I have the RV 120W router, and can not seem to get SNMP Set to work. I though I would just check here, and make sure it is supported, and if it is, are there any special config settings I need to use?
I am interested in the QuickVPN solution for a Mac.I am getting mixed messages in my searches. If not, what is the secure, reliable way to use an RV-120W with a Mac?
For the life of me I can’t get my quick VPN client to connect to my Cisco 120w. I have IPSec gateway to gateway setup and working just fine. I made my quick vpn client under vpn tab. I enabled remote management. Every time I try to connect I get the failed to establish connection. Using the same quick VPN software I can connect to a rv082 with no trouble.
I recently replaced a client's router with a Cisco RV 120W. The client employs a web-based application on an internal server that manages their business. Workers in the field use a handheld device power by WIndows Mobile to access a mobile version of the the web-based app. Data contained on the mobile app syncronizes with the server when workers choose a sync menu. Some workers perform this sync in the field, others wait till they return to the office and use the wireless provided by the router. Prior to changing the router, the synching worked fine either inside or outside the company network. The mobile app accesses the internal server via the router's public IP address. The router forwards the http requests to the internal server. But now the synching does not work internally. I assume it's because the Cisco RV 120 W does not support NAT Loopback, or I simply haven't figured out how to enable it. Does anyone know how to enable NAT Loopback on the RV 120 W so I can access the web-based app by through the router's external IP while on the private side of the LAN??
I just installed a new RV 120W to replace my dlink router. The problem is i cant display the configuration site (192.168.1.1). My internet is working fine and when i go to 192.168.1.1 i can logon (with the password i set using the installation disk) but then i see the top of the config site (blue) but where the config panel should be i see `site cannot be displayed`.
i am using the router,rv 120w can i redirect website to a special IP? for example, the website www.cisco.com, can i redirect it to the IP :8.8.8.8 in router?
I managed to set up an ipsec vpn between the RV 120W (responder) and Shrewsoft vpn client. The virtual ip and dns for the client pc are manually set. The tunnel is enabled, but I see no traffic between the local and the remote LAN.I can't ping or reach any pc behind the router.Using the command ipconfig /all on the client pc, I see that no gateway is assigned to the virtual vpn interface. So it seems that the RV 102W is unable to pass to the client the address of the default gateway for the lan, and I think this is why I can't access any resource.
I am not a tech guy but have to take care of some basic IT stuff. I had Ether fast cable/DSL router and it got changed with RV 120W router. there were comment that internet is now working slowly - what could be the reason for this?
I copied most of settings. First big technical problem was with phone. It stopped working - call could get through but when answered there was no sound. We use linksys modem for VoIP. I called operator and was told to disable sip alg. I did that and service improved a little. When answering a call sound could get through but would stop for few moments and then continue. Operator told me to forward port 16384 to 16482 to VoIP modem IP. But I can only set forwarding for one port at the time in "Port forwarding" settings. Is there a way to forward to port range?
I have a RV 120W router and SBS 2011 Essentials server. The remote access was working porperly, but now when I type the URL it brings up the RV login screen instead of the Remote Access sign in page. I am not certain what settings are messed up.
I have a RV120W; configured to perform port forwarding. I have Configured a Port Forwarding and Access Rule
* Sample Firewall: Access Rules: Action | Service | Status | Connection Type | Source IP | Destination IP
[Code]....
Everything works, but in my destination server, i see as remote address the IP for the RV120W. I want it to forward also the originating IP address of the client (the remote address)
Is it possible to configure this?
I have also configured DMZ for my server, but see same behaviour
I have recently changed a couple of our companys office routers over from a netgear vpn router to this, all has gone well with the cisco router providing much better speed and reliablilty... But....
I have one little problem, at one of our offices they have a brother printer that has a scanner built in, since this change over the scanner does not seem to want to work,
as far as i can guess the router is blocking communication to the scanner, printing is working fine. is there anything that I need to enable or add to the settings on the cisco to get this working? I believe that the printer is using some kind of multicast to connect to the PC's
I have block some website in URL Blocking. But they can access the website which i have blocked through proxy server? Can i deny user access proxy server? It has many proxy server,i can not block the proxy server one by one.
We have just acquired a Cisco RV120W Firewall Router and we are experiencing issues with this router. I've read some threads related to port forward issue with RV120W before writing this new topic.
We have 2 locations (site A and site B) connected with a Site to Site VPN (PPTP) running under Windows Server 2008 R2 with TMG 2010. This Site to Site VPN worked very well until we replaced our old router with the RV120W at site B. Since this moment, our engineers are not able to make the site to site VPN work again. The TMG box are located just behind the router.
We have followed some threads about Port Forwarding but it did not solve our issue (others port forwarding rules for RDP for example work). Our RV120W is running the last stable firmware (1.0.2.6) provided by Cisco.
