I'm having issues with my wireless router. When i'd set it up it worked perfectly.I decided to take it to my mother's house because the default wifi range there is too short,When i'd set it up, all lights burn green but can't connect to the internet in any way.

Unsure why this happens exactly, but every time the D-Link System restarts itself (and at on other random occurrences ever few hours), my D-Link DIR-655 becomes unable to re-connect to the internet. I can only assume it maintains a connection to the modem itself as the "globe" icon on the router becomes orange. No matter how long I wait, the router will not reconnect to the internet.
I am unsure where the problem lies either within the Router or the Modem, but it seems the other routers I own do not have this same problem. The odd thing is that the modem's "internet connection" light never goes out, and the "link" light remains on. The only solution seems to be restarting both the router and the modem, restarting just one won't do.
I got D-LINK DIR 651 Wireless Router, so i upgrade this Router to this firmware 1.10NA, release on Aug-24-2012, after this this i configure thois Router with my Modem MOTOROLA SB5101N. So the internet is working fine about an hour, there after on my Modem Send/Received light totally goes OFF, now there is no internet at all in my Home.So i unplug all & i connect my Modem directly to my PC after this i am getting internet perfectly on my PC. Then i call to my ISP they said this is not their problem from theoir site all OK.

Today I bought a TP-Link 150 Mbps Wireless PCI Express Adapter so I can pick up the internet connection in my house from my home PC. (We use a laptop most of the time which is able to pick it up fine).I've installed the wireless adapter into the computer and installed the drivers however I receive an error message:

I had Purchased a brand new TP-Link WifI Modem Router TD-W8961ND with S/N : 12CB5200872 from [URL] and it got delivered few days back. When I am trying to connect it to the internet the modem is not getting connected nor configured. The Power button light, ADSL Light and internet light are continuously blinking and nothing is getting steady. The modem is appearing to be a damaged piece of modem and it is very unfortunate that we have got a modem from flipkart in an unserviceable condition. It came with a warranty of 03 years and I wanted a replacement so that I can use the modem for connecting internet.

I have a problem with my tp-link router. I dont have an internet access of the router, updated firmware... When i connect to router by laptop the internet works fine, but when i connect to router by phone i have an internet access only 5 second and than i lost it, but still connected. No matter what I do the xbox says it can't connect to the router, and in the router's wireless connections it shows my xbox's MAC address with an IP of 0.0.0.0.I installed my DIR 655 today and had no problems accessing the network with any of my computers, however, I am completely unable to connect my xbox to the network.
Few days ago I started to get the following error message while trying to connect to the internet using Chrome and IE:"Unable to connect to the proxy server..."I don't have a proxy server configured - nothing is checked in the LAN settings page.In Firefox I don't have that problem - it seems it gets the proxy configuration from elsewhere.

I recently purchased a DIR-815 D-Link router. I've set up my network successfully; my laptop and smart phone are easily able to connect. However my desktop is having issues. My network card detects the wireless network I have set up, however the password is always rejected. I am typing in the correct password. I can get the internet to work on my desktop if I connect the router directly by wire, but I need the wireless to work. My desktop runs Windows 7.

View 12 Replies View RelatedI am timing out when attempting to connect to a particular website for all the computers on my network using my DIR-655. I checked my router's setting but I have no website filtering in place. Is there any other router setting which would cause one particular http address to always time out ? When I try to ping the web address it times out also, so it makes me think it is not the DNS server. Of course it could be my ISP, but why would a single web address time out always whereas my normal web surfing ?

When I attempt to connect them to D-View Cam 3.11 they fail to connect or will not stay connected.I first tried connecting to the router with both cameras in the same room as the router. One will connect and stay connected but the other will connect and freeze or not connect at all. If I move th GOOD camera out of the room, it will not connect.Do I have a router issue? I am using Verizon FIOS with their supplied router (Actiontec, I think). My wireless laptop connects but signal strength is never 5 bars.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI recently tried resetting my router (dlink dir-655). I am able to connect using my iphone and my mbp if I did not make use of a secure connection. I tried putting a password on a new ssid. My ipad 2 and 2 other windows laptops are able to connect without any problem. My iphone 4s was having a hard time connecting to the new ssid. It does not connect automatically just in case I turn on and off my wifi connection for the iphone. I have to type in the wpa password whenever I had to go online again. FYI, I tried resetting my iphone several times and I still get the same response. As for my mac, it was far more much worse. Whenever I tried to connect to my router. It usually says connection time out. I tried resetting the router one more time again. I had to put in the old ssid and the old wpa password. My Iphone 4s was abe to connect automatically. My mbp did the same thing also.

