I just installed a new RV 120W to replace my dlink router.The problem is i cant display the configuration site (192.168.1.1). My internet is working fine and when i go to 192.168.1.1 i can logon (with the password i set using the installation disk) but then i see the top of the config site (blue) but where the config panel should be i see `site cannot be displayed`.

The two sites have a VDSL connexion with dynamic public IP addresses. Unfortunately, our ISP does not offer static IP addresses with VDSL connexions.

The VPN tunnel is working fine, however a phone at the remote site drops calls, even though they sound clear and unblemished. I have set highest priority on the port the phone is hooked up to at the remote site, and have set a priority for upload traffic on both routers, but the phone stills drops calls after 2 to 3 minutes.

I made my quick vpn client under vpn tab. I enabled remote management. Every time I try to connect I get the failed to establish connection. Using the same quick VPN software I can connect to a rv082 with no trouble.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently replaced a client's router with a Cisco RV 120W. The client employs a web-based application on an internal server that manages their business. Workers in the field use a handheld device power by WIndows Mobile to access a mobile version of the the web-based app. Data contained on the mobile app syncronizes with the server when workers choose a sync menu. Some workers perform this sync in the field, others wait till they return to the office and use the wireless provided by the router. Prior to changing the router, the synching worked fine either inside or outside the company network. The mobile app accesses the internal server via the router's public IP address. The router forwards the http requests to the internal server. But now the synching does not work internally. I assume it's because the Cisco RV 120 W does not support NAT Loopback, or I simply haven't figured out how to enable it. Does anyone know how to enable NAT Loopback on the RV 120 W so I can access the web-based app by through the router's external IP while on the private side of the LAN??

View 1 Replies View RelatedI managed to set up an ipsec vpn between the RV 120W (responder) and Shrewsoft vpn client.The virtual ip and dns for the client pc are manually set. The tunnel is enabled, but I see no traffic between the local and the remote LAN.I can't ping or reach any pc behind the router.Using the command ipconfig /all on the client pc, I see that no gateway is assigned to the virtual vpn interface.So it seems that the RV 102W is unable to pass to the client the address of the default gateway for the lan, and I think this is why I can't access any resource.

I copied most of settings. First big technical problem was with phone. It stopped working - call could get through but when answered there was no sound. We use linksys modem for VoIP. I called operator and was told to disable sip alg. I did that and service improved a little. When answering a call sound could get through but would stop for few moments and then continue. Operator told me to forward port 16384 to 16482 to VoIP modem IP. But I can only set forwarding for one port at the time in "Port forwarding" settings. Is there a way to forward to port range?
I have a RV 120W router and SBS 2011 Essentials server. The remote access was working porperly, but now when I type the URL it brings up the RV login screen instead of the Remote Access sign in page. I am not certain what settings are messed up.

I have one little problem, at one of our offices they have a brother printer that has a scanner built in, since this change over the scanner does not seem to want to work,
as far as i can guess the router is blocking communication to the scanner, printing is working fine. is there anything that I need to enable or add to the settings on the cisco to get this working? I believe that the printer is using some kind of multicast to connect to the PC's

We have 2 locations (site A and site B) connected with a Site to Site VPN (PPTP) running under Windows Server 2008 R2 with TMG 2010. This Site to Site VPN worked very well until we replaced our old router with the RV120W at site B. Since this moment, our engineers are not able to make the site to site VPN work again. The TMG box are located just behind the router.
We have followed some threads about Port Forwarding but it did not solve our issue (others port forwarding rules for RDP for example work). Our RV120W is running the last stable firmware (1.0.2.6) provided by Cisco.
I recently cut over from a WRT54G to a RV120W. I am having an issue where I type [URL] (for a server running on my network) in my web browser while on the internal network and it always comes back with the router login page. Basically it is supposed to go out of the router and then come back in on the public IP address and hit that server. There was a function on the WRT54G called "Filter Internet NAT redirection" which when turned off would allow this to happen. I am not seeing a feature like this on the RV120W

I've recently received this new Cisco 1921 routers with Cisco CP loaded, so it comes up with the annoying change username and password at first access. I've removed all of those files from the flash memory, and rebooted it, and it came up with the proper initial configuration dialog, which is what I wanted. But, whenever I configure the router with a set of basic configuration, like interface, routing, and snmp loggings, and hit wr mem, it doesn't display at all when I do "sh run". It's weird cause when I do sh run | sec rip or any other stuff that I have configured, it shows up , but not in sh run at all.
What's the deal with the new routers? Even sh version doesn't show the config-register or memory allocation details.

i have one asa 5505 that have classic remote access vpn set-up and now i need to add site-to-site tunnel on top of the existing configuration. Is that possible with asa 5505 and do i need some special IOS bundle for that? May i use vpn wizard for that or do i need to go through cli since remote access vpn is setup using wizard.

Site A - headquarters 192.168.1.x
Site B - remote office 192.168.20.x
Site C - remote office 192.168.30.x
Site A - ASA 5510
Site B - ASA 5505
Site C - ASA 5505
Site-to-site VPN is established and works between A and B, A and C. Users would like to establish a tunnel between B and C to work on a common project and the data is on Site B.
I tried configuring the S2S VPN with pre-shared keys on both firewalls at sites B and C but in the end it is not established (I cannot ping either side). I used the Wizard interface multiple times and one time the CLI. I generally followed the settings chosen between the headquarter and the individual remote sites and tried to replicate them. Obviously I have made a mistake somewhere.
Could there be any limitation on the ASA 5505 in terms of licensing and the number of S2S tunnels?
I recently installed a new RV120W router at one of my customer's office. I have 2 users connecting using the Quick VPN software.The first one is running on a Windows XP Pro SP3. Everything works great on this PC.The second PC is running on a Windows Vista - The QUICKVPN client stays at Veryfing Network and Eventually I get an error " The remote gateway is not responding. View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with a Site to Site VPN configuration between an ASA 5505 and a 1941 ISR. I can get tunnels without NAT up without any difficulty, but there are several remote sites with the same inside network which need NAT to traverse the tunnel from those ASAs to the ISR, which is acting as a hub.
The tunnel from ASA (1) to the ISR vpn router is working perfectly, but the tunnel to ASA (2) is not working. From what I can see in an ASA packet trace that tunnel is sending the NAT traffic out to the internet, rather than across the tunnel. I have tried using the NAT subnet as the interesting traffic for the tunnel, the LAN subnet as the interesting traffic for the tunnel, static NAT entries, policy NAT entries, but all have failed. How do I get the tunnel to see the NAT IP addresses?
I configured every thing in both site, there is a connection between my sites BUT I can't access my resources from Site B with it has RV042. It also shows that it connected to my ASA in Site A but there is no traffic between sites !!! I don't know what should I do now ?

We have a functional configuration, but looking to implement a backup site-site configuration on the ASA, using different service providers. The observation is that as soon as i add the 'connection-type originate-only' to the crypto map on the ASA, the tunnel is fatally broken. As soon as statement is removed the tunnel comes is restored. just wanted to confirm that the 'connection-type originate-only' configuration on the Central ASA is supported with the Cisco IOS peer. Documentation seems to indicate there is some sort of proprietary exchange that is supported only between ASA peers.

The configuration of IKE and IPSEC is working and the tunnel comes up but the problem is that the router is passing our internal IP addresses through the tunnel. The remote end we are connecting to requires us to hide all traffic behind one IP address which would ideally be our external static IP address from our ISP.