I recently cut over from a WRT54G to a RV120W. I am having an issue where I type [URL] (for a server running on my network) in my web browser while on the internal network and it always comes back with the router login page. Basically it is supposed to go out of the router and then come back in on the public IP address and hit that server. There was a function on the WRT54G called "Filter Internet NAT redirection" which when turned off would allow this to happen. I am not seeing a feature like this on the RV120W
I recently installed a new RV120W router at one of my customer's office. I have 2 users connecting using the Quick VPN software. The first one is running on a Windows XP Pro SP3. Everything works great on this PC.The second PC is running on a Windows Vista - The QUICKVPN client stays at Veryfing Network and Eventually I get an error " The remote gateway is not responding. Do you want to wait?I have disabled Firewall on both PCS for troubleshooting purposes.
I want to connect two sites through a VPN tunnel, such that each machine can access all others, regardless of which site they're located.
The two sites have a VDSL connexion with dynamic public IP addresses. Unfortunately, our ISP does not offer static IP addresses with VDSL connexions.
I plan to do the following : install two RV 120W routers, one at each site, right after the VDSL modemconfigure the modems in bridge mode, such that the 120Ws get directly the WAN IP address and trafficuse DynDNS to assign domain names (site1.dyndns.org and site2.dyndns.org) to each siteassign different subnets to each site (ie 192.168.1/24 for site 1 and 192.168.2/24 for site 2)configure a VPN tunnel in gateway mode using the FQDN (site.dyndsn.org and site2.dyndns.org) of each site on both routers, with corresponding remote subnets
What are the SNMP port descriptions relate to on the SRP527? There is nothing in the administration guide and some of the ones that appear up don't make sense.
I think I have worked out a few by elimination but I wanted to confirm a few ...
I am attempting to monitor bandwidth utilization of the WAN port for the RV180 via SNMP and I am getting strange results. If a 256MB file is transferred from a remote server (without compression), the ifInOctets counter doesn't increment by anything resembling 256MB:
I'm reasonably certain that the .5 interface is the WAN port based on the value of ipAdEntIfIndex.X.X.X.X, but even if that were not the case, none of the other interfaces increment by a value close to the amount of data transfered. SNMP monitoring of a WAP121 on the same subnet returns expected results. I can only assume that SNMP on the RV180 is completely broken.
The router has the latest firmware available (1.0.1.9). There is only one network connection and the RV180 is the default gateway for all internal hosts.
I am monitoring my WRVS4400N with SNMP and create graphs by MRTG. Problem is that data about traffic are strange, very low. I have 50 MB line but max traffic shown on graphs is about 8000 bits per second. Also the "shape" of graph does not correspond with real traffic.
We have a customer running a RV 120W, and if the internet connection is disconnected it disables NAT, and you have to log on to the setup and enable it again. This is very annoying if the net connection goes down as you have to manually fix, why it does this and how to make it enable NAt by default?
I have a CISCO RV 120W router. I have set it up with a static IP address from Verizon. Internet can be accessed.I just want IPSec passthrough for some people who can connect with Nortel contivity client to the company RSA server. I can make only one connection. The second connection fails with 'banner text' response issues. One connection always works. The router has the latest firmware. I have enabled IPsec passthru.
Im trying to configure a IPsec site-to-site between Cisco 2911 and Cisco RV 120W routers and im having some trouble with it. Hoping some could shine some light on this matter. Posting my running config on 2911 and also the config of the Cisco RV 120W (.jpg)
My network is currently running with SNMP v2 configured in easch devices. With snmp v2 our LMS 3.2 server is working fine. However we have planned to migrate our network to snmp v3 . I have configured my few devices for SNMP v3 and added them to my LMS server.
Except DFM module these new SNMP v3 devices are working fine in all other modules. In DFM these devices are reflecting under "snmp timeout" group. I checked with device center -> management station to device; where the SNMP v3 connections are showing "okey"
following are tyhe configuration i have done in my devices.
snmp-server group v3g v3 priv read testr write testw snmp-server user v3u v3g v3 auth md5 test123 snmp-server view testr iso in

I have not used the ACS5.1 yet so watch out for the easy questions
1) Is it possible to generate report for the users who are inactive for say last 30 days? Customer is looking to audit these users to see if they really need access to any device.
2) Are there any known issues while assigning the priviligaes level to users. In current implementation of this customer users are always logged into priv 1 though they are assigning the priv level of 5. I understand with ACS 4.x we can enable the exec process and assign the priv under user/group policy. What are the configurations that customer might be possiby missing in this case?
3) Is there any SNMP or other notification available in ACS 5.1 where admin can be notified at the time a particulat set of user logs in.