For instance, I have a dyndns address of ericnewton76.dyndns.org. This points to my router. Works fine if you're NOT within the router's internal network, ie, outside hosts can get in just fine (try it... http:// , you'll see an IIS7 welcome screen)
However, when INSIDE the network, the requests don't get connected properly, and they used to... ie, I work with code, so my svn repo is at ericnewton76.dyndns.org/svn but inside my network it doesn't connect properly anymore (whereas it used to before firmware update)
So now I wish I could back-peddle to 1.0 firmware.

I am trying to install a HP officejet 6700 all-in-one wireless printer on my home network. I can see the MAC and static IP addresses in the ARP list but fail to connect to it via my laptop. I have disabled the Norton Internet Security smart firewall and the windows firewall and still fail to connect. I have spent 2 four hour chat sessions with HP and they tell me it is my router. They had me change the channel to 6 from 5 and 11g-only from the 11gb-mixed and it still does not connect. They also had me do a firmware upgrade but the Printer was up to date.
I reset my Dlink 615 wireless router. I held down the power and reset for 30 seconds and rebooting the system with the disc. I did change the router name, but believe everything else stayed the same. My desk top is working fine being "hardwired" but nothing wireless will connect.
I did see this time it installed Network Magic which I have since uninstalled and again rebooted the computer system and still cannot get the wireless to work. It shows the network available, but my password for some reason does not take.
I just bought a refurbished WRT160NL router. The router is working fine, but when i tried connecting my Extrernal hdd it is not detecting.

I am having a problem connecting my router to my cable modem. I keep getting the check network status.
I am trying to setup a DIR-601 wireless router (Hardware Version: A1 Firmware Version : 1.00NA ) with my connection from Astound.I am able to connect to the internet from the cable modem (Motorola SURFboard SB5101) but I am unable to get it to work through the router. All the lights on the router look ok.When I look at the WAN status from the router setup page I see :

I recently purchased a tl-wr842nd, my printer is a hp laserjet 1020 and it is in the compatible list as I seen. The problem is that I connect the printer in the usb routers port and the led do not light up, I tried putting my pendrive to see if the usb routers port wasn't working but it does since the pendrive is accepted and online and the usb led lights.I downloaded and installed the latest firmware but there's no change, I did everything like it saids in the faq 415 where it explains how to install and use printer server with no luck.
I come here today with a problem that has been plaguing this laptop forever and a day. You see, about two or so years ago on this very laptop, it was just another day where I booted up my laptop and was going to get a good day of wasting time on the internet underway. I tried to open Firefox, and I got prompted to download an apparent update for the browser. Obviously I went along with it because it seemed pretty routine and identical to how Firefox had updated in the past.
After the update was all done and dusted, I found myself unable to connect to the internet through Firefox. I would just get a constant stream of "Unable to connect" messages. I thought it might have been a problem on my end since back then I had rather wishy washy internet. So I let it settle for a while. Later on that day I talked to a few of my buddies over Xbox Live and asked if they'd had any similar issues with the new Firefox update because at the time, we all used it and hadn't quite jumped ship to Chrome just yet. But no matter who I asked, I always got the same response "I didn't get any update." Which as you can imagine, confused me quite thoroughly.
Simply what happens when I attempt to connect to the wireless network (Home network). I'll click 'Connect', it will start attempting to connect, it will keep attempting to connect for a good few minutes and then just stop, no error message, no 'unable to connect', it will just stop and I'll be back to square one, the home wireless connection will still be there but not connected.
The connection displays as full signal all the time, but will not connect. In the house we have also got 3 other laptops running from the same connection from time to time, these all connect fine without any hassle.
