Gigaset SE567/8 - Computer Doesn't Connect To Internet On Startup
Sep 19, 2011
I'm running Vista on my Desktop, and the router is a Gigaset SE567/8 Series. Whenever I turn my computer on, it will connect to the network, but not to the internet. I get the caution symbol in the task bar with the network icon, and it show the "identifying ( mySSID )". I have to unplug the router for 30 seconds in order to make it work correctly. This router was just installed by my ISP the other day and its been acting this way since then.
My computer has started connecting to the internet on startup, I do not want it to do this, the answer i have already seen on here for this does not work, so how can I stop this?
My WRT54G2 v1 does not automatically connect to the internet on computer start-up. The computer will say "Connected, No Internet Access" In order to fix it I have to unplug the router and then plug it back in. This happens to any computer that tries to get online from a cold start-up. The router must always be unplugged, then plugged back in, then it will have internet access (and will generally maintain it throughout the session and even if the computer is restarted, i.e. warm boot). I have downloaded the latest firmware uprade.
When I fire up my PC, I cannot connect to the internet. Everything is plugged in properly, and I can ping my router and get a reply. I can even get on the internet just fine wirelessly with my netbook. To get the internet to work on my desktop, I have unplug my cable, disable my adapter, plug it back in and enable it.
My hp pavilion g6 has always had the problem of not connecting to internet after i restart it. It shows excellent signal but cant connect to internet. This has been the case on two different routers/modems with two seperate service providers, however the problem gets fixed by turning off then back on the modem/router.
I have been running my new PC for about 2 weeks now, absolutly fine, until last Saturday. When I started it up, it would not connect to the internet; so I looked into it, and found it had 'split' (is the best word I can describe it), the LAN connection into 2 seperate networks, (one of them, an Unidentified Public LAN) and couldn't connect to the internet on either of them. I figured after a few minutes of fiddeling, that the only way to prevent this from happening was to disable the Network Card and restart it.This is to say, when I go to the Network and Sharing Center, it will show two active networks, both of which cannot access the internet, both LAN. To get around it, I click on the Local Area Connection link for any of the networks, and click the 'Disable' button in the Status window.I then click connect/disconnect, and follow the troubleshooting to re-activate the connection, and it is fine.
My computer does not see the internet. If I do a restore to an earlier restore point, it can see the internet,, but when I do a restart it goes back to not allowing me to access it. The weather gadget cannot see the internet either. The OS is Win7 64.
I have a an HP Pavilion dv6000t notebook running Windows Vista.I have a wireless router at home and connect to the wireless signal using both this computer and my other computer that I use for work. Yesterday, out of the blue, my laptop stopped connecting to my home wireless signal. It detects the signal, but when I click on it to connect (something I shouldn't have to do, as it is configured to connect automatically), I get a message saying that it couldn't connect and suggests that the signal strength is low.I know that the signal strength is fine as I am connected just fine on my work computer.I can plug my laptop into the router using a cable and it connects just fine that way, so the only problem is with the wireless signal. I have restarted the computer, modem, and router, to no avail.
i have a avraetec 2200 sereis wich has a amd turion65 processer with windows xp professional and one day the internet didnt work and i looked at the activity it said aquiring network adress and it said sending packets but not receiving and its not a problem with wireless because i conected directlty to the modem and i had the same probem and also there are other devices conected to the modem and they hav
I have a printer connected to another computer (Win XP) and it wasn't showing up on the network so I followed some installation process to install a network driver or something. Now the printer is working fine. BUT... Now that computer is having internet problems. It connects to the internet fine but some programs say it doesn't. Like Microsoft Outlook. A message always shows up saying "Must work offline" or something. And I cant listen to some things on the internet because a message comes up saying you must connect to the internet.
My friend recently let me have his Seimens Gigaset SE567 modem which i needed cause it has a router but as soon as i switched it with my old router which is a Westell 6100f,the internet light wont show up ..so i contacted verizon and they said that there service is plug and play type of service so i am lost on what to do ..i looked around the forums and i got close by going to the browser and typing the IP but from there i am stuck ..i don't know how to set up any thing in the configurations.
Ive got a wireless router and until just recently my desktop was able to connect to my network automatically. I went into network settings and made sure the "connect automatically" was checked but it did nothing. I have to manually go in and connect every time even though it recognizes that there is a network to connect to.
So, brand new Inspiron n7110 lappy running Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit). Got it home, fired it up and found that it could see the network, but refused to actually do anything with it, or even cough up a specific error message other than 'Windows was unable to connect to (networkname)'.Fiddled with it for a while, entered and re-entered the passkey, mucked about with settings, made sure that the network name and whatnot were all entered correctly, and eventually got annoyed and simply disabled security. Lo and behold, it worked beautifully... sometimes. Connectability was still badly erratic (didn't get any unplanned disconnects, but when it booted up, it was pretty much even odds as to whether or not it would connect). But as soon as I re-enabled security (WEP, in this case.I suppose I really should figure out how to get WPA to work, but one problem at a time >.<)The router is a Siemens SE567.
Ive been reading the forums up and down about this device and i notice other threads with users having the "Exact" problem im having. Only problem is im noticing a simaalar theme to ech of those threads. The issue doesnt have a resolution.
With that said i figured i would give this a try regaurdless. The problem i have is very simple.
