Route Add Command In Windows 7 Professional?

View 1 Replies1 computer (Computer A) has 2 NIC cards. 1 NIC card is on the LAN which connects out to the internet.1 NIC card is connected to another computer (Computer B) via crossover cable.
Assume Computer A NIC #1 IP:
1.1.1.2
Assume Computer A NIC #2 IP:
1.1.1.3

Computer A and B can ping each other on their connected NICs. But Computer B cannot ping Computer A's network/LAN facing NIC card. Also Computer B cannot connect to the network. I cannot use Microsoft ICS due to company policy. I think I can use the route command and have a persistent route that would allow computer B to connect to the company's network. Also the bridge command also seems disabled (even when I select both connections at once). How should I configure the route command? Should I have a default route?I assume from Computer B the default route would something like this:route add 0.0.0.0 mask 0.0.0.0 1.1.1.3Does the network connection from Computer A to B need a default gateway? Are there any extra commands aside from the default route which would allow full connectivity? I'm trying now just to be able ping Computer A interface #1 to/from Computer B. But no luck. I want to statically configure Computer B with the same DNS settings, and bring it up on the domain.
Is there a driver available yet for the External Dell Wireless card (model number D1450U) yet on Microsoft Windows XP Professional x64? I guess the better question is if there is a 64bit driver available for the external card yet?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI was recently given a computer from my workplace. I took this computer home, and put it in the place of my old one. The internet connection on my old computer has always been fine; all cables are connected correctly. However, this computer from work will not connect to the internet. The icon in the bottom right corner of the screen states that I am connected, but the internet browser claims that it is unable to display web pages. May the cause of this be related to any unique computer settings that a workplace may have on a computer in their network? Other computers have no problem connecting to the internet through the same, wired connection. The OS is Windows XP Professional.

But I purchased this unit to be able to test a clients 5GHz system. There does not seem to be any place to switch from 2.4G to 5.0G.
I cant install drivers for Windovs XP both 32-64 Professional. Original CD tells me for x64 OS is not supported, also, when trying to install only drivers it just can't find it. For x32 same problem - can't install drivers. I've got Intel DP45SG.

It seems the problem is in the certificate, but I verified and Cisco client says it's ok. It's also the only valid certificate in MMC->Certificates->Personal.Furthermore, also using other smartcard (etokens) of other users it doesn't work.
I have an 877 router which has a DSL WAN interface. The DSL service at this site is unreliable, so the company have purchased a separate 3G router to be used as a backup. This device maintains 3G connectivity at all times and has a static IP on the internal subnet (for arguments sake let's say 10.0.0.253).
What I want to do with the Cisco router is to track the DSL interface and if it is up, install a default route pointing to it. If it is down, I want the default route to be the 3G router.
I am thinking the best way to do this is to set up a track and then set 2 default routes; one which is installed if the tracking is up, the other has a higher admin distance and points to the 3G router and thus should only be used if the track is down. For example:
track 10 interface Dialer0 ip routing
delay down 30 up 30
ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 Dialer0 track 10
ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 10.0.0.253 100
Is this likely to work or is there a better way to do it?
I have cisco switch 3550 IOS Version 12.1(19)EA1c.
I can configure route-map commands on that. but i can not apply that into any vlan interface. while i try to apply the following command ( ip policy route-map PBR) on VLAN int i get an error msg saying that the command is not recognized.
We have two catalyst 3560 switches running c3560-ipbasek9-mz.122-58.SE2.bin They are connected using etherchannel using gi 0/21 - 24 interfaces.
on 3560-1 switch, there isn't any ip-default gateway or ip route configured. It only have 1 interface vlan configured.
on 3560-2 switch, there is ip default gateway configured along with 1 interface vlan.
What i dont understand here is that, i can reach out to other subnets from 3560-1 switch in which the routing is not enabled?

View 3 Replies View RelatedFirst this is my setup, i have a 100x100 mb fiber pipe at a location i am working at. i am comming out of a cisco fiber router to ethernet. i am coming straight from the fiber switch to the computer at a 1gb connection. So my problem is when i try to upload to my ftp server via windows explorer i can never get about 1.5mb, but if i upload via command prompt it goes at about 60mb upload, so the pipe is good. So you say why dont you just use the command prompt, well i have specialized gear here that run xp emmbedded and it does this via the windows explorer. I have tried 4 other computers and they all do the same thing. I tried a UDP video stream and worked at over 10mb stream. but all the ftp uploads cap out at 1.5mb.

View 1 Replies View RelatedFor the moment we have a router Lynksys RV042 , and we want to change it with an Router Cisco 891 .I have configured our new router Cisco 891 using Cisco configuration Professional because I am not an cisco expert:
I have configured : DHCP, DNS, NAT, Firewall (I have selected : Advanced , Low Security) . I have tested the new router and :
- Internet is working
- We can send Emails, Receive Emails from Outlook
- Our Web sites cand be accessed from the outside .
- File Share is working
We have 2 problems
1. Can't Access from inside the network : our public ips configured in the NAT : **.***.**.150 .
When we try : ping **.***.**.150 , we receive : Request Timed Out .When we try ping 192.168.1.2 , everything it's ok.When we try ping from outside of the network , everything it's ok.
PS : I want to mention that : if I put back the old router I can access our public IPs.
2. When I send Emails to yahoo and access View Full Header I receive : dkim=temperror (key retrieval failed)
------------------------------------------------------------------
Received-SPF: pass (domain of ********.com
designates **.***.**.150 as permitted sender)
Authentication-Results: mta1036.mail.ac4.yahoo.com from=********.com; domainkeys=pass (ok); from=********.com; dkim=temperror (key retrieval failed)
Received: from 127.0.0.1 (EHLO mail.********.com ) (**.***.**.150)
[code]....
I think our Email Server (Smarter Email) is using the ip Adress: 127.0.0.1 (Please look in the attachement) and this ip is restricted from the firewall (ccp in zone to out zone : Drop : 127.0.0.0/0.255.255.255) (generated by Advanced firewall > Low Security) .How can I set that to work ? Can I delete that row ?
I have 2 NICs in my Windows 7 PC at work.NIC #1 connects to our private network and is also how I connect to the internet. NIC #2 connects to our customer's network and does not allow internet connectivity for me.When I first boot up my Windows 7 machine I get the following info in route print:Despite the fact that I have a persistent route with metric 1 to send my internet traffic to the 172 subnet, the internet requests go to the 10 subnet. I am guessing that is because the non-persistent route to the 10 subnet has a metric of 20 vs. the 21 for the 172 subnet. I delete the route 0.0.0.0 mask 0.0.0.0 10.242.1.254 and I am able to connect to the internet again.HOWEVER, after something like 4-6 hours, (without rebooting) the bad route automatically reappears in my route table! I become aware of it because I suddenly have connectivity problems. There are no entries in the Windows Logs that seem to be related (i.e., no DHCP renewal requests.) so I do not know how or why it reappears.
