Amilo Pa1510 Connected But Not Surfing (wrong Gateway IP Address)
Mar 30, 2013
I have an Amilo Pa1510 (Windows XP) and I can connect to the router but not surfing (browser doesnt load any website). I have tried the commands "ping" to my IP address and it works but ping to the default gateway IP address doesnt work either.I am using the same wireless connection right now with my smartphone. I have downloaded an app that executes the ipconfig command in my Android. I have used the same gateway IP address in my laptop but it didnt work either. I have tried to set automatically the IP addresses in my laptop without success too. I have turned off and on both laptop and router and also checked in the system window that all the processes such as DHCP and DNS servers are automatic and enabled.
Everything in our small network worked until today when I had to manually reset the router. We run a application through a provider which requires that we view it from the same IP address for access. We have a statis IP assigned by our ISP solely for this purpose. For simplicity, lets us 23.11.23.176 as the statis assigned by our ISP and 23.11.23.175 as the gateway also assigned by our ISP. The application we need to browse requires that we use the 23.11.23.175 address else it is blocked from viewing. When we hard line into the modem, we are able to browse it fine. When I connect the CISCO router and do it wirelessly, it shows our address as 23.11.23.176 what are the required steps in order to set the CISCO router to use the Gateway address as the browsing IP for computers connected to it. We had set it up about a year ago, and i completely forgot how.
I have more than 10 PC om my Workgroup, using DHCP on network, but I have one PC alwaws got wrong IP (auto from dhcp), and can't connect even using static IP (status connect, but can't ping to gateway and other IP)Here "ipconfig /all" on one of PC that work. [code]
I've configured a VPN IPSEC on my ASA5510. It Assigned IP/NETMASK/Gateway via a DHCP Server on the LAN.The problem is that when a client is connected to the VPN , it takes the right IP and NETMASK. ( 192.168.1.109 / 255.255.255.0) but the Default Gateway is wrong ( 192.168.1.1). It should be the default Gateway of my LAN router ( 192.168.1.229).
So network was running fine for about a year or so. Network consists of 1 Motorola SB6120 cable modem attached to a D-Link DIR-601 wireless router. All settings were default except for SSID and WPA password. One day I just couldn't access internet anymore. I've narrowed it down to the default gateway that is being given out through DHCP. The default gateway that is being given out is the IP of the modem (192.168.100.1) and not of the Router (192.168.0.1). I can't find any option on Wireless router to be able to force the gateway address when handing out the gateway IP. Theoretically I thought I should be able to put router on same subnet as modem as 192.168.100.2 but that still doesn't work. If I set the IP adresses statically on the PCs and give it the Gateway of the Router everything works fine. I should mention this is for my boss' house and basically I dont want him calling me everytime he has a friend come over and I have to talk em through setting up a Static IP.
And just for an example this is what I get if I use DHCP:
IP Address: 192.168.0.155 Mask: 255.255.255.0 DNS: 192.168.0.1 Default Gateway: 192.168.100.1
And If I want it to work I have to change the default gateway to 192.168.0.1 I've tried updating routers firmware and reset to factory default numerous times. Is it possible for a router DHCP stop working?
I'd like to add a WRT54g2 to my LAN. I'd like it to communicate with my existing LAN router, and not to talk directly to the LAN. Therefore, in Basic Setup, I don't have the top part (Internet Setup) configured. Is that a mistake? But, it seems that when I enable DHCP, it hands out its own IP as gateway, and then doesn't seem to send the traffic on upstream. When I configure clients manually with the real router IP, they work fine.
So, I'd like, I guess, Linksys to forward traffic on a static route to real router. How do I do this? Adding a route to real router yields the error, "maybe default route already exists."
This is terminating on an ASA c5510 sec+ running 8.3(2) Client devices running XP with the same VPN client get an address from the ASA pool e.g. 10.10.50.1 with no default gateway. Users are able to connect without a problem. Windows 7 (32bit) clients with this same VPN client get this address but get a default gateway 10.10.50.2 and are unable to connect for obvious reasons.
After we change the firewal from PIX515E to Fortigate311B, one notebook which installed Cisco PN client 5.0.7.440 in WIN7 64bits can not access VPN because the default gateway is not correct. For example the IP get from Ip pool is 172.28.22.10 but the default gateway IP is 172.28.22.1. ?
I have a RV042 router. The problem that I am having with it is that the DHCP is giving out the wrong Default Gateway and DNS Server. There is no option to change the DHCP server IP on any of the settings pages on the router. I am begining to think that there might not be a way to do it. I see that there is an option for the DNS under the DHCP page but the Public IP that is being handed out is not the one on that page. I also have 2 WAN connections hooked up as well a DSL link and a Cable link (the cable link is the primary one).
