View 1 Replies View Relatedbefore i have problem, i installed CWLMS3.2 and ACS 4.2 and everything is ok, but after upgrade, ACS 4.2 to ACS 5.2, CWLMS can't authenticate to devices and get their configuration. i checked everything include creadential, and i debuged aaa authentication and tacacs on devices. it seems devices can not get username from CWLMS. also i run putty on CWLMS server and try to telnet to devices with ACS username nad password, and the result, there is no problem, and i can telnet to device with ACS username and password without any problem.
the below text is the output of debug on devices when CWLMS try to archive configuration:
R#

View 4 Replies View RelatedWe are using CWLMS 2.6 on a UNIX machine. And recently we changed the SNMP String to our network devices. One of L2 switches keeps logging the following message:
%SNMP-3-AUTHFAIL: Authentication failure for SNMP req from host 10.x.x.1
Where 10.x.x.1 is ciscoworks LMS server. I found a solution on many sites that suggest resetting DFM database. I stopped first the daemon manager and tried to apply the perl script:
perl dbRestoreOrig.pl dsn=dfmInv dmprefix=INV npwd=cisco
but it gives me the following error:
Can't locate CRM.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /usr/perl5/5.6.1/lib/sun4-solaris-64int /usr/perl5/5.6.1/lib /usr/perl5/site_perl/5.6.1/sun4-solaris-64int /usr/perl5/site_perl/5.6.1 /usr/perl5/site_perl /usr/perl5/vendor_perl/5.6.1/sun4-solaris-64int /usr/perl5/vendor_perl/5.6.1 /usr/perl5/vendor_perl .) at dbRestoreOrig.pl line 31.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at dbRestoreOrig.pl line 31.
CRM.pm already exists in the path ENV{NMSROOT}/lib/perl/db
At line 31 of dbRestoreOrig.pl – the error – I found the following:
push(@INC, "$ENV{NMSROOT}/cgi-bin/dbadmin/pdbadmin");
use lib "$ENV{NMSROOT}/lib/perl/db";
I gave the system the path of NMSROOT and run the script again but it gives me the same error “Can't locate CRM.pm”
I'm looking for Cisco works 4.1, but has the following problem:
i bought the product CWLMS-3.2-300-K9, this was related to my account in Cisco, i mean, it was registered correctly. now, the thing is that i need to download the version 4.1 in order to install it, but don't have access.
is correct the steps i followed?, what else i must do??
I am getting following error during installation of LMS 4.0. ( "CWLMS-4.0-100-K9").I have installed SP1 for the Windows 2008 Standard R2, still getting same error. Since Cisco's minimum requirement is Windows 2008 Standard and Enterprise with Service Pack 1 and Service Pack 2 (32 and 64 bit).

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have done this in the past but I cannot find it anywhere......how do you display the uptime of a CSM module in a 6500? The chassis has an uptime of over 2 years, but I believe the CSM module was power cycled at some point within that 2 years and I need to find out if we may be running in to the bug that occurs after 828days of uptime. We are running 4.2(6) on the CSM and 12.2(18)SXF1 IOS on the SUP.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI get frequent internet disconnects. Sometimes when I notice I can't get into the web gui; other time I can get in but I have to re-authenticate, and I see the wan port is re-initializing. So of course, the "WAN uptime" starts again at zero. I can then look at the "statistics" page and see that the LAN packets are really low (like low 4 digits). SO, my guess is the router is randomly resetting. But how can I check the router uptime?? I searched and I see plenty of folks reporting their uptimes, but I can't find it anywhere in the GUI. I want to be able to prove that it's the router and not the cable modem or WAN connection....I was getting the logs emailed, but really can't decipher anything. I have "system activity", "attacks", and "notices" enabled. It's DIR-655, hardware B1, firmware 2.10NA.I already emailed DLINK support asking for a warranty replacement, as this one is only 10 months old. If they don't come through, it's time to jump ship to a new vendor. Will be my second dead one in under a year.
View 7 Replies View RelatedMy boss is asking me to write a batch file or use a utility to monitor the uptime of 16 different ISP accounts that we use across several stores. Most stores have several ISP accounts setup as failover, so they're not always active on our network but the ISP should still be up. He would like this to run from one of our servers. He is suggesting the 'gateway' for the ISP however I am not sure how to find this IP. The tracert utility returns IP addresses which are different than the gateway address in our router settings so I am wary to use those IPs.Which IPs would I ping to monitor the uptime and where would be the best place to find them?
View 2 Replies View RelatedFirst of all i do not have that much know how within this field (Although i work for an ISP)
There seems to be a problem with my DIR-655.
#1. As we speak the router is taking down and setting up the connection about 1-2 times pr. minute! the connection uptime is stuck in a infinite loop: 1.12 sec, 1.13, 1.14 and back to 1.12 sec. It comes back from time to time. but this is the second time this have happened.

