I just bought a Huawei E586 Mifi from 3 network in the UK and installed a 32GB micro-SD card. I want to be able to access this card wirelessly, but the "dashboard" (web interface control panel) that is installed doesn't have an option for the SD card. I have seen dashboards on the Internet and also a video on Youtube that do have this option, so I know this can be done.
I picked a threeHUAWEI E586, but after that i found this on mobile2wifi.co.uk that's fully unlocked, so that i wanna to do unlocked solution for mine, it could be compatible with more network
I moved into a new apartment in Mexico City a month ago. The internet, already installed when I moved in, comes through a device called a Huawei EchoLife HG8427. For the first month of my residence, the internet worked perfectly. Suddenly, on a recent day, I was no longer able to connect to the internet, though I was still connected to the network. This problem has persisted for some time now.I have tried just about everything that I know how to, including restarting the modem, fiddling with my IPv4/6 settings, disabling/enabling my connection, disabling my firewall, ipconfic/flushdns/registerdns, ipconfig/reset/renew, and probably a few other things that I have now forgotten.
My computer, a Toshiba NB505 running Windows 7 Starter 32-bit, has no problem connecting to the internet via other networks. Ping tests show that I am indeed connected to the network and have no OS problems. I do not have any McAffee software (I read somewhere that this was a problem for some people). I cannot do a hard reset because the modem does not belong to me and serves several other people living here (this is sort of a short-stay guesthouse). This afternoon, the map on my network and sharing center briefly showed a successful internet connection (for about 10 minutes). During that time, however, I was still unable to connect to the internet and when I restarted my computer, it was back to showing a broken connection.Windows IP Configuration
I recently got a new laptop, but it won't connect to my network. All my other devices do and all my roommates hadn't experience any problems either. My laptop can also connect to the network of my school. My laptop is a HP Elitebook 8560w with windows 7 Enterprise SP 1(64-bit). I believe my router is a Huawei HG655D.
I am trying to make my WampServer public but nothing i have tried so far seems to be working. It was all good and well before i got a new router from my new provider.
The router is a Huawei HG523a & my ISP is TALKTALK.
These are the settings i have for the port forwarding. Advanced->Advanced->NAT->Port Mapping
I have reserved the IP address 192.168.1.2 for my computer under Advanced->Basic->LAN->(Ip address Reserve).
I believe this is all i need to do for the router side of things.
Now for Apache: The .httpd file...
Listen 192.168.1.2:80
And that's everything. The problem is that when i put in my public IP address its not forwarding to my WampServer. its just going to the routers log-in page. If i put in my local ip then i get my servers webpage like i should.
I have two Dell latitude xpi computers that I am trying to get to the internet. Both work well except for making the connection to the internet. The w95 computer is using version 4.0a. I am using a Netgear ma401 pcmcia card. When looking at the the signal strenght it says excellent and everything seems go until you click IE icon (5.5). I comes back stating that it could not connect. The same is true for the w98SE machine. Same wifi card and same results. The card is good and the computer is good, but I have not set something correctly.
I'm working on a distribution config for some routers with a software IPS. The problem I'm running into is the final [confirm] during setup. Is there any way to disable confirm messages in IOS?

The first was "The default gateway is not available, the second was Local Area connection doesn't have a valid ip configuration. Here's what Ive tried so far.I tried in safe mode. Ethernet works here so I assume is a software issue?Uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers. disabled and enabled, nothing..I tried going into configure network card and giving Network Address a random 12 digit value and that failed.Ive tried updating the drivers but I cant because Dell wants me to their download manager into the computer that has no internet to download the drivers /facepalm..I basically ran out of ideas. This is a Dell Studio laptop. It has 2 network cards a wireless and a Ethernet, the ethernet card is a Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller, The wireless DW1501 Wireless-N WLAN Half-Mini Card
I am connected to the internet using a Huawei wireless USB modem connected to my desktop computer(no other type of service available) I would like to set up a Wifi home network so that I can connect using Wifi to all of the other gadget that I have in the house. So the question is can I connect a Wifi router using a ethernet cable comming from my desktop computer? and if so what router would you recommend for this application?
I have a wireless modem/router that I connect to my PC thru USB cable and working fine. I newly installed Lan Card (Realtek RTL8139/810x Family Fast Ethernet NIC) and it doesn't connect to internet. It says connected with 100Mbps but Received data bytes are ZERO.
I did ipconfig/all and got all static address I had given while setup. When I "ping 127.0.0.1" it works fine. When I ping 'default gateway IP' it also sends/receives data. When I try to install the driver I got in the CD along with the LAN card, it says "you have already installed recent driver needed etc. " and doesnt allow me to install from the CD. Currently it shows 'Driver Used as : c:windowssystem32driversRtnicxp.sys'
I think I am having problem with my network card I am running windows 7 with Dell wireless 1390 WLAN Mini-Card lots of times the signal is low and I get the error message no internet connectivity or some other error message that I am not being able to connect to the network provided by my wimax modem, Is there any program that I can download to test if there are any errors related to the network card or any way to fix this?
Cannot get my Intel WiFi Link 5300 wireless card to install properly on my my Latitude 6500 using XP SP3. I can go to the Intel website and download the latest driver but once everything has been downloaded and ran, then restarted the wireless icon says that my driver is not installed.
I tried to bridge two wireless routers wirelessly, but after extensive research I came to the conclusion that this wasn't possible.
Now I am trying to connect these two routers through a cat5 cross-over cable and I wanted to know whether can I disable DHCP on the router which has internet, and enable the DHCP of the router which is connected to the printers, because I have a few systems that shouldn't be connected to the internet.
What I had in mind is if I switch the DHCP OFF on the internet router and turn it ON on the Huawei B683 router, I could add those devices' MAC addresses to the internet gateway router to deny them access to the internet..?

