connecting to that router with my comp using wireless connection with D-Link DWA-552 network adapter. The adapter is also upgraded to the latest driver and I can get onto other connections in my home network. It's just the D-Link 615 I cannot connect to.
some problems I was having with the wireless schedule forcing a router reset when the schedule was enabled. D-Link eventually conceded that the problm is a faulty router. However, to have the router replaced will take 2 - 3 weeks, meaning I have to buy another router if I don't want to be offline for that long. So I've decided to save up my money to buy a new modem, and I've found that by having wireless enabled at all times works around the problem. However, around the same time I started diagnosing that problem I was changing various settings. At the time I may not have mentioned I have 2 PS3's here. These stopped being able to connect to the internet at around that time, and the kids tell me they didn't tell me about it because they knew I was working on other router problems, but now they want their PS3's to work on line so they can play online games.I have tried automatic configuration and manual configuration. I have the MAC addresses in the router, have set them up in the Network filters, and have a DHCP reservations. I have used the routers DNS and also tried OpenDNS addresses.I keep getting error 80710102 (DNS error), and when I first turn on a PS3 807101FF. Both PS3s exhibit the same symptoms.
I have a DIR-655 connected to a linksys switch via lan to lan. The 655 is on the other end of the house. I can not connect to the 655 to enable policies or make changes. I can connect for internet, thats all. I was told that I had to have the router IP close to the linksys (192.168.1.1). I wanted to change the ip address of the 655 to 192.168.1.2 . Every time I do this I can no longer connect to the 655 via lan. I have rebooted my computer and the 655. Nothing. I have to hard reset just to connect to it and start all over again.
I have a simple(?) problem with my old router. I had this for 2 years but I never used it till today. So its brand new, just without warranty . Long story short, this router can't connect to internet. I tried resetting the router, newest firmware, stock firmware, chaining the Ethernet wire, etc. Nothing would work. The weird thing is, I can connect to the router both wirelessly and through the Ethernet port, but the router can't "communicate" with my Netgear cg3000d. I used the wizard to set it up.
Wasted several hours after changing to a D-link DIR 825 router attempting to connect to my XBOX 360 (S) without success.Tried to use the 5 GHz broadcasting with following settings (the 5 GHz SSID didn't show up in the XBOX wireless list but I'm one of those ignorant trial & error:
- locked on 802.11n and WPA2,
- disabled Multicast Streams in "Advanced/Advanced Network",
- disabled SPI and TCP & UDP Endpoint Independent i "Advanced/Firewall Settings/Firewall Settings"
In the end it was resolved by the info in solution 5 on the xbox page: The XBOX:es with built in wireless can only use the 2.4 GHz connection, and to be able using 5 GHz broadcast I apparently have to get the "black adapter".
I have an Open NAT but there's some people i can't connect to. I've treed DMZing and it's doesn't seem to get me to connect to everyone, and i've also tried Port forwarding as well.
Two weeks ago my DIR-825 stopped connecting to some URLs. I made no changes to the router nor did I add any new software. If I tether my laptop to my smartphone, I connect to those URLs without any problems. I connected my cable modem directly to the laptop and I was able to connect to the URLs also.
I have a DIR-651. My router problem is that I can't reliably connect wirelessly. Any wired connection works great though. My Android devices connect to the wireless no problem as does my Windows 7 HTPC. My Ubuntu netbook and MacBook Pro are BOTH having problems though. These 2 machines will continually try connecting but never establish a wireless connection. The strange thing is, once I connect either laptop to the router using an ethernet cable, they'll establish a wireless connection a few minutes after establishing a wired connection.
My wireless network information:
802.11 Mode: Mixed n/g/b Enable Auto Channel Scan: Enabled Transmission rate: Best Security mode: WPA Personal WPA Mode: Auto (WPA or WPA2) Cipher Type: AES Visibility Status: Invisible
i cannot connect to the internet through wifi but if using cable is ok for me . i don't know why in my house only me (notebook and iphone) cannot connect to the wifi. i have install and reinstall the network driver but it still can't work. This problem is only occur in my house. When i take my notebook to outside, it can connect to others wifi. When i use my iphone to connect , it says that "It is unable to connect to [SSID]".
