I got a new Tenda W311R+ Wireless-N Broadband Router yesterday. I already have a wired broadband internet connection in my home with a Beetel 110TC1 modem. I did following:
1. Connected the Beetel modem to the Tenda router using an Ethernet cable
2. Connected the Tenda router to my PC using another Ethernet cable.
3. Went to 192.168.0.1 (as mentioned in the instructions sheet which came along with the router)
Now, what should I set as the access mode, ADSL Dial-up or DHCP? Are there any other settings I should change in order to enhance the speed? I have Windows XP SP3. Also, do I need my Beetel modem or can I use the router without it?
I am trying to setup my network in my home, so that I can extend the wireless signal from my main router by using an access point (a tenda w311r+).But, I want to do it so that the access point isn't connected to the main router with a cable, I want it to be connected to the main router wirelessly. It does say on the box that it can 'bridge' multiple wireless routers.
The access point I have also has 4 ethernet ports on it, so I will use one of these to plug my xbox 360 into.I also want the main router to be responsible for the DHCP.
I tried to set up Tenda W311R as a repeater to increase the coverage. I have done the following, but still it cannot get Internet access:Set up WDS with the same channel and use the same encryption as the Linksys router; Disable the DHCP in the W311R;From the wireless point of view, I can see the Tenda router, but no Internet access.
I bought this Tenda wifi router and connected it.It's a chinese one and the user interface is not much friendly. It works fine but sometimes if u play around with it u will lose the settings you inserted in to it and you will need to reconfigure it.
My problem is my ISP seems to renew the IP's issued to their customers automatically every 10 hrs from the last login. But every other router keeps the connection alive but my router doesn't. It needs to be restarted in order to get the internet back online.simply said,u need to restart the router every 10 hrs.
I am trying to set up a Tenda 150mbps wireless Ap/Router.Im trying to set it up to use it as a range extender.I followed all the directions. I put it in wisp mode. It doesnt seem to be communicating with my Tenda wireless router. It only is showing up as its own connection. so I cant even get on the internet.
Iv got tenda router that is connected to the internit but it cannot recognize the othe wan devise type livel one which is connected throgh wire to the wan router?
i have tenda ADSL router using the internet of Nepal Telecom, Nepal and distributed to two users. now i want to limit the speed of the other user to least and i want to achive maximum speed of the subscription but have no idea to manage it
I used to use a DSL modem/router supplied by Bell (my ISP) and it was a 2wire router, but the signal was not enough to supply my entire house, it was 802.11b/g.Now recently I bought a Tenda W307R, N router all-in-one with an AP.I just plugged it right into the 2wire (modem) and now the Tenda routes the wireless signal. However, I am experiencing that it slows down every few minutes or so, for 30 second intervals, then the internet catches on again and everything is good.
I am attempting to bring up a remote router using a pppoe connection by replacing the current Tenda 308R router with a Cisco 1921 using the Ethernet connection on the WAN side. The connection works fine with the Tenda in place but when I put the Cisco in I get no connection and no answer for my PADI queries.I always get padi timer expired. I do not think it is even getting to the ppp authentication. [code]
I am running Windows 7 on a system with an Asus P5ND Mobo and am trying to install a Tenda W322P wireless card. The led on the card doesn't light up indicating no power is making it to the card. I have tried installing the drivers off the cd but it says it won't as it cannot detect the card and I installed the drivers from their website but Windows still won't detect it. I have tried turning PCIpnp both on and off at the mobo but nothing seems to make a difference. Have they just sent me a duff card or could it be my mobo or something else?
I have a Tenda W300d modem/router that works fine sometimes, but others, like now, it's being a real pain and not connecting with some of my devices, I have a PC, laptop, PS3 and phones that mostly happily share connection, the PS3 is connected via cable.sometimes it just won't allow things to connect, I try rebooting it, sometimes it works, sometimes not.IS there something basic I'm missing? the control panel for it seems quite comprehensive, but I'm no expert at it.
I have a WRT54GS which works fine with Linux both from both wired and wireless computers using Linux. But I reinstalled Win XP and now I can't reestablish a connection following the EasyLink advisor. I did have a connection under Win XP before.
The last instruction on the Easylink advisor tells me to look for something marked "local" I don't find that word on the screen.

I have a Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router with Model Number WRT54G2 V1 and I want to use this as a wireless access point, but I want all other features disabled. I don't want it assigning IPs and interfering with our other router or even want to use the ethernet. Basically, I want it to work as an airport and just that. I was wondering if there is any way to set it up like that.
My ISP comes in via phone line to modem then to wireless router.I want to run 200' direct burial line to WAP so that I can access wireless internet at the far point. I have modem and wireless router. what do I need to do the create the distant wireless access?
I am looking for a 3G mobile broadband wireless router WITH dual band frequencies and 4 gigabyte ports OR could the DAP-1350 be connected to my DIR 655 that at least has the gigabyte ethernet ports? (Would I connect it to the Internet port or to one of the Ethernet ports and turn the 655 into an access point?)
I have a sprint 250u Sierra USB for my Internet. There isn't anything else available where I live, and don't even get me started on satellite Internet .What I'd like to do is have an Internet connection with a wireless router with dual band frequencies and at least 4 gigabyte switch ports to share a NAS device that I'm going to buy in the near future along with a printer and surveillance camera. That way I don't have to have multiple wireless devices to connect to for what I want to be able to do.
I have a god-knows-which brand broadband router through which I access the net. This router has 4 ethernet ports. I have 2 laptops (with wifi obviously) & a desktop connected to the router by the standard LAN cable. I was wondering if I could network all the three through the router
Just got a never used AT+T Wireless Router (2701HG-B Gateway) from a friend to use with my laptop and comcast broadband connection. I have windows vista, and use IE as my main browser. Can I used, or is it set up to only work with an AT+T connection? I do have all the software discs that came with the unit, but haven't run them as they seem mainly for setting up DSL connection with AT+T.
I work with Windows XP professional, version 2002 service pack 3. And I've lost the installation CD for TrueMobile 2350 Wireless Broadband Router, and the instructions like http://my.router/ is not working (error msg "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage").

Link above is not working also, because at instruction doesn't work, it can not find the IP below:

I have a Netgear WNR3500L wireless router. I assume it's v1 because on the back it doesn't have "v" anything. Firmware version V1.2.2.44_35.0.53NA.When I connect using g I get 22+Mbps download speed. When I connect using n I get 10 Mbps. I've tried using both WPA2 only (laptop reports 130 Mbps connection I believe) as well as the combo WPA+WPA2 (laptop reports connection of 117 Mbps).Broadband download results don't change - they stay at the 10 Mbps level. I've fiddled with some of the settings on my laptop's wireless card - but the results are the same. For now I'm just trying to figure out where I should focus my investigation and fiddling efforts - on the laptop or on the router.
I want to set a password to secure my internet broadband but the manual states address as 192.168.2.1 - this asks for a username and password which are supposed to be admin and 1234 - although manual shows a screen with just a password and says bypass it.