A week ago I couldn't use wireless on my hp laptop. I have netgear76 and win 7. now the only way I can access is via Ethernet. I've tried the netgear genie instructions and reset the router and as soon as I remove the Ethernet cord i'm no longer connected.
Have completed a Power Cycle. The affected machine is a HP Elite m9150F desktop. The symptoms include the following:

The affected pc (HP m9150f) is also connected to router with a LAN connection. The D-link Dir-615 wireless router is connected to a Shaw Motorolla modem model SB5102. The HP m9150f stopped connecting a few days ago, other than that, it worked fine.how I managed to get 4 computers running on a network in the first place..

I had configured the AAA server on CoovaAP and was able to access the internet.I had configured the user name and password as a "testuser" and "password" respectively. With that user id i used to access the Coova AP router and internet. Now i want restore the WRT54GL firmware on Lynksys router. But with the used id and password which i had configured the router is not at all accessible. So i did 30-30-30 reset on the router 2-3 times. Now i can see openwrt login page with 192.168.1.1 IP address. It is asking for user id and password. I tried all the combinations of user id and password, but no luck. I browsed some link on the internet and some people have recommended that default user id as a "root" and blank password. But with that also the router is not accessible. I cant to do much on the router untill i will log in to router. I have spent lot of time on this. How to restore back the original WRAT54GL firmware on my router. Anyhow i want WRAT54GL firmware on Lynksys router
I have 3 desk tops and 1 Laptop. the desk tops are wireless connected via my Xfinity ( cable Modem) and a Trendnet 652- 300 mgb router setup. Recently installed the Trendnet router ( initially w/o security). I was able to readily connect to and access all pcs to Internet. However, recently went to Trendnet on line site and installed Router password security. Was able to connect and access the Internet on 2 of the 3 desktop pcs as well as the Laptop. However, 1 desktop ( running on Windows XP Professional, 5.1.2600 SVCPK 3, Optiplex G x 60 ) does not permit access to Internet. Once I get to the screen asking for the password ( network key) , I insert same I receive an error message stating "Network key s/b WEP pr a WPA key".
My Linksys Routers IP is 192.168.1.1 am unable to access the console, although i changed the computers IP 192.168.x.y. i have tried by Hard Resetting the Router but still the same?
I can not connect to my home wireless network (we did change routers back in Dec and did at that time have problems as well getting it to connect) the router is a Linksys E2000.when I checked further I saw that the IP address was different than the ones on my other laptops so I changed those settings by adding the new IP address..
I have just got a new laptop from work (Lenovo T410) but cannot seem to access the internet via wireless at home. The wireless mode at home is 802.11n. On my previous laptop (a Lenovo T60), I had to buy a belkin N Wireless USB adapter and used that. But I don't think I need to use it on the T410, right? When I switch the T410 on, the Access Connections box comes on and I can see all the different wireless networks available and they have good strength, but I just cannot connect, I don't know why? I have entered the 10 digit encryption key.
I am unable to connect to my home wifi from my laptop but it connects fine at work. All other devices (2 androids and 1 laptop) are able to connect to the home network. My laptop used to connect intermittently earlier - sometime the connection would be restored when i reset the router or restarted the laptop but now I'm just not able to at all. The message i get is either "Limited Access" or "Unidentified Network. No internet access" - the signal strength always is excellent. I have tried switching off and on the wireless router, have disabled and then enabled the wireless connec on the laptop, have reconfigured the wireless network on the router with a new network name and password but nothing works. However I am able to connect to the internet using the network cable - there were a few times where I couldn't do that either. I've tried browsing on several forums to get answers but haven't found any yet. [code]
I am unable to access the internet even though my wireless connection shows as active and strong. I tried the connection hard wired, but still no access. I ran a malware detector and removed two items, still no internet availability. What should I do?The trouble shooting device says "Firewall may be preventing your program from running". I have McAffee security system installed.
Just to set the stage, we used to have a network which ran in the following order:
For wired workstations: bridged DSL modem->wireless Linksys E900 router->Dell PowerConnect 2824 switch->2 modular 4-port jacks->individual workstations For wireless: bridged DSL modem->wireless Linksys E900 router->workstations The workstations were set up to pick up IP addresses automatically. After an infrastructure upgrade where we added some Cat6 cables and swapped the modular jacks for a patch panel, we lost all connectivity. I restored the connectivity to the wired workstations by assigning IP addresses. But we have no wireless and I cannot access the router GUI at its IP address (even when plugged directly into the router). All the workstations show the default gateway as 192.168.10.1, so I don't know what's going on.