I have a home network. 3 computers hooked up to the DIR-655. 2 are XP and 1 Windows 7, all hardwired and TV is wireless. I can see all connections on LAN ,access shared folders etc. with no problems. The problem is the computer running win 7. It will not connect to the internet through router. It was working fine until a couple days ago. Been trying to fix since. The other 3 units connect ok.The problem may be with the computer itself.
I got my protected stuff set up but every time i try to connect my laptop wirelessly i get errors. I select the wireless network and it says i need a pin.I goto advanced on the router setup ans wifi protected setup and use the pin there and I get the following error
"Windows cannot get the network settings from the router"
I have dir655 Hardware Ver B1 Firmware Version: 2.10NA.Comcast Motorola cable modem surfboard SB5101. The problem started happening a couple of days ago. When my computer is hooked up to the cable model directly, i am able to connect to outlook.com just fine but when i go through my router, it can't connect to the site. I played with MTU (lower it by 10) all the way to 1300 but it didn't work. The problem started happening all the sudden without any changes in the cable modem, router or my computer.
I also tried cloning MAC address from my pc but didn't work.I also tried turn off both modem and router, wait 2 minutes, start modem, wait for all lights to come up and start the router.Sites i can't connect are: outlook.com, starcraft2, Comcast, eBay, Facebook. One thing that i noticed weird is that i am able to connect to cnn.com using IE9 just fine but ping shows: [code]
I have a DIR-600. but now, it can not connect to internet.this is images when i connect mordem internet with Dir600. (mordem running good)And when i connect my laptop with Dir600?
I can't connect to the internet. I connect the cables but the router doesn't connect to the internet. I contacted to my ISP and they told me to put this settings but I don't know how to put these
I recently bought this router and I've set the router too many times and keeps doing the same thing. I've used WPA WEP and without security and the same the router still dosen't want to connect to the internet.
I'm having troubles getting my router to work today for some reason. I'm with teksavvy and I've had the router for 6 months now and this is the first time I'm having problems connecting to the internet.
Any laptops or desktops in the house that connect wirelessly cannot load anything related to the internet. If they are connected by an ethernet cable then only skype works for some odd reason. When I connect directly to the modem with my desktop it works perfectly. I tried unplugging the router for 5 minutes many times and that hasn't worked. I've tried power cycling through it as well, modem -> router -> computer and it does not work. I've also tried resetting the router as well, holding the reset button for 20 seconds. During the setup, the router could not detect an internet connection. After the setup it was the same situation as I started with. None of the computers can connect via router.
First off, using a iMac Laptop. As I've noticed no one's posted with that yet.Ok. Purchased the DIR-601. I have set up the Admin. Created the Wireless Network (As far as I'm aware) with a WPA-Personal. I think in might be that I need to connect via Static IP. I have it set for Dynamic IP.I can use internet via Ethernet but as soon as I try to pick the nework I created. It tells me Connection was Timed out!
Just bought an IPhone4 and can't connect to network. It asks me for password and I correctly typed in password. It said invalid. I reset the user password on my DIR 615 Dlink router, rebooted and same thing. I connect with my laptop wireless without any problems
I'm have a D-Link DIR-615 Wireless N 300 Router. I didn't use the CD it comes with to set up the network. Instead I configured it manually through the router's settings that are accessed via a web browser.
The main changes I made are:
Secured the router so that a password is required before clients can use the wireless internet. Broadcasting 802.11N only (not B or G).
I can connect to the router just fine and I'm able to access the internet. The only problem is that I don't see any of the other computers in my LAN. When I try connecting to another Wi-Fi router that I have (which is connected to the same network), I can see all of the computer's on my LAN just fine. Therefore, I'm guessing that the reason I can't connect to the LAN is not a problem with my computer and is a problem with the router instead.
I have a DIR-615, and I'm trying to connect my Sprint HTC Evo 2.2 to the internet using the router. I am unable to use the built in internet that the phone has. For some reason it keeps asking me my password, and the one I have set up isn't working, it wont connect.
