I can't seem to be able to access my wireless routers settings on my iMac, whenever I type my router's ip adress in my browser's adress bar it's unable to connect. According to the network settings menu my router's ip adress is 78.21.0.1, I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have been working on figuring out a VPN problem on my companies ASA5510. I was accessing the device via: ASDM, SSH using Putty, and even initially with a console cable (also using Putty) using a computer in the networking closet. All 3 of these access methods worked properly for me.I believe I may have inadvertently changed something as of Friday using ASDM. I am mostly assuming this because, as of yesterday I can no longer connect to the device. I actually cannot even communicate with it (ping the interface I normally use to manage, which I could previously ping). No computer on the same subnet as me is able to ping the interface. The device is still accepting VPN connections, dishing out DHCP addresses and everything else it normally does, but I really need to be able to gain access to it again. I am thinking to reboot the device when there is some downtime, in the hopes that ASDM doesn't save to startup-config and only to running-config.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI've been trying to configure a TP-Link L-WR740N to act as an access point using the instructions here as a guide. As stated in the guide, I've been changing the IP address of the TP-Link router to a new address that lies outwith the pool of available DHCP addresses in my combined modem/router but with less than resounding success. After rebooting the TP-Link router, I am unable to access the set-up interface - the newly allocated IP address doesn't work, neither does the original IP address work. What is happening here? If I change the IP address to one that lies within the DHCP pool and reboot, I can access it ok with the new address. However, that obviously clashes with the set-up instructions.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI can't access the bvi interface I use to manage the AP1261N from an IP address that is not in the same subnet of the bvi interface. The AP is configured as root bridge. Obviously I've the same behaviour for the non-root AP connected to it. For sure it's an ap configuration problem as other devices in the same vlan (vlan1) are reachable by the vlan I'm connected to. This is the conf:

Before I get to the stage where I have to reset the whole thing and re-do the configuration completely ? I tried powering off and powering on as well as restarting all the switches etc... but I get the same result.
i cannot access the web managemnet interface of this router from a different subnet.THe WAN interface is a 4G LTE connection,I have disabled both the SPI firewall and NAT and enabled remote management from any ip address but i cannot access the admin web page from a remote subnet.Doing a port scan of the routers WAN or LAN address i cannot see any ports open at all...its as if firewall or NAT is still enabled somehow.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to setup the VPN access using QVPN with RVS4000 but ran into difficulties I was able to connect to the router using QVPN from WAN, and able to access the router's admin page (my router's ip is 192.168.0.1). However, I am unable to access anything else on the LAN, including servers and printers. To make it clear, I am able to access all servers and printers when I am on the LAN! But nothing when accessing from the WAN via QVPN.