The following information is provided in an effort to resolve this issue: IP of Router 10.0.0.2 IP of DHCP Server (the one that is being handed out):10.0.0.1 IP of DNS (the one that is being handed out): 10.0.0.11
What I want to it be. IP of Router: 10.0.0.2 IP of DHCP 10.0.0.2 IP of DNS 10.0.0.2
I have upgraded the firmware on my Linksys BEFSR41 V4.3 router. On this router i used Statis IP (so DHCP enabled). This worked fine on my network, until this upgrade. Now when i try to ad another static IP , or when i want to change something in the Routing-tab, i get this message ' Wrong Gateway Input! It should be the same subnet with WAN IP'. Strange because i haven't changed anything in the settings.I already did a complete reset on the router, still the same problem.
when I hover my mouse over my signal bars it says I am connected to a network named 'home-9C78' but when I click to bring up my list of available networks, it says I am connected to a network named 'Reshiram' Reshiram is the name of my network and there is NO 'home-9C78' ANYWHERE in the list!!! I don't know where my computer gets this home-9C78!!! and I NEVER ever connected to a network with that name!!! it is supposed to be 'Reshiram
I have a 2003 server that is doing something wrong. When I show the mac address table I can see that the server is assigning a bad mac address to several IPS. The server assign a non-existent mac address to some IPS for this reason the server stobut I would like to solve the problem
I am having trouble with getting a copier that I have networked to stay registered in the system. When connecting all the equipment back for the new year I was having trouble getting this one specific copier back online properly. I used to have it assigned with a static IP because the person that was here before me had all the computers map the printer using the IP instead of Hostname but that was causing IP conflicts so I removed it and mapped the printer through Hostname which is made "MPF-TOSHRM328"So now for the actual problem, after the copier got the new dynamic IP of 10.8.214.151 i thought it would be fine and everything would click in because it was mapped to the host name and not the IP. But when I do a tracert on the hostname it still shows up with the old IP. and now that the old ip has been reassigned it actually points to a physical machine now. Weird. All attempts to flush the DNS have not resolved the issue. I even tried going in and deleting the entries in manually. No luck. As a point of reference here is the result from the tracert.Tracing route to MFP-TOSHRM328.78B450.nycboe.org [10.8.214.126] over a maximum of 30 hops: 1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms SLS330W09 [10.8.214.126]Trace complete. I should also mention that this server is only here in the sense that it is the DC for the computers on this floor. There is a whole other system that assigns the IP's and handles the DNS. I do not have access to it, it is run by the main network people at the central offices.
i have a cisco router that has dhcp configured, the router ip address is 10.10.10.***. all computer that attached to the router are using static ip and works fine but when i am connecting my laptop using wireless in gets an 192.168.1.*** address.
Do not have internet connectivity, despite all the lights lit on calbe modem and the ASUS WL520GU router and only the internet and ethernet lights are lit on the Linksys 2102.Despite numerous reboots, no change and even bypassing the router and connecting directly to ATA still no conectivity. When I open a browser, it reverts to the Asus error page, "reason for failed connection: You have set the wrong dynamic or static IP address, though nothing was changed.Funny thing again, a direct internet connection to the ATA did nothing.A google search only just shows lots of unasnered posts on this issue, or only the usual 'please reboot'.
I have an application for work that I need to access true vpn connection :I have Sbs server 2008 with vpn support , I can access my folders and exchange and ... , this works fine. Now I have an application that search to connect to the server via local ip at work but when I use vpn to access it then the application goes searching on my local ip adress and not on the vpn ip adress.vpn has same ip as local ip at work). Now my question is: Can I set the application to search on the range of my vpn connection instead of searching on my local ip when i am not at work but on a different site ?I tryed almost anything but the application still looks directly on my local ip instead of the ip of my vpn
I have tried to search for an answer on the forum but I cannot find the correct answer to my issue. I'm having a problem where my dir655 updates the wrong ip adress to dyndns server. It always report 255.255.255.255. The dyndns information is all entered correctly and says "connected" in the dyndns configuration. So what is wrong with the adress update from the dir-655 to the dyndns server ? Of course I cannot use my dyndns adress since it is always at the wrong adress.
DHCP enabled with default settings. Dynamic IP range from 192.168.0.100 - 192.168.0.199.Router shows laptop with 192.168.0.199 however when I check the IP on laptop I have 192.168.100.10 and both laptops are connected on my SSID with 90% signal strenght.
I think I'm missing a basic step here. In setting up a RV220W device behind either a cable modem or a DSL modem, the address that is being returned is not the public IP address of the modem, but rather the private IP address assigned by the modem to the RV220W. Doesn't matter for normal web access but trying to set up a VPN tunnel fails due to the inaccurate IP address.
