D-Link DIR-615 :: Error 322 - Can't Get Any Internet Access Through The Router?
Jul 27, 2012I've had my DIR 615 router for quite some time. The hardware version is C1, firmware 3.01 originally. It's been fine for the most part (asides from connection issues now and then with the internet - which we rectified by unplugging modem and/or router). A couple nights ago we had a storm and the next morning the router would not connect to the internet. I tried unplugging the router and modem a number of times but could never establish a connection. The internet globe LED was originally orange but after I cut off the power, it never came back on. I tried a number of different cables between the modem and router and could not fix the issue. I bypassed the router totally and the internet works fine. After a lot of failed attempts, I decided to reset the router and reinstall it with the disc. I followed the instructions and kept getting error 322 that the router could not be found. I tried 3 different computers and 5 different wires to fix the problem but to no avail. I kept encountering the same error on each computer. Since the router can't be seen, I must bypass it totally to get any internet access so trying the online setup doesn't work because I can't connect to the router and then to the modem since there is no internet access. So now I'm stuck. I'm not sure if my router is damaged from the storm. All other lights work (LAN and wireless icon) but I can't get any internet access through the router. I'm not sure if I should just go buy another router or not. The installation checks out fine until connecting power to the router and then it can't be found.
I am running windows 7 and vista on different computers and laptops and used setup 4.1.7141.2
Linksys Wireless Router :: E1200 V2 / Getting Error Access Restrictions
May 15, 2012I had a E1200, I read the articles from the support about the routers, I think the "access Restrictions" has more flexible to setup on for the parental control, after chated to cisco support person online, I was told that the E1200 v2 has this "access restrictions" function, and I wan convinced to purchase from them. I did. I got the E1200 v2 recently, however, after I installed the CD and found there is no "access restrictions" tab, instead the "access policy" is still there. by the way the firmware is 2.0.02 now. How to get the "access restrictions" from setup? I've chatted with cisco support person twice again, but nobody can fix the problem, one suggested to restart and reinstall the CD. I uninstalled the software, restarted the computer and reinstalled the CD. same problem, no tab of "access restrictions".

Aug 31, 2011I have a Buffalo WHR-G125 router which was given to me for free by my ISP for being a loyal client. At home I have a computer, a laptop and a netbook. The router is connected to the computer and I have no trouble accessing the Internet on all three of these devices. I can open pages, download etc.
However: However if I decide to host a server on some game, my friends cannot connect. After doing some research, I found out that certain ports are "closed" (whatever that means) and I need to open them in order for everything to start working again."
Anyway, I checked the infamous site "portforward.com" for instructions on how to open these ports. It was all fine and dandy, until the point where they stated I need to access my router settings page ("default gateway" or whatever, you'll have to excuse my ignorance). I entered "ipconfig" in cmd and it turns out my default gateway is 192.168.1.1. So I entered this in the URL bar of my browser and got a nasty surprise:
"404 Not Found The requested URL was not found"
I am truly stumped. The address is not accessible on neither the computer, nor the laptop or the netbook. I tried some automatic port forwarding software, but it didn't seem to do anything for me.
The only reason for this I can think of is that my ISP is probably blocking the router settings page for some reason (and how unfortunate, I can't even complain, because it's free, after all).
I tried asking on the official Buffalo forums and even tried asking for support and got pretty much the same message: "Try resetting. However, if it's flashed, you can't do anything.".
Not exactly sure what to do right now. My worries:
1.) I'm not even exactly sure how to reset the darn router
2.) I'm scared that reseting won't do a thing and even if it does, I'm not sure I'll be able to reconfigure the entire thing by myself and the worst case scenario, not having internet at all.
Is there any way to access the friggin router settings page?

The error occured after enabling the "Local Management Access, Access via: HTTPS" option on the Administration > Management tab.I tried different browsers FireFox (version 10), Internet Explorer (version 8,9), the same error was displayed and no acces granted to the E3200 router. I reseted the router and tried the latest firmware 1.0.03 build 9 Feb 1, 2012, but after enablib the option the issue occured again and it is not possible to connect to the router.

Jan 22, 2012I upgraded my old Linksys wrt54g to the E1500. All the XP os are connected via cable and wireless connection, but the Vista laptop i get local access only connection error. This laptop used to connect on the older router using wep but with E1500 wpa-2 it cannot connect. I am unable to ping the router from the laptop wireless. Connecting ethernet cable it works fine and logging in as a guest works does too.

Can't Access Favorite Website - Error 400 Bad Request
Jul 28, 2012I have been unable to access a frequently used website (by me) for well over a week. Every time I attempt access I get this error message:

PC clone, 4GB, Windows 7 64-bit. Is it possible that my 64-bit version is at fault? I have had some problems with it since I upgraded form the 32-bit version.

Edimax 11n USB Wireless LAN - No Internet Access / DNS Connection Error
Dec 29, 2012I use an Edimax 11n usb wireless lan utility to connect to my router. It gets 60% signal strength and 100% link quality. Either i get disconnected, limited access or no internet access statuses every other hour or not at all. Its intermittent which makes it impossible to explain to the internet provider. The main error that comes up when windows diagnoses is "DNS connection error". Now the internet provider has shown me how to manually set the router to use specific DNS's and that still did nothing.

Never had an issue before up until now.

