Siemens Gigaset SE587 WLAN Dsl Driver?
Jul 17, 2012How can I get a driver for this wireless modem? My netgear failed completely. I am using a neighbour's connection to get on to the internet, and tried to download a driver, but every link I could find wanted to search my computer for the hardware. Ridiculous! I need a driver to make it work, and if I plug the Siemens in I lose the connection to get a driver.

Mar 7, 2013I recently purchased a Wi-Fi repeater (Siemens Gigaset Repeater WLAN SE365) to boost my wi-fi signal throughout my house without having to drill through walls of concrete (with a boost in phone wi-fi in mind on the top floor of the house). I was advised to buy one specifically with the make and model of my router in mind, as connectivity might be an issue if these don't match up. I own a Siemens Gigaset SX55 router so there should be no issue there (I can use the repeater on 2 different frequencies, not sure which one is best, 2.4 or 5 ghz). The instruction manual told me to connect the repeater to my pc once (through use of an Ethernet-cable supplied) so I could alter the settings of the repeater to match with that of my router (same SSID, protection method, channel). Whereas naming it the same as the router by modifying the SSID and using the same ASCII WEP-protection password as the router were doable, I could not find an option to change a channel.
At this point the instruction manual was fresh out of ideas and told me that I had set up the repeater as it should be installed. After unplugging it from my pc and plugging the regular ethernet cable back in for internet (There is wi-fi coming from the router downstairs but also a cable through the house to the pc) I was ready to go and seeing the wi-fi bars on my phone jump up to maximum made me extremely happy. Unfortunately the phone (and the app Wifi Analyzer) did recognize the full signal but when trying to open sites or apps that use internet it responded as if it had no signal whatsoever

Jan 9, 2011I have a Dell Studio 1537 running on Windows Vista? my computer stopped being able to connect to the internet a few days ago and a "Dell Wireless WLAN Controller closed and stopped working" (or something along those lines) box would keep on popping up. I did some reading around on the internet and decided that maybe I needed to update the "drivers" for it so I went to the Dell website and downloaded the most recent version for my Dell Wireless 1510 WLAN mini card...that didn't seem to work any after I installed it. So I went ahead and uninstalled it (I assume I must have uninstalled something I shouldn't have) and now I'm stuck at the same problem. I can't connect to the internet!In Network Connections, it continually says that "Windows cannot find any networks". In Device Manager, under Network Adapters, it doesn't list the card there, although it lists "Broadcom Netlink (TM) Gigabit Ethernet". And from some suggestions I found on the net, I tried ipconfig/all in the comand promt and it says "media disconnected".

Mar 10, 2012I haven't installed anything new lately, nothing that would affect the wireless, but my wireless suddenly stopped working. My wireless has been working successfully for the past 2 years no problems till now. I have a Dell Latitude E6410 my computer is running Windows 7 32bit. When I open up the DW WLAN Card Utility it says "There are currently no wireless adapters available and enabled. Please enable any available wireless adapters before accessing this configuration utility. I tried reinstalling drivers for the wireless but my computer says "no compatible hardware found".
Also the under the wireless adapters section of Device Manager there isn't an adapter for wireless, but there is an unknown device.

Feb 6, 2010I regularly get this message (but not everytime) when I start up Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit.
"Dell Wireless WLAN Card Wireless Network Controller stopped working and was closed.a problem caused the application to stop working correctly. Windows will notify you if a solution is available."
Then I get this following message:"Solution Found: Address a problem with your WLAN card.Your WLAN card has stopped working properly. This is a network adapter that allows your computer to connect to a wireless network. To find out if an updated version of your WLAN card is available, contact your device or computer manufacturer."The strange thing is even though I get this message I am still able to connect to the internet via a wireless network. So there is no problem as such it is just annoying to keep getting this message when Windows starts up.I have checked on the DELL Support website and I do have the most up-to-date driver already (Or I think I do).

I have already deleted all "users" of our wlan at the Fritzbox-site. I also reinstalled some new drivers but they all didnt work. if i search for problems it says "problems with wlanadapter or router". I have also resetted router and adapter. OS: XP, Service Pack 3
WLAN/Driver: Atheros AR5007EG/v7.6.0.224
I've done the Recovery Console and performed the Windows Registry repairs. I've even reformatted the computer, but to no avail at all. And I've done all the basic troubleshooting and surfed forums for way too long and found no solutions.
So this is kind of a last ditch effort. It still connects to the internet via an ethernet cord, so all is not completely lost, but it kind of defeats the purpose of having a netbook without having wireless connectivity.

