Apr 24, 2012A while ago I replaced my wireless card, and the new one get's considerably weaker signal strength and drops out periodically. I'm sure the problem is with the card itself (or its firmware). It not only get's weak signal strength from my router, but every surrounding network, and sometimes can't detect any networks for a few minutes. I've used several other wi-fi devices in the same spot where this system is sitting and they all get excellent signal strength.I've already tried changing channels on my router and re-installing drivers. Neither has any effect.The card in question is a TP-Link TL-WN951N.

Feb 8, 2011I have a 2wire Modem connected to a Cisco Wireless N Router, that is connected to another Cisco Wireless N Router. All was working well. In my absence sbc (AT&T) changed the pass word of the 2wire Modem. The 2wire has stoped communication with the Cisco Wireless N Routers. I connected am Ethernet wire to one of the ports of the 2wire, and connected it to the 2nd Cisco Wireless N Router. The signal gets to the 2nd Cisco Router. However, when I attempt to access the Internet on the CPU connected to the 2 Cisco Router, I get an error Message saying that there is a problem with the Modem and/or Router. On the available Networks selection screen I can see the connections that I want. The selection info shows connected. But when I try to connect, the I can't.

May 13, 2011I'm using a 2wire 2701HG-B wireless router/dsl modem combo. My computer is a Win 7 Ultimate 64bit. The router/modem has been reliable for the last 2 years.. hardly ever needing a reset, reboot, or anything. Then all of a sudden my wifi network didn't show up anymore. I did a reboot, nothing. Kind of weird so I got on the phone with AT&T and they walked me through some simple stuff and they determined it's either the router or my computer. Well I know it's not the computer, I can use the mobile hotspot on my android phone and it gets on just fine.All of the lights on the router are green, AT&T showed that all the tests show the internet connection is working. Since the router is not sending out a wifi signal anymore, I had to plug the ethernet cable in. The system recognizes a connection but says it isn't connected because it is a "public" connection. Additionally, if I go to network connections with the cable plugged in, I can see my DirecTV DVR is showing on the network (because it is connected to the router via ethernet too). So it isn't broadcasting wifi, I can see my DVR over the network in windows, but I can't get the IP renewed.

When I try to do an ipconfig /renew, it says this:Windows IP Configuration An error occurred while renewing interface Local Area Connection : The operation was canceled by the user.An error occurred while releasing interface Loopback Pseudo-Interface 1 : The system cannot find the file specified.The AT&T rep said I may need a new modem and router. It seems weird because it worked fine one night, then the next night all of a sudden it didn't work.

Jul 26, 2012I currently have a Toshiba Satellite L750-04K, which has an Atheros AR9002WB-1NG wireless card.It's specs say it's a 802.11b/g/n, but it only offers 1 stream N and max's out at 150Mbps. While the card incorporates Bluetooth, it's a very basic wireless card.While I had a 'G' series router, the laptop connectivity was great and never dropped me off the network, however when I upgraded my router to a new 'N' series, my laptop would constantly drop off my network, requiring a constant resetting of my wireless adapter to get me back online. Other devices were fine on the same router.Thinking my laptop was faulty, I sent it back to Toshiba under warranty and while it tested ok, they replaced the wireless card as a precaution. When I got it home, it was exactly the same, constantly disconnecting.I've tried every troubleshooting measure available and I've come to the opinion I need to put a much better wireless adapter in my machine, especially if I want to utilize 'N' routers.
The wireless card I want to install is an Intel 6235 6235ANHMW WIFI WLAN BT Bluetooth 4.0 Half MINI Card. I chose this card as it has Bluetooth incorporated and it's also dual band and offers up to 300Mbps.Will this wireless card be compatible with my Toshiba L70-04K and apart from drivers will there be any other changes I'll need to make to ensure the card works correctly? I'm not worried about physically installing the card, my main concern is ensuring it's compatible and relatively simple to get it working and able to connect to my network. [code]

Throughout the day (sometimes even 5minutes apart) the DSL light will turn red, the internet will turn off green and 20-40 seconds later they'll both become green again. It's irritating because it sometimes happens so frequently and causes me to close EVERYTHING I have opened in my browser. If I'm on xbox or an online game, it disconnects completely (even if the light is only red for 15 seconds)I have data error stats .tl;dr: 2wire modem giving me problems. DSL light turns red randomly for 20-40 seconds, sometimes up to twice in 5 minutes.

I did get the router to use my existing 2Wire 2701HG modem.Yes I can connect my Samsung 6100 to the wireless 2Wire but I thought the trendnet setup would work the best.I and Trendnet support set up my router and media bridge and the two do work but my tv won't work through the MB. I tried it with an external Network cable. Very fast, 50mbps. I also tried it with an external USB Belkin wifi adaptor. It works fine. Computer has a Dell Wireless 1500 N WLAN Mini Card. Driver version:5.100.245.20 Date 2012-03-13. I cannot find any better driver.
I have one more problem that I don't have with W7. I cannot rate the computer. The Windows experience index cannot go past the test of Direct3D 10 Texture Load Assesment.

I had a look at the compatibility tableI guess those modem models are not listed there. However, when I went on say the Optus website to scout for a more compatible model, none of them hit it right on the mark. The matrix says it can support E180 (while Optus has the E188), E353 (while Optus has the E353). I have already wasted my money on getting the earlier stated 3G/4G Modems and I ain't going to take a chance again.