Windows 7 Yltimate 64 bit. Motherboard: ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO Proc: Phenom x6 Ram: 8 Gb
Ive tried all USB ports (2.0) on the computer and they all exibit the same said behavior. This being that when you turn the computer off, restart it, or put it to sleep...the AE1000 will not power on and has to be unseated from the USB port and then reseated before the device is seen by the system and then and only then does it fire up, connect and work perfectly.
The drivers i have used have been the ones off the CD, Then i removed those and downloaded the ones from the website. These drivers have been installed after removing the entry from device manager manually after attempts to use the normal method resulted in the same behavior.
Also i have installed this device on my Dell E6400, Dell D620 Running Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit and 64 bit and they also exibit the same exact behavoir.
My desktop doesnt connect to internet, but my internet works fine wid wi-fi systems like mobiles and tabs. IE/Chrome/Firefox all have the same prob. But when I remove the ethernet connection, shut down and then start my system and then connect the lan, all the 3 browsers work fine. I'm noticing this issue after I've uninstalled TuneUP Utilities trial pack and/or after I've installed LABTEC wireless Keyboard and mouse. Later on I've uninstalled the LABTEC software, but still its no use.
On my laptop, the wireless will show, "currently connected to my router", yet it says below, "there is no internet connection"...I have already replaced my router and modem recently..still no change...I'll reset the router and i'll have internet access for 30 minutes and it will log me off.
I have had this router and everything was working, I have moved and after getting my internet activated I proceeded to set-up a network in my new place. The setup process went smooth but even though I can connect to my network, I cant connect to the internet. I know my internet works as a direct connection through the modem works. I updated the firmware, I tried doing a factory reset on the router, basically did all the basic stuff that one would do if they had router troubles.
My DIR-601 doesn't connect to the internet. I connected it through a cable to the modem, and the router to the computer. It worked for an hour, I could even set up the wireless and it worked. Since, I cannot connect the comupter to the Internet through the router, even using the cables connection. I connect to the router, but the router does not connect to the Internet. The modem works properly.
I recently got a new laptop with Windows 7 running 64bit OS. Setup the laptop with no firewall and no Antivirus programs. After installing the Any connect 2.5 VPN application I was able to successful connect to our ASA. I noticed if my laptop went into standby mode or if I rebooted the laptop the "Cisco Anyconnect Agent" is not running under service even though it is set to Automatic.
I have uninstalled and reinstall with no success and have even tried the new version 3.x with the same result. If I go into services and start the anyconnect agent I can launch the application and connect to my company with no problems. I was able to replicate this issue on a co-workers new laptop running Win7 64 that has no applications on it.
My Belkin wireless usb network adapter isn't connecting to the internet. The router and everything is fine as other computers in the house are working. It's just one desktop pc that isn't connecting. Our internet was running slower than it should and that was because we had too many wires and so in order to speed it up we decided to use a wireless connection instead of an ethernet cable. The problem seems to be that the adapter just isn't connecting. The little icon showing the status of the connection keeps going back and forth from no connection to attempting to connect.
My desktop doesn't connect to the router and when i troubleshoot, it tells me that the ethernet cable is not plugges into the computer. But the ethernet cable is already plugged in. My two laptops have no problems connecting to the internet.
I recently bough a belkin router (Share N300) but it just wont connect to the internet. My setup is as follows:ADSL -> Modem -> Router -> PCThe internet works fine when I connect it directly to my PC (via the modem), and other PCs too.So no issue of MAC address lockdown.I've tried connecting through static mode with the data from ipconfig /all, but it still doesn't work.I've even installed DD WRT and Tomato to no avail.
Today, suddenly my internet went down so I checked up on it and I found out that something might be wrong with my router. I can connect just fine if I connect my computer with the modem directly but when I plug the modem to the router, I can connect to the router but it doesn't give me any internet.
I have been having difficulty connecting to the internet at my new place, I'm starting to think that the network card I recently bought (D-Link DWA-552 XtremeN Desktop Adapter) might have a problem, but I am not sure. I am currently using my landlord's internet, so I don't have access to the router to turn it on and off, which Windows suggests doing constantly, but I don't think that's the problem because I have internet on all my other wireless devices (Phone, PS3, Xbox).I am able to see the router most times and connect to it, but I am unable to connect to the internet, the networking image in the bottom corner has a yellow warning sign. Also, after a certain amount of time, the wireless card is unable to detect any wireless signal, the networking image in the bottom corner has a red X through it. I disabled all networking interfaces besides the wireless card because of an error message that I thought may have been caused by it: "This computer is continuously switching between two or more wireless access points or routers", but disabling the other interfaces did nothing and the message still appears after troubleshooting.
My computer doesn't want to connect to the internet via ethernet, however it will connect via wireless to the same network. Other computers on this network connect to the internet just fine.

I have a Motorola Docis Surfboard model Model SB6120 and can connect to the internet with the ethernet cable directly onto the labtop but if I connect it to the E4200 router the range is there but the internet connection is not. This happened 2 days ago and can't get the router to work.
I basically plugged it into my Verizon Fios router and downloaded the Cisco Connect application (since I have a macbook air which has no CD drive)
It sets up fine, I change my router name.... BUT at the end it says there is an issue of some sort. The Cisco Connect application reloads saying "repairing connection" but then does not repair it.
Not sure where to go from here. I also logged in to 192.168.1.1 but of course I do not know where to go from here. I also reset the router trying to start from new, but no dice.
My router was working till date. Due to some reason, I disconnected the internet cable and connected it. After that it does not connect to internet.Based on the forum I accessed 192.168.1.1, it displays the administration page. I have reset to factory settings and switched off the router for a while and turned it
