View 5 RepliesI purchased an XPS-17 Laptop from Dell, which was delivered last week. This system includes the Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6200 wireless network card. I also purchased the Netgear Push2TV HDTV wireless adapter on the advice of the Dell customer representative. The representative assured me that the two functions were compatible, and that all I needed to do was to have the network card search for new networks. Unfortunately the network card does not "see" the Netgear module, only the wireless LAN operating in my home. The Netgear Push2TV is connected to the TV via HDMI, and the TV displays the Push2TV setup screen indicating that it is waiting for a connection from a network card.
I have spoken with Dell Tech Support with no success. First of all the Tech Support representative had no knowledge of the wireless TV display capability, let alone the Netgear Push2TV device, thus did not know how to diagnose the situation, neither did her supervisor. I authorized remote access into the computer and they tried all they knew how to do with no success. Finally, after 2 hours, I was told that Dell was aware of an incompatibility issue between the two devices, and that I should just wait until it was resolved by Dell and/or Netgear in "one or two days". After hanging up, I realized that I had not been given a Case Number, thus had no record of the call.I have been checking the Drivers/Downloads site daily, but find no new releases that are not already installed on the computer.
I can´t connect to wifi because it simply doesn't read my wireless network card, I can only connect by an ethernet cable. I've tried to see if it appears in the device manager but it doesn't..
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have just fitted a centrino 6200 half mini card in an attempt to improve wireless conectivity and more so range
I assume that it would come up as new hardware found and then run the driver to get it to work. When fitted it doesnt appear in device manager and when trying to run driver the driver just runs then stops
this might sound straight forward, but every other pc or console can find and connect to my router. This issue seems to happen about once every few months, sometimes it comes back by itself and reconnects completely fine.
There isn't a "user limit" on our router.Wireless adapter is dell wireless 1505 draft 802.11n wlan mini-card.
Have restarted PC and uninstalled and reinstalled the card.I tried to set the i.p address to static but it says "adapter disconnected" so won't allow me to edit any settings, despite it being able to find neighbour's wireless very easily.
What is the difference between the Pace dsl model 4111N and Netgear dsl model 6200 I am using windows xp and want to buy a new one?

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhere can I download firmware? I've been trying to get it through the official site and downloads page, but everytime I click download, then click 'open' there's absolutely nothing in the zip folder (0 bytes).Specifically, I'm looking for the D1 4.11 firmware. It's the one I've been using for about 2 years until needing to reset my router today. And as I forgot how to Hard Reset, I accidently reset everything deleting the firmware too, and I really need the D1 4.11 firmware back as it gave me no issues for 2 years!

View 3 Replies View RelatedI work as Network administrator in a building products plant at Poland. We had core switch HP Procurve 6200yl with 5 vlans, and 11 Aironet 1240AG Access points without controller. I have a problem with create 2 wi-fi VLANs on the Cisco AP's and linked it with HP switch.
VLANs on the switch:
1 - Default (for office sutff) - working great,
2 - Production (for production stuff) - working great,
3 - Inter (for Router's) - working great,
4 - WMS - i need configure it as wireless,
5 - WiFi with Radius - i need configure it as wireless.VLANS on the Access Points:
4 - WMS - for warehouse terminals - WPA2,
5 - WiFi for office stuff with Radius.
I'm easily able to get it running a single SSID (non-VLAN) network and confirm that I can use that network fine. However, I need to set up these 2 VLANs. I can connect to it via telnet if that'll let me program it faster.
I have a number of Cisco 1801 routers connected to BT UK’s ADSL2+ Annex-A Wholesale Broadband Connect [WBC] services. The routers are experiencing connectivity issues. There is a cisco product bulletin that defines v4.0.0.18 as the version of ADSL Firmware required on the Cisco 1801 when connecting to this BT service.I would like to upgrade the ADSL Firmware for these routers but I cannot find v4.0.0.18 for the Cisco 1801 on CCO. All the 4.0.0.18 downloads appear to be for various flavours of 800. The Cisco product bulletin shows the 1801 as having the same chipset as the 857,867,877 and 887. Can I use the Firmware from one these 800 models? The MD5 Hash for the code suggests all of the these 800 model use the same code?

View 2 Replies View RelatedCurrently using intel 5100 & 6200 client cards on multiple driver versions. WiSM is 7.0.116. APs are 1250 and 1260 series. Citrix is setup to send server-side keepalives for session reliability. Randomly, several times a day the client will get disconnected from the Citrix application session but maintain connectivity to the AP and other applications continue to work. Traces show the server-side keepalive reach the controller but are delayed from controller to client by 5-6 seconds. Just enough time for the Citrix server to timeout and tear down to session. Additional testing shows the delay most likely occurs somewhere from controller to AP. It occurs on multiple controllers on multiple campuses.
We have Dell/Broadcom clients that don't experience the problem. The only commonality seems to be the Intel cards. CCX? I know Intel has a special relationship with Cisco regarding CCX and have developed features not available on other cards. Tried disabling power save and other CCX features but hasn't solved the issue.
I have a problem with current (1.0.06) firmware on WRT120N. Few hours after restart DHCP server stops assigning IP addresses. Another restart resolves problem, but only for next few hours.Computers and other devices "see" my wireless network and they are able to connect to it, but the process stops at requesting IP number. There was no such effect with original firmware (although there was another problem with 2200BG), so I want to downgrade.where can I find previous versions of WRT120N firmware?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently bought an XPS 15 L502x and I cannot find the bluetooth function on it. Looked everywhere in the device manager and Controll Pannel. Does it mean it doesn't come as standard and you have to upgrade it while choosing your components? I hope niot because it sounds a bit ridiciulous to have a top range model with core i7 and 1080p screen and no bluetooth which is as basic to me as wifi or speakers.
View 11 Replies View RelatedJust recently bought a dell xps 17 L702x, and decided to reinstall windows 7 as it came with all the nonsense factory software installed.
The problem is I can't find a wireless network driver, the drivers CD I received with the laptop is useless and the official drivers on the dell website do not work either, I do not know which network card I have, so I downloaded a software which would tell me all the hardware in the laptop but it ends up telling me I do not have a network card, but I definitely do have one because the wireless was working before the reinstallation of windows. So now I'm stuck with a laptop with no wireless, having to use an ethernet cable.
My laptop won't find an ip address and connect to the Internet right now I'm using my iPod. I know the Internet is working. I have a Dell inspiron 6400. Two days ago I had an Internet connection but I had to switch it so it would automatically find an ip address. I cAn get a connection at my moms house and it works just fine but any where else it can't find an ip adress. I've gone to start>run>cmd>ipconfic then I go type in that ip and it connects but won't let me connect on a browser or messenger.
My laptop won't find an ip address. I'm only 14 and I've tried everything I could think of.
