View 2 Replies View RelatedFor the life of me I can’t get my quick VPN client to connect to my Cisco 120w. I have IPSec gateway to gateway setup and working just fine. I made my quick vpn client under vpn tab. I enabled remote management. Every time I try to connect I get the failed to establish connection. Using the same quick VPN software I can connect to a rv082 with no trouble.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently replaced a client's router with a Cisco RV 120W. The client employs a web-based application on an internal server that manages their business. Workers in the field use a handheld device power by WIndows Mobile to access a mobile version of the the web-based app. Data contained on the mobile app syncronizes with the server when workers choose a sync menu. Some workers perform this sync in the field, others wait till they return to the office and use the wireless provided by the router. Prior to changing the router, the synching worked fine either inside or outside the company network. The mobile app accesses the internal server via the router's public IP address. The router forwards the http requests to the internal server. But now the synching does not work internally. I assume it's because the Cisco RV 120 W does not support NAT Loopback, or I simply haven't figured out how to enable it. Does anyone know how to enable NAT Loopback on the RV 120 W so I can access the web-based app by through the router's external IP while on the private side of the LAN??

View 1 Replies View RelatedI managed to set up an ipsec vpn between the RV 120W (responder) and Shrewsoft vpn client. The virtual ip and dns for the client pc are manually set. The tunnel is enabled, but I see no traffic between the local and the remote LAN.I can't ping or reach any pc behind the router.Using the command ipconfig /all on the client pc, I see that no gateway is assigned to the virtual vpn interface. So it seems that the RV 102W is unable to pass to the client the address of the default gateway for the lan, and I think this is why I can't access any resource.

I copied most of settings. First big technical problem was with phone. It stopped working - call could get through but when answered there was no sound. We use linksys modem for VoIP. I called operator and was told to disable sip alg. I did that and service improved a little. When answering a call sound could get through but would stop for few moments and then continue. Operator told me to forward port 16384 to 16482 to VoIP modem IP. But I can only set forwarding for one port at the time in "Port forwarding" settings. Is there a way to forward to port range?
I have a RV 120W router and SBS 2011 Essentials server. The remote access was working porperly, but now when I type the URL it brings up the RV login screen instead of the Remote Access sign in page. I am not certain what settings are messed up.

Is it possible to configure this?

I have one little problem, at one of our offices they have a brother printer that has a scanner built in, since this change over the scanner does not seem to want to work,

View 1 Replies View RelatedWe have just acquired a Cisco RV120W Firewall Router and we are experiencing issues with this router. I've read some threads related to port forward issue with RV120W before writing this new topic.
We have 2 locations (site A and site B) connected with a Site to Site VPN (PPTP) running under Windows Server 2008 R2 with TMG 2010. This Site to Site VPN worked very well until we replaced our old router with the RV120W at site B. Since this moment, our engineers are not able to make the site to site VPN work again. The TMG box are located just behind the router.
We have followed some threads about Port Forwarding but it did not solve our issue (others port forwarding rules for RDP for example work). Our RV120W is running the last stable firmware (1.0.2.6) provided by Cisco.
I recently cut over from a WRT54G to a RV120W. I am having an issue where I type [URL] (for a server running on my network) in my web browser while on the internal network and it always comes back with the router login page. Basically it is supposed to go out of the router and then come back in on the public IP address and hit that server. There was a function on the WRT54G called "Filter Internet NAT redirection" which when turned off would allow this to happen. I am not seeing a feature like this on the RV120W

I recently installed a new RV120W router at one of my customer's office. I have 2 users connecting using the Quick VPN software. The first one is running on a Windows XP Pro SP3. Everything works great on this PC.The second PC is running on a Windows Vista - The QUICKVPN client stays at Veryfing Network and Eventually I get an error " The remote gateway is not responding. Do you want to wait?I have disabled Firewall on both PCS for troubleshooting purposes.

The two sites have a VDSL connexion with dynamic public IP addresses. Unfortunately, our ISP does not offer static IP addresses with VDSL connexions.
I plan to do the following : install two RV 120W routers, one at each site, right after the VDSL modemconfigure the modems in bridge mode, such that the 120Ws get directly the WAN IP address and trafficuse DynDNS to assign domain names (site1.dyndns.org and site2.dyndns.org) to each siteassign different subnets to each site (ie 192.168.1/24 for site 1 and 192.168.2/24 for site 2)configure a VPN tunnel in gateway mode using the FQDN (site.dyndsn.org and site2.dyndns.org) of each site on both routers, with corresponding remote subnets
I will be doing some traveling this summer and need reliable access to the internet for my laptop, and smartphone if possible. What would be the easiest way to be connected anywhere? Most places I will be wont have any wi-fi signal at all.

I can still connect just fine to the router interface. And if I plug in hardwired Ethernet, I can access the Internet just fine.I previously had a DIR-615 in operation with no problems.
-ISP modem Motorola SB6121 (stand-alone cable modem)
-QoS/traffic shaping off; also disabled advanced DNS (tried OpenDNS as well as Comcast defaults)
-DNS relay enabled
-Using reserved IP addresses on the local network, all devices are set to DHCP
-Enabled/disabled UPnP/multicast
-Tried all firewall options, including disabling
-Wireless using Mixed 802.11n/g; tried channel width 20/40 and just 20. Disabled auto channel scan and forced to -ch11. No other wireless interfering. Using WPA2 only, AES, with a 63char key.
-Disabled WISH
-Disabled WLAN partition, WMM enable, short GI.
-Cat6 between modem and router
Again, hardwired LAN connection seems to be fine. I've already RMA'd the router once. When wireless Internet doesn't work, it seems to be all affected devices (iPhone/iPad/MacOS/WinXP/Roku).

After enabling the Upnp option only and logging out ,Can i add a port mapping entry in this router without logging in using a C++ program which runs on linux embedded system .
I was looking for a small business router that has VPN support and dual WAN support for load balancing. Upon reading reviews, I think RV042/RV042G is a good choice. Now am thinking if it supports intervlan/ router-on-a-stick configuration?
View 5 Replies View RelatedIf your wireless indicator is flashing red when you discover the smurf, it can mean that someone has tried to logon with an incorrect password. this is not necessarily an attack, it could be someone you have allowed access too, who has forgotten the password? In this case entering the correct password will solve the problem. However putting your own MAC address into the filter will simply block your own machine.
