Cisco WAN :: ASR 1004 Cannot TFTP From ROMmon

ASR 1004, has a image, which is on the harddrive, not bootflash and we have no boot commands in the configuration…We are running the ROMMON version ‘15_01rs’ The ASR boots into Rommon, as it cannot find a image (as expected), as the configuration has no boot commands.Trying to TFTP or getting an IOS back into bootflash is proving problematic.Follow all TFTP commands..

From PEC training - Cisco says to perform a proper ASR 1004 shutdown by executing 'reload' , then wait for bootstrap message to appear, then [before commencement of unpacking of the IOS] turn off the power switch. IS THIS ACCURATE. Anyone have any doc related to the recommended POWER DOWN process on the ASR 1004. We have a UPS cutover coming up and I want to be ready to power down and restart the new ASR 1004s we have - properly.

I need to run layer 2 services between the 2 without mpls support from the service provider. Unfortunately there is no specific detail on getting EoMPLSoGRE up and running. I have the GRE tunnel working and I have mpls forced to my loop backs and the x connect configured on the 2 router interfaces. However the mpls forwarding table on the 7206 shows the outgoing interface is 'none' and I cannot pass any traffic across.

I am using TFTPD32 to upgrade the IOS on a router. When I type in the commands copy tftp flash and enter all the necessary information, the router sits for a minute or so and then times out. I am in the process of staging a couple of two new Cisco ASR 1004's which are located at two locations with a WAN link in between. I need to set up connectivity between servers plugged directly into each ASR router across the WAN link. The ASR has 16 gig interfaces (gi0/0/0 - gi0/0/7 and gi0/1/0 - gi 0/1/7), and a management interface (gi0). I have connected the WAN link to gi0/0/0 and put an ip address on it. The servers will be plugged into the remaining gig interfaces. I tried to create an SVI (vlan interface) in an attempt to create an L3 interface to support routing to these servers but these routers don't allow SVI's to be created. how to put these server connected ports on a vlan and to create an L3 interface to provide routing to them?

I bought a Prolink Wireless Router WGR1004 and I have problem connecting it with internet. My windows able to detect and connect to the Wireless connection but the internet browser cannot display any webpage. I have a Linksys WB300 ADSL Modem when wired to my pc it pings IP 192.168.1.3 , default gateway 192.168.1.1 My connection to Wireless pings IP 192.168.1.2, default gateway 192.168.1.1ADSL phone cable connected to my modem and Ethernet cable linked from Modem to Internet Port of Wireless router. Settings in Network Connections=>properties=>TCP/IP=>Obtain an IP address automatically and obtain DNS Server address automatically. Web browser connections settings=>Internet Options=>Lan settings=>Automatic detect settingsRouter Configuration=>Lan IP address is 192.168.1.254 Internet IP address is 192.168.1.2, Security and SSID are working properly. The problem is my web browser cannot display webpage.

We bought a pair of ASR 1004 to be installed at Primar & Secondary data center and one thing is to run OTV over it, but to do that, I have to extend multiple VLANs from my Core (Pair of Nexus 7010s) connected directly to the ASR is Primary Data center, I looked at some documents but didn't get a good idea about it, extend multiple VLANs from Nexus switch to an ASR.

we are experiencing performance issues on ASR 1004 with ZBF as our campus edge router.Symptoms:
- sending small packets from inside zone to outside zone, for example UDP packets without payload
- this way I can generate up to 150.000 pps traffic (testing with packeth software, but we have had a real example with some kind of worm/virus)
- CPU load is about 1% (yes one!) to 2% all time !! (weird)
- ASR response to pings rises very quickly up to 5 seconds which makes box unusable dropping everything what goes through ZBF (so internet connection is gone)
- if I do the ping directly from box, it seems to work fine (no rules from self to outside zone in ZBF)
- if I remove interfaces from inside and outside zone (so disabling ZBF) and do the test again, ASR response goes from normal (0.2ms) up to 2ms (still sending 150.000 pps) and everything seems to work fine)
According to Cisco Datasheets: routing, Qos, Zbf ... on ASR 1000 with RP1, ESP10 should be done in hardware with up to 17.000.000 pps performance.

I'm having trouble TFTPing a configuration from my 851 Router to my computer through a IPsec VPN tunnel that this router is connected though. I am able to telnet and ping all devices on the far-end with no problem. I can TFTP a config from a switch behind this router, no problem. I am guessing this problem is related to an ACL on the router. I am also having trouble connecting to this router using the Cisco Config Professional. Discovery will fail, with connection could not be established or HTTP service is not enabled. I have enabled HTTP service. The CCP works fine when I am on the router's subnet.