View 1 Replies View RelatedVery recently, we had implemented Site-to-Site VPN tunnel between two Linksys RV042 4-port VPN routers. Everybody in our remote site is accessing and sharing the data through this tunnel and it is working fine.
Now, we have a plan to implement the same for our mobile clients also. For this, we had followed all the basic configuration procedures and user got connected to Quick VPN tunnel. Here is a problem we had observed. The mobile client user is connected to the tunnel, but unable to access the office LAN from the PC.
I've encountered a problem when using PPTP VPN to access my network. I can connect in and able to ping the hosts connected to the RV110W. [code] On the local network, I am able to ping the hosts in 192.168.250.x from 192.168.251.x and vice versa.Static routes are configured to ensure that all networks are reachable.The problem comes when I tried to VPN (PPTP) in from a remote location using the Windows XP's built in default VPN dialer.When connected, I can ping all the hosts on 192.168.254.xxx segments, but when I tried to ping the hosts in 192.168.250.xxx and 192.168.251.xxx segments, I get a request timeout.
The routing table on the RV110W shows the gateway for 192.168.254.240 (the VPN IP address) as 0.0.0.0 and interface is WAN.What am I missing and how should I configure the RV110W so that I can access the other subnets through VPN?
Although I hasten to point out that I have owned and used an 'IBM' type PC since 1988 and have always managed to get things configured correctly until NOW!
Apart from the last time I tried to use a Linksys product. I had the WRVS4400N recommended to us by a friend as we run a small FTP server to share promotional materials amongst sales operatives around the world, wanted to protect it from intrusion and was told that a Cisco Linksys product with a VPN was the way to go.
I duly purchased a WRVS440N and have been trying to log into the admin console via both browsers (IE9 and Google Chrome) that are installed on a laptop running Win7 which in turn is the only thing connected to the stated device via ethernet port 1... I have tried accessing it via http://192.168.1.1 and have even tried a suggestion from another forum to try https://192.168.1.1 - this only results in my being told that the address does not have a trusted certificate and I even tried every suggested workaround...
I have tried all kinds of reset periods from 10 seconds to a minute, both hot and cold and each time the result is the same - I type in 'admin' and 'admin' in the appropriate boxes and the dialogue box continues to return to the browser window with empty fields...
The shame is that I have managed to re-flash a BT Voyager 190 ethernet modem successfully with DynaLink v3.29a firmware (which allows it to be used with any ISP besides AOL [for whom this modem was solely intended]) and can set it up as a DHCP server, non-DHCP with a single link to another server or non-DHCP and no link.... The point is the modem works... I'm using it right now to type this! We have a single static IP from our ISP and the BT modem is working just fine (as is the TP-Link wireless modem/router that the WRVS4400N was intended to replace)... there are other options in it's firmware for port forwarding, etc and I'm convinced that it wil be adequate for use in conjunction with the WRVS4400N.
I have to concede that the WRVS4400N was not sold to us as NIB; it was sold as re-conditioned and was shipped to or via Ingram Micro Distribution from Cisco Systems, Veldweg 3, Herkenbosch 6075 NL (Holland) via UPS on or about the 31st of July, 2012... there is a shipping label on the original packaging that tells me that so it has in fact been back to Cisco at some point and for some reason.
to enable UPNP on a Virgin Media Super Hub, I have tried using both the IP addresses provided by Virgin media (192.168.0.1 and 192.168.100.1) but regardless of which browser I use the page constantly fails to load.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWe have an RV016 (hardware version 2, firmware version 3.0.2.01) behind a cable modem. Attached to this RV016 is a switch to which our other devices are connected. Among those is another switch, a wireless access point and our VOIP phone system.
The issue with this setup seems to be as follows:
The Mac machines at our office seem to be unable to get internet access reliably. What we have observed is that a connection to the wireless access point is made. Google will load fine, then when performing a search it comes back with either a dns lookup error or just says that the site can't be found. Sometimes sites will load just fine, sometimes they don't. Our Windows or Ubuntu machines in our office hardly ever have that issue, but they do on occasion. Essentially internet is usable on Windows and Ubuntu, but not on a newer Mac. Mainly three Macs are affected that run a newer OS. Two other Macs (older OS) seem to be fine. My coworkers (who have that issue at work) report that at home they do not.
The DNS servers on the router were set to our ISPs addresses. I have since changed them to opendns servers. The issue persists.
When connecting a MacBook directly to the cable modem, everything works fine. Since we are using NAT, I do need to use the router. There are devices attached to it that these users need to be able to get to.
I have two offices connected with an IPSEC VPN tunnel using RV220W routers. The Tunnel works fine for local users between the two sites(Site 1:10.0.0.x; site 2 is 10.0.2.x). I have also set up PPTP users for remote access. PPTP users that connect to site 1 cannot access site 2 and vice versa. The PPTP users have no trouble accessing the resources on the site that they connect to. I have tried activating RIP and adding various static routes with no success. If I PPTP connect to site 1 and I tracert to an IP address on site 2 the route goes to the site 1 router and then goes to the internet(connected to the site 1 router) where it stops.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an RV042 using Quick VPN to connect to a remote network. I have port 1723 forwarded to a static IP address on a Windows 7 Pro 64 bit PC. I can establish the VPN and ping a printer but not the Win 7 PC. I can not acccess any shares on the pc via the IP address. It has Norton Antivirus and Windows Firewall. This remote PC replaced a Windows xp PC that allowed access to the shares. I have tried access with a Windows XP Pro and Windows Vista Home Premium PC. Neither have worked.

For reasons I will explain in a separate thread, following a firmware upgrade to version 2.00.21, I am no longer able to connect to my WRT300N using the web interface. The device seems to be working fine (but for the lack of the web config access.) I'm loathe to leave it "inaccessible" and would like to use the Setup CD-ROM described in the manuals to connect directly to the device to see if I can fix the problem.
I have been through my "filing system" (read "junk room") to try to find the original device packaging, wherein I am sure I would find the original CD-ROM. Is there anywhere I can download an image of the original Linksys Setup CD-ROM for the WRT300N version 2.0 device?

I just barely put in a Cisco 3925 on our network. I've configured gigabitethernet 0/2 to live on our management VLAN with an IP address of 10.129.0.31/16. I did a "no shut" on the interface. Everything should be ready to allow me to ping and/or SSH to that interface but I can't. It's really weird because I've done this a thousand times (at least on ASAs). I must be missing something. At any rate, the default gateway of the management VLAN is 10.129.0.1. I can ping that from the router. I can also ping that from my laptop (which lives on a completely different VLAN). But I can't ping the router from my laptop or vice versa.

one of my SNMP server 10.242.103.42 sits in MZ zone,and ACE 4710 is connected to core switch,coreswitch is connected to firewall asa.
Now iam trying to ping from MZ zone SNMP server to loadbalancer ip 10.242.105.1,iam unable to ping my LB interface to discover SLB on my SNMP server.
I've just reset our WISM2 in the test lab back to factory default as I needed to reconfigure the 6500 and the WISM2 itself. Bearing in mind I had it working before.I've just renamed and re-addressed some of the vlans so things flow better and make it easier to add more WISM2s in the future.Now I've run through the initial configuration and it's rebooted ok and show WISM status is showing Oper-Up and there's a port channel 407 been created as I would expect. However, I am unable to get to the management interface via GUI or SSH. In fact from the 6500 I can't even ping the management interface (but I can the service port).The Vlans have been changed in the 6500 config so it knows the native-vlan and service vlan etc and all the vlans are up/up.