Feb 2, 2012I recently re-installed the driver for the 1390 WLAN Mini Card after not having wireless for a few years, and have a few problems. In the Windows XP Home Network Connections folder, the Wireless Network Connection Icon shows, "Acquiring Network Address", but never gets past that. I ran a diagnostic in the "Dell Wireless WLAN Card Utility" and the card passed all the tests, even though with the card switch in the on position the LED doesn't light (??)
When I right click on the Wireless Network Connection Icon and choose, "Status", in the "General" tab I can see that the card is sending out packets, but none are being received. In the "Support" tab under "connection status" the following appears: "Address Type": Invalid IP Address, "IP Address": 0.0.0.0, "Subnet Mask": 0.0.0.0, "Default Gateway": (nothing listed).
Background: I have a Desktop (no brand) and the Dell D820 connected with a Westell Modem and a D-Link WBR-1310 Router. Both computers work great connected to the Router with a cable. Both computers are running Windows XP Home.
The only thing I can think of (and I'm remembering this from 2007 when I purchased the Laptop and had a wireless set up for a short while), is that the Modem and Router were bridged, which is not the case now. Do they need to be bridged for the wireless connection to work? Is it not necessary anymore and something called "Double Netting" or something like that is used...

Sep 11, 2011I'm running a Windows Server 2008 R2 connected via cable to my RV220. The server is hosting several websites running in separate virtual machines. These websites are accessible through a reverse proxy set up on the 2008 R2. In addition the 2008 R2 provides access to storage over Windows file sharing (client backup, file sharing ...). Most of the clients are connected via wireless.My problem is that after some time (~24h) I lose the connection to the services provided by the 2008 R2 server as a result of (host) name resolution has stopped working. This only happens for wireless clients. Wired clients are not affected.To give more details: Network clients connected via wireless can't see clients connected via Ethernet and the network shares are not accessible anymore (even by putting in manually "\hostnameshare", but "\[IP address]share" still works). Being connected via Ethernet the communication between client and server works flawlessly - the server appears immediately on the network device list. The other way around is also not possible: the server can’t see clients connected via wireless. The reverse proxy is still accessible through wireless connection by putting in the IP address, e.g. "http://192.168.1.123/homepage" but "http://hostname/homepage" won't work.A restart of the router will fix things but only for the next couple of hours.

But for some reason when I'm using that wireless connector my computer won't connect to my router and give me a 192.168.0.x address, it gives me a regular IP address. I can surf the net and everything but I can't access files on other computers. But from it it'll allow me to connect to the router admin fine.Whenever I put the mac address in to my DHCP setting on my router it comes up * RESERVED INACTIVE * and never gives my laptop a local ip address.The other problem is on my 192.168.0.2 computer I've tried to set up port forwarding but it won't open the ports. My router is a Motorola SBG6580 provided by my cable company. This particular computer is connected by Ethernet and not Wifi if that makes a difference.

In general I have no problems with my WIFI with simple browsing and most of my routine activities online. But any time I stream video (like youtube), music or download a large file, my WIFI spontaneously turns off. I need to either restart the computer or put the computer to sleep/wake it up for the WIFI to work again.
I have the latest drivers for the Wireless card. I scanned the forums and didn't see this problem reported elsewhere. I realize this is an old computer so I may have to install an external wireless adaptor, but I wanted to ask around before doing so.

The machine was a clean build on a new disk about 2 months ago and all has been working well (excepting the Fujitsu HDD which seems to be going bad as I type, but that's a different issue!).i was offer via Microsoft Update: "Dell driver update for Dell TrueMobile 1300 WLAN Mini-PCI Card" 2 days ago (mid August 2009). This is a Dell supplied update distributed via MS. Also offered (and installed) at the same time was "Darfon - Other Hardware - Bluetooth Devices". Since installing these (and the installs reporting as completing correctly) I keep getting:Dell Wireless WLAN Card Wireless Network Controller encountered a problem and needed to close.and Dell Wireless WLAN Card Wireless Network Controller has encountered a problem and needs to close.rror dialogues. These pop up every 30 seconds or so and seem to be related to the Dell TrueMobile 1300 update.Looking in the Windows directory there is no uninstall directory for this update unlike the MS updates. So I now either need to:get the updates to work properly Remove the updates and get back to a working condition if you wonder why I applied the updates...why repair something that's already working...I have had Bluetooth sporadic connection issues with this laptop with a BT GPS unit. The same BT GPS unit works perfectly on a D610 but on this D600 after initial connection there can be repeated connection loss requring the BT GPS unit to be moved around, after which BT connection is re-established only to fail a while later. As the same GPS works without problem with the D610 my presumption has been the issue is a BT stack issue on the D600 BT implementation.

Mar 19, 2013I'm trying to hook up a Siemens Speedstream 4100 and a Linksys E2500. The internet works fine when I plug the modem directly into the computer. When I try to run it through the router, though, the router install appears to work right but I get a message saying that my internet connection might not be working. I power-cycled everything - unplugged all the cords and waited 20 minutes before restarting. It sounds like putting my modem in bridge mode might be the move? When I type in 192.168.0.1, I get a message that says "Server says: Linksys E2500." It also wants login information, and I'm not sure what that would be.