I've got a fully working 877w that I'm trying to get to boot from tftp, but I just can't seem to get that going.I have a tftp server running and can copy images back and forth without any trouble.I have this in my config:boot-start-markerboot system tftp c870-advipservicesk9-mz.124-24.T2.bin 192.168.1.200boot-end-markerDuring the boot process I get an error message that says there is a missing or illegal ip but I really don't see how that can be as my tftp server is 192.168.1.200 just like my config says.

I can't get connectivity from laptop to AP using cross over or straight through cable to do a tftp transfer from tftp server on laptop to ap.
I held the mode button on ap and powered on to get to rommon. The ap has no ios so it goes to rommon anyway. ap light is blinking red.

I am trying to implement a small VoIP LAN (you can see the lan in attachments)for a personal project. I am using:
- 2 x XP (on which i installed Cisco IP Communicator 7.0.3.0)
- 1 x Ubuntu (running GNS3 with a c3600 Router)
The problem is that the phone which is not in the same LAN with the tftp server cannot register.
1) Can a phone register to a tftp server from another LAN ?
2) If the answer for 1) is yes, what am i doing wrong (you can see the details in the attachments)? I mention that the ping works well anywhere in the LAN.

I have a questions on an Ip phone when getting the firmware from the TFTP server (e.g. CME) after bootup,- After the registration with CME, the IP phone will getting an auto config file which is the Default.xml file. - The CME will acts a a TFTP server which contains all the IP phone's firmware for different models like 7970 and 7640 in different directories.- The CME have configured with the directory path for all the IP phone when the IP phone come to TFTP and acquired the firmware.Let say I have a phone registered is 7970 and what is the mechanism that governs that my 7970 is not downloading the wrong firmware from the TFTP? Let say it might wrongly downloaded the 7640 firmware? Who take care of this? The phone itself? or the CME will tell the IP phone to take only the 7970 firmware via the Default.xml file?

i am gettinfg the following error while copy the configuration from 6590 to tftp server %Error opening tftp://x.x.x.x/yyyy (Timed out)
1) The file is getting created in the TFTP server but it is empty and a Zero Kb file
2 ) I can able to ping to the FTTP server from the switch
3) I can able to ping to switch from the tftp server
4) The same tftp server is working wih all another Switches (i have checked with anothed TFTP softwares also but the same problem)
5) The switch is in the different subnet, the switch is having several SVIs. Also Configured the command "ip tftp source interface vlan361" (This interface can able to ping from the tftp server and also can do extended Ping from this IP to the tftp server)
6)The communication between Ftp server and the switch want to cross Point to Point WAN link (Another switches can communicate with the tftp server through the same wan link)
7)If i run FTP server on the same System and try to copy running config from 6509 to FTP some times it is working and some times it is giving the error.

I'm configuring ACS for the first time and the config is complete and working, except backups of the view database. I've created a TFTP repositiory and if I perform a manual backup or wait for a scheduled one to occur it fails. I do get a .tar.gpg file in the TFTP server (but can not restore from it as it's not listed in "Restore" as a backup).
It works fine if I create and use a local disk repository. I get a .tar.gpg but also a catalog.xml and repolock.cfg file (which I don't in TFTP). Looking at the logs on the TFTP server I can see it tries repeatedly to read the catalog.xml file but fails:
Read request for file <DB/catalog.xml>. Mode netascii [15/07 16:05:52.167]
File <DBcatalog.xml> : error 2 in system call CreateFile The system cannot find the file specified. [15/07 16:05:52.167]
That seems correct, the file doesn't exist. However it never seems to try and create it.

I cleared the flash (disk0) on my ASA and now I'm unable to restore it with an IOS.
When I attempt to load it with an IOS, it appears to load just fine. It even proceeds to restart, but when it boots back up it displays the error "No images in / Error 15: File not found. unable to boot an image" and goes to ROMMON.
My computer's IP is 10.0.0.1. I'm assigning the ASA 10.0.0.254. The image filename is asa724-k8.bin. Here's the output of the environmental variables and the attempted loading of the IOS:

I have a question about my ASA 5520, it worked well till two weeks ago, and suddenly cannot be accessed by SSH/Telnet/TFTP....only can use the Consoel port to access it now, but other VPN/ACL setting working well.