If I do the same thing but use the dyndns.com application on a computer behind all of this (connected on the private LAN of the RV220W via cable), it reports the external IP address correctly. That works in some locations if I have an always on computer to load the application to. In some cases, however, there isn't such a computer to leave dedicated to running the separate program.
Since this works, and the RV220W doesn't, there is some difference between the Cisco implementation and the dyndns.com implementation.
So, is there a way to get the RV220W to return the true external IP address, or is it stuck returning a private address?
Frameware version: 1.0.03. Environment: Internet (external IP say 24.x.x.x) ISP provided modem+router (192. 168. 1.x/ 24 IPTV network) E4200 (192.168.0.x/24 my home network).
The DDNS option page did report update succefully and shown the external IP address correctly on the page, however when I login to dynDNS it shows 192.168.1.x, which is the E4200 IP dhcp from the ISP's router.I know that it's double NAT, but the 192.168.1x/24 subnet is the IPTV subnet, and my old Dlink router did support and update the dynDNS entry properly.
Just installed windows 8 on this laptop, everything is working fine, it has all the drivers etc. It does not seem to be picking up wireless for some reason. When I press the quick launch button for wireless absolutely nothing is happening, however it can pick up internet with the ethernet cable from the modem. Had a read of this and tried to install the FSC Launch Manager from the Fujitsu website still to no avail. Cant be the operating system either as it the same problem arose when i install a version of xp yesterday.
I have 2 units Cisco WLC 5508 running software version 7.0.220 with 70 over units Cisco AP 1262N and 1242AG. Some of wireless clients having problem to get the correct IP address from the DHCP server. There are 2 units of Microsoft DHCP. Both DHCP server ip have been configured on the Interface at the WLC. The core switch also being configured with ip helper. I've attached the debug output of one of the wireless client during the problem.
I have sorted out one issue but now i have another - the famous Wifi switchHave installed newest drivers plus the launch manager that appears to do nothing also the intel software package to manage networks.XP has found and installed the card but show not connected in bottom right of screen and cant find any networks. The intel app says radio is turned off but the switch does nothing to solve this. Cant see anything in the bios
I just built my first comp and everything is up and running..no problems for about a week. but now my internet is slow... like 10 ks slow.i am on satalite internet with my comp on a lan cable to the router. my wife's laptop is wireless.. both seem to run fine with explorer etc, but when i try to download updates for games or comp, all but stalls out.
I heard that it is possible to surf on the Internet during a flight not long ago but I do not really know whether airlines really offer such a service. Do you know any airline? I would like to book a flight but found nothing on this website concerning surfing on the Internet during the flight.
I am ignorant with networking. The most I know is /ipconfig.I am stationed in Japan and have a fiber modem going into my DIR-655. For about two years everything has been fine...no problems ever.About a month ago, I started getting timeouts and page not found errors when surfing the web, but my online games (EVE, WoW, etc) and our Xbox360/PS3 work fine. The only thing I could think was to unplug and plug back the DIR-655. Sometimes that works for a day or a week, but ultimately it always comes back. Is there a setting on the router I can change to avoid this, or a software command I can issue from the computer to clear something?
What you can try:Diagnose Connection Problems,This is what is displayed evry third or fourth page when I surf...I could just be finishing a survey and bam this pops up and when you have 56 K dial up and your computer is already slow, you dont need this slowing you down....what can I do ? I am afraid to do my online banking....
I just moved into a new place and the cable company supplied me with a Motorola sbg6580 gateway and I have a netgear wnr3500l router with dd-wrt. because of location I have computers plugged into both devices (htpc and game consoles in the gateway, desktops in the netgear). how would i configure the gateway and router so everything sits on a single network AND the netgear with dd-wrt handling all the heavy lifting (port forwarding mostly)
i want to find out my router ip address, but when i go to cmd & run ipconfig my default gateway shows blank. i want the router ip in order to access my CCTV footage through the internet. my router/modem is BSNL Broadband model no DNA-A211-I. i can however connect to the internet without any problems. just want to find out my router ip address.
I have a Gateway NV59 that I had not used for some time. Recently I started to use it, and I cannot connect to any web pages. I am connected to my wireless network. I have tried all the diagnostic tests I can find on my laptop, and they do not identify the problem. I am running Windows 7 Home Premium. I have Explorer, Safari, and Firefox browsers and non of them will work.
Have a new Gateway laptop running W8. I have to use Windows diagnostics in Sharing centre to reset the connection although it looks like it is still up.( page cannot be displayed ). Once reset and fixe all is ok until pc goes into sleep mode, then I have to reset again.
I followed:[URL]And my VPN connection is established on 2921.However when I successfully connected to the router via VPN, ipfoncfig shows default gateway being 255.0.0.0,My CISCO2921 GI0/0 has default 10.10.10.1 IP assigned, I want to access this interface with CISCO CP.
