Bluetooth - Can't Connect To Passkey-less Device
Apr 3, 2011I am trying to connect a device (Wiimote, hehe) to my Rocketfish Bluetooth 2.1 EDR USB Adapter. However, when I try to connect to the Wiimote, it requires me to input a passkey, and it does not have a passcode. There is no skip button, and the only option out of Skip, Next, and Cancel I can choose is Cancel. Is there a way to get around this? I've found other guides and I can't get it to work.I am on a Dell Dimension E510 running Windows XP Media Center Edition SP3.

Jun 26, 2012I installed an IP camera, and had to change my E1000 router settings to a static IP address. Now I can't access the router settings. 192.168.1.1 is still the default gateway, but it won't open in any browser.
I'm reluctant to do a reset because it took me quite a while to figure out how to get the IP camera and port forwarding working (it does!), and I'd hate to do it all again and come to the same place. I'm not very good at this stuff, and it's a small miracle that I did it once.

Dec 1, 2011I just reset my router to the factory settings in order to make some changes to it. However, when I tried to change the SSID to a unique name, I was unable to connect my computer to the wireless network. I then reset my security settings and left the SSID to the default name "linksys_SES_54125" and it is working just fine. I tried to connect with two separate computers both running Windows 7. My router is the WRT54G v8
why I wouldn't be able to connect to my wireless network when I change the SSID?

Jul 4, 2011Much of the time my wireless printer is offline relative to computers on my LAN because the IP Address has been changed to some value different than what the computer thinks it should be. So I have to figure out what the IP Address is of the printer then modify the printer port on the PC to point to the correct address. If this only happened rarely or if I could easily remember the steps I have to take to remedy the situation, I guess this would not be such a big deal. But it happens a lot and I'm old and alzheimery. So my question is: how do I get the router to assign the same IP Address to the printer all of the time?

May 24, 2012I have a broadband connection and recently I bought a new D-Link wireless router for accessing internet on my Android phone via Wi-Fi. Router model no. is N 150 DIR-524.After configuring it was working fine for a week or so and then one fine day internet stopped working on my PC and router LED for internet was not glowing as well. So I called my ISP and they changed my ethernet card settings (nVidia).They changed the 'Speed/duplex settings' from 'Auto Negotiation' to '10 Mb Half Duplex' and then the internet started working. During this they had disconnected my router. Once they were gone, I reset the router and connected it back. Since then it ain't working Internet works fine when the cable is plugged directly in the ethernet card but doesn't work when plugged via router. Router does everything right from opening the '192.168.0.1' page to saving the settings. But there's no internet access.

Jun 24, 2012After changing name and password, the speed became much slower. Checking it with speed test, download is just 0.19 Mbps while upload is 3 Mbps. Wired speed is much better, download is 20 Mbps. So it is not the problem of I provider, comcast. How to solve this problem? I rebooted and reset it already.

Jan 5, 2012I am trying to add the E3000 to my existing network to provide Wireless Connectivity for my users. The main router is a RouteFinder SOHO VPN (RF560). The RouteFinder acts as a gateway and provides DHCP. I do not want to change it's role or settings. When I added the E3000 using a Lan-to-Lan connection to the RouteFinder, all users lost access to the internet. As a quick fix as I was working on something else at the time, I just unplugged the E3000. Now I am reading through Article 3733 that I was originally referred to and that has me changing the settings on the RouteFinder which I do not want to do. Is there any way to accomplish adding this to my network without changing anything on the RouteFinder at all??? By the way...I am located in another state than this router and network. I can call and have someone plug and unplug stuff but all of the configuration has to be done remotely.

When I'm copying one file of size 350 Mb on the Network Storage via WIFI working fine but is saved with size of 2,7 Gb.

I started out installed on the CD and then I kept getting messages about not being set up and finally it kicked me out. So I started out with the basics, changing out ethernet cables and checking connections. I then tried cycling the modem, router, computer and still no go. As soon as I plug the modem straight back into the computer it kicks back on. So then I tried some other trouble shooting ideas on the forums with the last being MAC address clone, save changes, release renew IP, and finally another round of cycling and I still can't get it to work.

Aug 28, 2011A client was having some email issue and was requested to change the 1841's LAN and WAN interface MTU to 1400 bytes. i've used 'mtu' command but was rejected and got an error like to one attached. so i used 'ip mtu' instead to make the change.
What's the difference between the 2 commands and if this would achieve the said change. I've checked using the show interface it's still showing MTU of 1500 bytes.

There were strong signals but connected computer couldn't get access to the internet. so i tried using ethernet uplink instead of DSL uplink while reinstalling the software Since then the light of ADSL never lights, even it never blinks. now the software on the cd can connect to the router. i cannot access its settings using IP address in browser, the page wouldn't load. I am so worried. Can i revert the setting back to dsl uplink?I can connect to the internet very smoothly using my old router so you can't blame my phone line or lan wire. I have tried reset the new router many times but still the ADSL light never lights up. And the ADSL light is ok because when i turn the router on, it lights with all the others.
