We have a customer running a RV 120W, and if the internet connection is disconnected it disables NAT, and you have to log on to the setup and enable it again. This is very annoying if the net connection goes down as you have to manually fix, why it does this and how to make it enable NAt by default?

I have a Lenovo G550 laptop with Windoows 7. For the past year it has been periodically (every 5-10 minutes) losing connection with a wireless network. It doesnt matter what network I use , it does the same thing. When the connection is lost it will also cause any other wifi devices (computers, phones) to lose there connection and have to reconnect. I have tried just about anything and everything including using an external usb wifi.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to enable the workgroup bridge mode on the 5ghz 802.11N radio of a Aironet 1262N, but when I select the workgroup bridge mode from the GUI the radio becomes disabled. If I select the Access Point role from the GUI then the radio instantly becomes enabled. The same thing happens if I attempt the same procedure with the 2.4ghz radio as well. I can get the radios from both bands enabled if I select the Access Point role. I made sure to check that both radios were not set to workgroup bridge as well. I am running 12.4(25d)JA1 code on the AP. This is my first time working with this type of AP.

I set up single port forwarding on all the standard xbox required ports. Once I click the "enabled" box, I am unable to access the internet from any of the computers connected to the router. If I uncheck the enable box, I am instantly able to access the internet.
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy computers Network adapter (integrated with the motherboard 'no fancy stuff') disables, though only when I'm putting a bit of pressure on the system. i.e. when playing skyrim etc.I have resolved the issue temporarily by connecting straight to the computer instead of the inbetween switch, but at the cost of only being able to connect this computer at home. The strange thing in my opinion however is that when we have 3-4 computers all connected through the switch, only this one has this error that keeps occuring.I've checked into the power savings settings, as I'm conviced it's some kind of setting on my machine, and set them to max performance as well as disabling windows from beeing able to disable the NIC to save power.

2. I open Network and Sharing Center, and do diagnostics. They come up with result: "the default gateway is not available". Nothing works. But Local Area Connection and Network Controller are both enabled.
3. I have to restart computer for the internet to work again. However, it doesn't restart: it hangs forever in "shutting down" screen, and nothing happens. Probably because computer is still trying to connect to the internet (?)
4. After forced restart, internet doesn't work, but if I run diagnostics again, they come up with result: "The Local Area Connection adapter is disabled", and fixes it automatically. Internet works then.
Whichever download manager I use, when ever it starts downloading for a bit it somehow manages to disable the wifi on my router. This makes it impossible for me to leave things going over night which is annoying. It happens with IDM and Jdownloader.

The only problem is that either from the internal network or the guest network I can no longer access the Remote Web Workplace - [URL] or Outlook Web Access [URL] fails with page not found. Internally I can access via \server emote and \serverexchange but of course this does not work for the guest network. We have Small Business Server 2003. External access if fine.
View 0 Replies View RelatedWe are trying to take ADSL interface into another VRF i.e (ip vrf forwarding VRF2 under dialer interface), the ip address negotiated command disappears, and although the dialer interface becomes up-up state, the adsl interface does not get an IP address dynamically.
Tried:
1) to reenter ip address negotiated again after changing the vrf of the interface, still the dialer interface shows "no ip address" under configuration
2) ppp ipcp accept-address again does not work.

I have the exact same problem: network adapter disconnects itself and I am unable to disable and enable it again, because it is unresponsive under the device manager and the network and sharing center. The only solution is to reboot the computer, where I can then have access to the network adapter and can reset it.This is since I upgraded windows vista to windows 7 4 days ago. I have upgraded all the driversI have uninstalled the network adapter driver and rebooted, and reinstalled the latest update with no difference.Running the computer in safe mode with networking has not yielded a crash so far, but have not tested this enough.I have tried disabling IPV6 as some people have said this could be reason, but it still crashes.It is somewhat different from what many people mention as I cannot reset the connection without rebooting (which I could live with). I do not use torrents or any site like that.