Mar 23, 2013When I set up the Belkin F9K1102 as an access point I can no longer access it via the ip-address and it does not accept the new ip-address I've given it, but takes the ip-address 192.168.2.254, while my network is on the 192.168.1.XXX address series. The only way I can do this is by manually given the router a new address, then manually turn of the DHCP- server and finally move the internet cable from the WAN port to one of the LAN ports - but then the LED-indicator on the router is blinkin red.

I drove last night to my mother's house and proceeded to connect to her own wifi router wirelessly. Although my sister's computer that's on windows 7 connects ably, and both our iPhones connect, my computer will not. My computer finds the network( it is unsecured without a password if that makes a difference ) connects, receives an ipv4 address in ipconfig, yet does not obtain Internet access. It labels the network as an "unidentified network".

Cisco Routers :: RVS4000 - Internet Access / Broadcast Error
Jul 29, 2012I recently bought an RVS4000, and unfortunately forget the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" rule, and flashed it to the latest firmware (2.0.2.7). Subsequent to doing that, it has been inconveniently dropping the connection to my ISP and completely locking itself up to a point where a manual reboot is required, usually about 4 hours after any outgoing activity (which usually means 11pm!).
Goggling my way round seems to suggest that this could be a firmware problem. The accepted wisdom is that I need to use the RVS4000 Upgrade Utility to get back to a lower version, so I have downloaded and installed V1.3 from the RVS4000 support area. However, though I think I followed the instructions (including trying setting the host PC to a fixed IP address, which was not supposed to be necessary), but I am consistently getting a "Broadcast Error" message, which I am guessing means that the utility and the RVS4000 aren't talking.

Linksys Access Point :: WAP54G Can't Connect To Cisco E1000 - Error 22?
Mar 3, 2011For two years I had a 2-Wire home portal from AT&T for my DSL line. I also have DirecTV with a DVR that has an ethernet port to download video on demand from the internet. I bought a Linksys WAP54G to use as a pass-thru to the DVR and it has worked perfectly for the entire time. I remember that the setup was a nightmare, so I saved the settings in case I lost them.
when I connected the new E1000 router to a Netopia DSL modem, I decided to reconfigure the WAP to use the new router. I recovered the configuration file and the only thing that I had to change was the MAC address for the new router which I used with the Linksys' web-based setup tool. I used the network discovery and selected the new router. All of the settings including the router name, default gateway, and static address for the WAP54G were the same.But, when I go to the setup page for the DirecTV DVR and perform a network test, I get an OK connect to the local network, but an error22 and fail to connect to the Internet. Of course, going to the help page on the DVR for that error only gives the lame troubleshooting such as, is the router plugged in? Is the ethernet cable connected? etc.
I know that when I had to set it up with the original 2-wire portal, I had a lot of tweaking to do in the advanced wireless settings. I'm trying to setup using the WAP54G as a pass-thru bridge for DirecTV.
Cisco Firewall :: 5540 - Extended Access-list Error Using FQDN
Nov 7, 2011I'm trying to add an access-list rule to allow internal servers to connect an outside host on a asa 5540. The hostname translates to multiple ip's. Normally I just lookup the ip address or one of the ip's the hostname translates too and use that in the access-list as the host. For some reason the actual ip's, which are a few, are not always available so using a specific ip sometimes does not work, thus the reason I have to use the hostname instead of the ip. I have 2 hostnames. www.hostname.com and subdomain.hostname.com.
This is how I normally add these rules (the ip addresses are fictive): access-list internet_access extended permit tcp host 192.168.50.5 host 84.115.57.121 eq www log
When I try to add this using the hostname on our asa I get an error: access-list internet_access extended permit tcp host 192.168.50.5 host www.hostname.com ?ERROR: % Unrecognized command
I've tried it without the 'www', so hostname.com but same error.

Jan 2, 2011I'm working on implementing a RADIUS authentication for wireless access with the following :
- PCs running Windows 7, protocol used is PEAP (without validating the server certificate to make it simple at first),
- AP 1252 configured to use a RADIUS server to authenticate (it's working good with an ACS server 4.2),
- ACS Server 5.1.0.44.5 running as VM connected to an AD domain and working good with VPN connections,
- AD domain running on Windows 2003 Server.
My ACS VM is working good since a couple of months for VPN (RADIUS) and administration (TACACS) remote access, both using Active Directory. Now, I'd like to use it to authenticate people connecting to a 1252 Cisco access point but I'm getting this error "24427 Access to Active Directory failed". I switched from PEAP to LEAP but this is the same.

Cisco Firewall :: 5520 High Memory Usage And Error Creating Access Rules
Feb 13, 2013I'm having a problem with the memory and also trying to create some rules on the CISCO ASA. The version that I got installed was the 8.2.5.33 on a CISCO 5520 with 512 RAM, the memory usage is on 99% used, 1% free and because of that when I'm trying to create a new rule the firewall brings me the next error..So what I did was a downgrade to the version 8.2 (4) 4 and the memory went down a little (82% used, 18% free) but I still got the error when I'm creating an access rule on the device. One thing and I'm not sure if this could affect on the performance are the number of access list and the object groups that are created.
I already open a case with CISCO TAC and they are checking if the problem is with the memory capacity or maybe a memory leak.Also the doubt that I got is with the memory that I got now available should I can create access rules or 82 is still to hig to create a rule or and object group?