My set up is a 2wire router that connects to the internet, with an ethernet power plug connected to it. Over the other side of the house, I have the other ethernet power plug connected, with a Netgear router in access point mode. The main router is on 192.168.1.1, and the access point is on 192.168.1.3. The DCHP server is enabled on the main router with range 192.168.64 to 192.168.1.253. The access point has the DCHP server turned off. The routers have the same APN and security (WPA2-PSK).Also, the wireless channels don't overlap, channel 1 and 11.Now to my problem:The internet always works fine for a few days when the routers are turned on. But at some point between 1 to 3 days later, every computer can't obtain an IP address while connected to the access point. But all computers can connect to the main router (i.e. when closer to the main router than the access point), and then go near the access point and it keeps the connection. If I reboot the access point, then everything works again for a few days.

so upgraded the patch cwcs33x-win-CSCto46927-0.zip and restarted the demeon as read in the read me file for the patch. Now the job execution status is always shows running, its neither fail nor pass.
My customer recently deployed WLCs and WCS in their environment. However, recently they experienced slow performance. To futher finding out the root cause, I generated the 802.11 counters report from the WCS and noticed the following parameters is shown. Tx/Rx Fragment Count/Sec and FCS Error Count/Sec
1. Can I make the assumptions that the overall transfer of packet rate in that interval is the Total of Tx/Rx Fragment Count/Sec and FCS Error Count/Sec?
2. If the output rate of Tx/Rx Fragment Count/Sec and FCS Error Count/Sec are the same, does it mean that 50% of the packet are corrupted and this high FCA Error Count/Sec will cause performance degradation to the wireless througphput?
3. What is the baseline of the FCS Error Count/Sec that is acceptable? As for the case with wired, 1% error rate is acceptable. Will wireless have the same baseline?
when running Credential Verification Report, I get following notification: "None of the devices have credential verification data".I have made different Default Device Credential sets that I'm using when I add devices to LMS. I could not see wether this is bug in LMS 4.1 or if I have to do this a different way?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm polling a few thousand locations using IP SLA, I have responder enabled on all destinations, and I'm using 60 byte voice packets with a QoS policy. When I run an IP SLA Summary availability report, I have a bunch of locations showing 9% availability 8.5% etc. When I go to the actual collector, and pull up a graph of the same time period, that graph shows 100% availability.
Same collector, same data, just different views giving completely different results. I have to assume that the IP SLA summary report is wrong, these sites were not down 90% of the time.
Just a random though to go with that, I do have the IP SLA to only pull information during the locations operational hours, and I did pull the report from midnight to 11am, the statistics should have been gathered for 4 hours of the 11, which is still higher than 9%, and I would expect all of my locations to report like that, not just a few hundred.
All of the devices are similar in hardware and IOS, and I have verified on a handful that IP SLA responder is enabled, and I see the connections, I have also verified the source configuration via command line.
I am running CiscoWorks LMS 4.0.1 since 6 months and I wanted to generate today a report about the interface utilization on 2 Cisco switches (Catalyst 3750G). The corresponding job is created, it runs and then i get "succeeded with info" in the "Run Status" column. When I want to click then on the "View Report" link, I get the following error: "Could not generate the report. Either data is not available for the specified duration or the report job failed."
I tried the same procedure with 2 other switches but I have got the same result.
We have a new 4507R-E Switch which RME keeps reporting as "CONFIG_CHANGE" each evening. When you click to see the change, the only thing that has changes is the "ntp clock-period".
However, we have configured "ntp clock-period" as an exclude command in RME Config Managment.
I need to understand why change audit report reports an unused username Name of the user who performed the change. This is the name entered when the user logged in. It can be the name under which the LMS application is running, or the name using which the change was performed on the device. #The User Name field may not always reflect the user name. The User Name is reflected only when: A config change was performed using LMS. #A config change was performed outside of LMS, but the network has username-based AAA security model, wherein authentication is performed by an AAA server, which could be TACACS/RADIUS or local.
View 2 Replies View RelatedJust looked at report after having upgraded to WCS 7.0. It is reporting that SSH is disabled. It is enabled on the controller. The timeout value was set to zero for telnet access. No indication was given that the telnet timeout value also affected SSH as well. I set the timeout value to a non-zero number and reran the task that generated the report. The Enable SSH line item on the report no longer shows up.

Interface Utilization report displays the interface utilization data for each device polled for the Interface Utilization template. The information is presented using the percentage specifier.
For eg its displayed % (Rx Max%,Rx Avg%,RxMin%,
Tx Max%,Tx Avg%,TxMin%)
I wants report should have the data(interface utilization In Bytes of data)Can we display the data instead of the percentage?