It is only this port none of the other ports I have open are disabled. I tried switching the server to another port but had the same problem.I have assume its some kind of security feature, since the server gets many requrests that it shuts down the port?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am experiencing the same problem described in this post {URL}. I have seen this happen on different networks, with different equipment attached. It happens on both 2960 and 3750 switches. Basically the connection drops, and we see in the web interface "Port is Disabled". This appears to happen every 10 minutes.
On the CLI, the status shows as connected.

During the outage, I see the duplex fluctuate between full and half. The outage occurs for approx 90 seconds. If I fix the duplex and speed at both ends, the outage reduces to around 30 seconds. If I apply spanning-tree port fast the outage reduces further to around 10 seconds. Before I change any configuration on the port, the logs show the interface going down

However, once I apply the configuration nothing is logged. However we can still see the connection is disappearing for around 10 seconds. I suspect the issue wasn't resolved for the person reporting the problem in the link above, but because the outage is minimized, and not being logged it is going unnoticed.
For the life of me I can’t get my quick VPN client to connect to my Cisco 120w. I have IPSec gateway to gateway setup and working just fine. I made my quick vpn client under vpn tab. I enabled remote management. Every time I try to connect I get the failed to establish connection. Using the same quick VPN software I can connect to a rv082 with no trouble.

Workers in the field use a handheld device power by WIndows Mobile to access a mobile version of the the web-based app. Data contained on the mobile app syncronizes with the server when workers choose a sync menu. Some workers perform this sync in the field, others wait till they return to the office and use the wireless provided by the router. Prior to changing the router, the synching worked fine either inside or outside the company network. The mobile app accesses the internal server via the router's public IP address. The router forwards the http requests to the internal server. But now the synching does not work internally. I assume it's because the Cisco RV 120 W does not support NAT Loopback, or I simply haven't figured out how to enable it. Does anyone know how to enable NAT Loopback on the RV 120 W so I can access the web-based app by through the router's external IP while on the private side of the LAN??

I've downloaded the latest drivers, updated the power settings on the adapter etc. it's becoming a real problem as I often have to be mobile moving from office to office and up having to stay on battery power until it almost dies to avoid having to go into Device Manager each time I plug back into to re-Enable my adapter.

My internet is working fine and when i go to 192.168.1.1 i can logon (with the password i set using the installation disk) but then i see the top of the config site (blue) but where the config panel should be i see `site cannot be displayed`.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI managed to set up an ipsec vpn between the RV 120W (responder) and Shrewsoft vpn client.The virtual ip and dns for the client pc are manually set. The tunnel is enabled, but I see no traffic between the local and the remote LAN.I can't ping or reach any pc behind the router.Using the command ipconfig /all on the client pc, I see that no gateway is assigned to the virtual vpn interface.So it seems that the RV 102W is unable to pass to the client the address of the default gateway for the lan, and I think this is why I can't access any resource.

I copied most of settings. First big technical problem was with phone. It stopped working - call could get through but when answered there was no sound. We use linksys modem for VoIP. I called operator and was told to disable sip alg. I did that and service improved a little. When answering a call sound could get through but would stop for few moments and then continue. Operator told me to forward port 16384 to 16482 to VoIP modem IP. But I can only set forwarding for one port at the time in "Port forwarding" settings. Is there a way to forward to port range?
I have a RV 120W router and SBS 2011 Essentials server. The remote access was working porperly, but now when I type the URL it brings up the RV login screen instead of the Remote Access sign in page. I am not certain what settings are messed up.

Internet can be accessed.I just want IPSec passthrough for some people who can connect with Nortel contivity client to the company RSA server. I can make only one connection. We have 2 locations (site A and site B) connected with a Site to Site VPN (PPTP) running under Windows Server 2008 R2 with TMG 2010. This Site to Site VPN worked very well until we replaced our old router with the RV120W at site B. Since this moment, our engineers are not able to make the site to site VPN work again. The TMG box are located just behind the router.
We have followed some threads about Port Forwarding but it did not solve our issue (others port forwarding rules for RDP for example work). Our RV120W is running the last stable firmware (1.0.2.6) provided by Cisco.
