Cisco WAN :: 871 Scheduling A CLI Command To Be Implemented Automatically

May 15, 2013

Is it possible to schedule to have a router automatically remove a CLI command and add another one its place at a specific date and time?  Router platform is Cisco 871.

I need to have an access-list ACE to be removed and another one put in its place.  I need this to occur in the early morning but would prefer the router do it if it can be scheduled to do so automatically at a specific date and time.

Cisco :: LMS 4.0 - Job Scheduling And Device Group

All is working, but when new devices are added to this group (the branch_routers group), the scheduled job is not provided for these new devices. Is it the default behaviour? Can I change it?

DLink 4500 - Scheduling A Daily Reboot?

Jun 19, 2011

Is there a way to have the router reboot every day automatically? Every few days no one on the network is able to use the internet until the router gets rebooted (which has to be done by unplugging it at that point, since I'm by then unable to connect via the web interface), and having it automatically reboot every day at a time when everyone is usually sleeping would be very convenient.

Home Network :: Scheduling Access With TP-Link Router?

Jan 8, 2013

I have a TP-Link TL-WR720N wireless router, and I am trying to set it up so that it limits the times that my kids can access the internet. I have included screenshots of all of the programming pages, so you can see exactly what I am looking at. Here is what I have done so far:

Schedule: I created several schedules for different days, weekdays, weekends, start at 1900, end at 2100, etc.

Host: I created a host name titled "All", and set it for 192.168.0.3 ~ 192.168.0.199. The router assigns from 192.168.0.2 thru 192.168.0.199. I assigned my computer's MAC address as the "Parent PC", and bound it to 192.168.0.2, through the "IP and MAC Binding" function. In this manner, I hope to limit the kids access, while allowing the parent PC to access it at any time.

Rules: I selected the option to "Allow" passing of packets during these hours. I then created rules, assigning the host "All" to the different schedules that I created. I set the target as any, and did not set up any targets in the target section, because I do not want to control what sites they visit (yet, anyway). I generally don't worry about the sites they visit, I just think they spend too much time on the internet.

Here is what happens. I use my laptop (not the parent PC) as a test machine. When trying to access the wireless, i have verified that the router does give me an IP address within the specified range I created in the schedule. If I set the Access Rule to "Allow" the packets to pass through the router, and try to connect during the time it is set for, it will not allow my laptop to even connect. The weird thing is, if I set it for "deny", I can connect, but I have no internet access. Either way, if I have any of the rules enabled, I cannot access the internet at all. Thinking maybe there was some sort of conflict with schedules, I tried enabling only one of the rules instead of all of them, with no change.

What am I doing wrong? Do I need to set targets? If so, does this mean I have to set one for every site I want them to be able to visit? Can I set a target as the IP address of the router? If so, what ports do I use?

Cisco :: Is Bandwidth Will Automatically Devised Between Computers

Mar 20, 2012

I have a 24Mbps (my bandwidth) connection, what I need is that all the computers in my network have the same bandwith. Let's say I have 12 computers so I want the 24 mbps divided across the 12 pc, but if I shut down 4 of those computers , I want some sort of software that would be capable of detecting that activity so my 8 remaining Pc will have more bandwith. I don't know If I was clear enough?what I need to know is:

-is the bandwith will automatically divised between computers?

- at least is this scenario possible?

just as information if I want to create a client/server with one server and 12 clients, and the initial bandwidth= 24Mbps, theoretically, how to devise the bandwidth between all clients, and if one client is shutdown, the bandwidth attached to it, will it redistributed between the other clients? if no, what happen with it?

Cisco WAN :: 877w Device Disconnected Automatically

Jan 6, 2011

A client of mine is using a Cisco 877w wireless router, they have one IP phone connected to one of the RJ45 ports on the back of the router and their main desktop is also plugged directly into the router - this all functions perfectly. However, the router is in a private house and as such it provides connectivity for all other wireless devices such as iPhones, Ipads and Xbox Live etc. The problem is that the router only allows 5 devices to be connected at any one time and when a sixth attempts to connect to the router the first device (the IP phone) is diconnected automatically.

So my client can be using the IP phone for an important call and his son walks in with Iphone and Xbox, friends etc etc and the IP phone is immediatley disonnected from the router. I beleive that the router should allow more than 5 devices to connect and would hope there is a way of stopping the IP phone constantly being disconnected.I have already paid for "Cisco Engineers" to attend this site but they cannot get it working.

Cisco Routers :: Two RV082s VPN Won't Automatically Connect

If I attempt to access the remote subnet, the VPN won't automatically initiate a connection. However, if I do a "Tunnel Test" connection on both routers, then the remote subnet access works just fine.

Should the router automatically connect the VPN when a remote subnet is attempted? If so, what might I do to make it connect automatically?

Cisco VPN :: ASA 5500 - Way To Soft Reboot Automatically

Oct 31, 2011

Before nearly four years we have purchased 4 Cisco ASA 5500 Device for our organization.Out of these four device currently two are active in field and other two we kept as a spare. Now, in one active device we are facing very rare and strange issue.

The device automatically soft reboot once in nearly 60 days and we do not have any pre or post symptoms of this incident only server logs providing us this information. The device itself located in very controlled environment in a data center where physical tampering or temperature waviness is not possible.

We also asked one Cisco Expert from data center but still issue is not solved. Before two month, using remote syslog service we also started log redirection to a server so that when such incident occurs we have something to analyze but it is worthless log has nothing to tell us.

My questions are

1. "It is a hardware fault or software issue?"

2. "Is it possible with Cisco 5500 that automatically it reboots due to some internal hardware/software issue, if yes how we can trap or monitor it?
