Now that the setup is complete, can I attach my laptop directly to the copper SFP, and access the WLC web portal? I gave my laptop an IP address, in the same subnet, but still can't connect to the portal, or ping the WLC IP address.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have xfinity internet with a comcast rented modem connected to a personally owned belkin router. I can successfully connect to the internet directly from the modem or if I connect to the modem to the router and then to my computer via ethernet cable. I cannot for the life of me connect wirelessly with any devices. The router previously worked when it was hooked up to comcast internet, but it was moden->router->my router. When I connect wirelessly on my Windows 7 laptop, it says I connect and that there is internet access. But when I try to load a page it takes me direclty to this website: url.. Comcast says that it is my router that needs configuring properly with xfinity and wants to charge me $39 to provide this wonderful service.

I have been using a WRT610N router for several years. A couple of weeks ago I purchased an iPad 2. I am not sure if its a limitaion of the iPad 2 or a wireless connection speed issue, but when watching You Tube music videos the video stops frequently and I have to hit the play button again to resume. This occurs more often if I am using Blue Tooth connected headphones than direct connected headphones, leading me to the initial conclusion that I am witnessing the limits of the iPad 2 processor. However, I recently downloaded the Speed Test app and have discovered that the wireless download speed varies from about 11-15Mbps, depending on the location (normal vs next to router). If I go to that web site and run the speed test there from my direct connected PC (connected to 1Gbps port), I get a download speed typically of 36Mbps (inflated I know because Comcast speed supposedly is limited to 25 Mbps).

Still the same thing.

Dell Inspiron 518 I have a problem with my internet going direct to modem, it a constant problem with my internet. I use Internet Explorer 9 for my web browsing. I contact my ISP and they send in a technician to see if it was a problem with my modem, while the tech work on my modem he explain to me that there wasnt a problem with the modem. He showed a comparison with my computer and his laptop. when he used his laptop it show outstanding speed, and my computer was showing time out or webpage can't be displayed the only way i can use my computer for internet is if i boot up my computer and hold down F8 to go under safe mode with network and my internet works prefectly fine, i even try a ping testing under command prompt and website that test my ping, download speed and upload speed.

When the router is restarted using the menu software it will run quicker, but only for 20-30 second then back to a slow speed. View 9 Replies View RelatedI have wireless router F5D9230-4. I use this every day to connect to my employer's corporate network from my home, using a VPN connection via Cisco AnyConnect Mobility Client.
Just about every day my VPN connection is interrupted and, although it "thinks" it is connected, it loses connectivity to my company's corporate resources. This occurs even though I'm connected to my router using a Cat5 cable. While this VPN connection is lost, my Internet connection keeps working.
When I use the same computer, even wireless, connected through other networks outside of my home, the VPN connection is never lost (or at least never that I remember).
When I wire my computer directly to my cable modem, this problem does not occur and my VPN connection stays connected throughout the day.
Note that I reset my wireless router to all default settings other than the password to access its management utility, to avoid any "weird settings" coming into play.
I wonder if this has to do with "VPN Passthrough" or the windows 7 firewall conflicting with my router's firewall?
I've been working with the IT department at my job for weeks on this and a resolution doesn't seem to be coming from that direction. I'm on calls every day that use this VPN connection and it's to the point where these VPN connection losses are embarrassing to me.
My N150 wireless router sees 25mb+ speed from my internet connection but my wireless connects at 1mb. Why is the WiFi being resricted?

I have set these up to work wirelessly before but my question is why can't I connect it directly to my ethernet port and be able to get into the web interface by typing the default IP address without using a utility or installation software? By the way, I am currently using the primary computer to post this and the Belkin Router Monitor still says my "internet connection has failed" and An Internet connection cannot be established at this time. Re-booting your router may solve this problem, but you will temporarily lose your connection during the reboot.
